Easy check in and great parking. What a joy with luggage trollies available to cart luggage up in the lift. We had a 3 bedroom top floor beach front apartment with fabulous views out over the beach and ocean. The apartment was a great size with cupboards stocked with all the plates and glasses etc. for a long term stay. We ate in every night and had a ball playing cards and watching the ships coming and going. The swimming pool was just warm enough for a good swim and my wife enjoyed relaxing in the hot pool on a couple of occasions. We are organizing to meet our friends here again early next year as we really enjoyed our time there. A special thanks to Toni for her effort in sending my phone charger back to me. It was greatly appreciated.

The reef beachfront apartment was the best in Mount Maunganui. The apartment was nice & clean when I entered with two friends. Not only that but the down side was not having enough time to explore the apartment area. The dishes, benches, bathroom & everything in an apartment was just perfect. The scenery was beautiful. The view of the beach when I woke up was so beautiful. It made me feel happy and full of positivity. The lady at the reception was so lovely. She was lovely & treated me and my friends with so much respect and the way she talked to us she didn’t disrespect us but treat us like how we would like to be treated. I definitely rate this apartment 10/10.

Stayed here for 6 nights over New Year. Third visit and it is consistently excellent. Accommodation is perfect and the pool is the bomb! Great location, short walk to the Mount itself and across the road from the beach. The manager Toni is the perfect hostess.

We had a two bedroom apartment, one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds. There were two bathrooms and each bedroom had a large walk in changing room. We had our own laundry etc and a lovely balcony with access from each bedroom and the lounge with a view of the beach. The kitchen was well fitted out with sufficient utensils etc and a dishwasher, stove and microwave and fridge freezer. The lounge was nicely furnished and comfortable. There was a gym available which we didn't use and a fairly large swimming pool (warm salt water) and a smaller hotter pool both of which we used each day. There was allocated parking for our car in a large parking area which was able to be opened with an electronic device that came with your key to the appartment.

This is our second visit to New Zealand and this hotel. Management as always very friendly and accommodating. The building itself has great views of the ocean, Mount Maunganui and we also enjoyed watching cruise ships come and go from our balcony. Unfortunately our 2 bedroom apartment furniture needs to be replaced. The deck furniture had splinters, bolts sticking out and no longer safe to sit on. To be honest the living room furniture wasn't much better. This is not the fault of the manager either. Whoever owns 405 needs to upgrade if they want to keep renting. Other than that we had a great time. We didn't allow this to put a damper on our vacation. Again we love New Zealand and this hotel and management are great. Plan to return in the future.

This place is wonderful. The two bedroom we had was spacious and it was nice to have the ocean view. The beach sounds at night were nice to sleep by. We had to hire an AC unit for the bedroom from Kennards Hire which made the bedroom very nice. We cooked in for about half of our meals and ate out the other half. Countdown at the Bayfair mall is a great market. We also loved Thai 2 go. We would definitely come back to this apartment.
