We stayed in the double room, downstairs at the side/back of the house. Very private and quite comfortable, with it's own parking spot. The B and B is about a two minute walk to the amazing Waihi beach. The town centre is a two minute dive away or a 10 minute walk. We also really liked the Anzac Bay beach.

Thanks for your support. The closeness to the beach is a big asset for us as it allows guests to have a walk whenever suits them time wise. Having 10kms of beach means guests can walk as little or a much as they want. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you will make contact if you...

Loved the place. While not all the rooms have sea views, the breakfast balcony does. Two minute walk to the beach. Rooms are spacious and to a high standard. Breakfast was awesome and what really made the place was Greg and Ali.

Thanks Nigel for your support. We see breakfast as a really important meal to start the day so making it really wholesome forms part of what we offer. Home made jams, chutney, our own honey, Ali's freshly baked muffins, home made cakes and biscuits and sourcing locally where possible all add up to what we offer for breakfast - we...

Just Perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and a good size. The lodge is within a five minute drive of the town centre and only a two minute walk to a beautiful beach of golden sand just perfect for walking, surfing, swimming or just relaxing. Ali & Greg are the perfect hosts and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Ali's cakes were...

We arrived late, as we had visited the hobbiton and glowwormcaves before we came. That was no problem, Greg was even concerned about us, wich we found touching. Our stay was booked by our travelagency, so we knew little about this place. But we can understand why they send people to Greg and Ali. The room was nice and spacious,...

Travel presents us with wonderful surprises. Ours was Greg. Having travelled the highways in beating rain, we arrived at Waihi lodge delighted to find Greg had made us a booking at a lovely local restaurant to recover and dry out. The next morning Masterchef Greg, in his warm, welcoming way, took to his kitchen to turn local produce into our...

We stayed at Waihi Beach Lodge for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon travels around New Zealand. Hosts Greg and Ali made it really special for us, and we spent 2 blissful days on the beach (2 minutes walk away) and going for walks locally. The location is peaceful and our room was beautifully decorated. A short drive or...

Aside from the well located and comfortable Lodge our hosts were the most welcoming and helpful. Yummy cooked breakfasts upstairs provided easy chat with other guests. Rooms were kept spotless in spite of beach sand and salt. The beach is directly across the street in a quiet neighborhood. If in the region would definitely return.
