Great little motel. Walking distance to spectacular beach and restaurants. Spotless with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Will highly recommend. Welcoming staff, great walks in area. Waihi is an excellent place to visit.

We hired three units for our group. Rooms were spacious though prices were at higher end. Sadly the plumbing in particular is diabolical. Water temperature was totally impossible to adjust to body heat. Electric heaters in line with probably uneven pressures & 2 taps. The bathroom tap was nearly impossible to turn off & again water temperature was difficult. One hotpoint had a dicky switch. Zenbu WiFi was it's normal near useless state, kicking on & off, limited data etc. Poor value for money. If you book - get a shower somewhere else.

Once again Beaches Motel provided the peace and quiet needed. The hosts are super accommodating, leave you alone, bend over backwards to provide you with whatever you need. Room well presented and bed super comfortable.

It’s a very good choice for Waihi Beach. We stayed in Unit 3. The rooms and cooking facilities are good. The wifi is very fast, Netflix is included on the TV. Every unit has a parking lot next to the door. It’s within a walking distance from the beach. I didn’t like the taps and sinks, not easy to use them properly. They are simply too low.

We stayed here as a family of 4 for 3 nights. They had a port-a-cot for our baby as requested and was a very fanily friendly venue. The rooms were clean and tidy. The only issue we had was the towels were not laundered as the sign in the bathroom said (leave in bottom of shower) and the taps were a bit odd which made filling the kettle near impossible. Other than that it was a perfect relaxing beautiful place to stay and we will definately be returning on our next trip to Waihi Beach.

Traditionally furnished NZ motel , a hop skip and jump from the sand Sadly rained while I was there so no unusual forms of locomotion could be attempted Relaxed friendly owners , I made use of the laundry facilities , drying rack provided so well equipped Long ish 20 mins plus walk for food , worth taking the car The local pub has perfectly acceptable food but the RSA is said to be better Good wifi , after a bottle of beer I snuggled down under the quilt listening to the rain and slept well

We were two couples and stayed for one night in a two bedroom unit. We saw the vacancy sign as we passed. We were met by Cyrus and Roberta and found out they had only owned this motel for 2 weeks. They couldn't do enough for us. It is only a short walk to the beach across the road and into the town for shops. It was obvious talking to them that some updating needed to be carried out and they were organising this. The units and equipment were all clean and tidy and we would certainly recommend this motel as a place to stay. The position of the taps over the sinks and basin (which Cyrus advised he was going to change) was the only thing preventing us giving a 5star rating.

Beaches Motel is a very comfortable, laid back place for a few days away. It's walking distance to restaurants and cafes, and only 50 odd metres from a beautiful beach. The hosts Steve and Alana obviously know the area well and are helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. we came away relaxed and recharged. Totally recommend - just great.

Due to flooding we were unable to return home to Tauranga and decided to find a Motel to stay in overnight. We came across Beaches Motel and just wanted to thank Steve Davies for all his help and welcome. Having arrived, Steve did his very best to make us very welcome and understood our situation. He gave us a good discount on the room rate due to this being an unplanned stay and as my partner had no contact lens cleaning solution did his very best by ringing around friends for help to find some. Even though he was unable to locate any, it was very kind of him to go over and above what was expected. Luckily with help of Google we found a solution to our issue. Facilities were in the main good but what was stand out was the personal welcome we got from Steve. Well done on a great example of the hospitality that good people can show.
