Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had another wonderful family stay at Taiharuru - 3 long years after our last visit. The property is still as wonderfully finished as ever and the location is simply heavenly.
We loved exploring the rock pools, snorkelling and kayaking - where else can you have your own private bay and beach?
Thank you Raewyn and Grant for another wonderful stay

The photos don’t do this place justice. It’s fabulous with a stunning view surrounded by beautiful bush. The hosts are very hospitable and really made us feel welcome. I hope to stay here again in the future. A very special place and perfectly located if you are planning a visit to the Hundertwasser Art Centre.

Well, this was hands down one of the best experiences that our family has ever had. It's almost hard to put into words what a special piece of paradise this stay is. From the epic Views, the sunrises/sunsets, private beach with all the fun things to enjoy in your personal bay, a Dream home to stay in that fits our entire family with all the amenities you could need and the icing on the cake the personal care and attention Raewyn and Grant gave to us was above and beyond the standard hospitality.
We can't thank you enough for such a dream memory for our Family.

Our long weekend at Taiharuru Guest House was the most fabulous tonic after a crazy year. The treats in the fridge, the peace, tuis, spectacular views and our own cove, comfy beds .... Plus helpful hosts made this a great few days away. Thank you so much Grant and Raewyn - we will be back!

Our family of four has just returned from our second holiday at Taiharuru Farms Lodge and already we want to return. The house has everything you could want and more, the views are breathtaking and the hospitality extended by the owners friendly and welcoming. It had been our intention to take some day trips but there was so much to do at the lodge - kayaking in the idyllic cove (in kayaks provided free of charge by our hosts), bushwalking, clambering over the rocks and exploring nearby beaches - that we ended up just not wanting to travel further afield.

A perfect holiday. I'm sure we'll be back again.

Our family spent a Christmas here a few years ago. A home away from home no compromises only extras. Lovely location with water access.
Great home with an American Hamptons feel by lack of a better description. Comfortable beds and a proper kitchen with a beautiful ocean view.

We stayed at the Guesthouse @ Taiharuru in April during a week in NZ from Australia. We drove up from Auckland and then flew back from Whangerei to Auckland... Both methods are easy.
We were here for 4 days and have nothing but good things to say;
- wow - what a beautiful place
- great hosts.. very warm and friendly
- accommodation was faultless, very well equipped and spotlessly clean
- place equally suited to couples and families
- the scenic beauty will take your breath away and you will remember for ever
- one night we heard a Kiwi calling .. very unique stuff

And as per the title... we got engaged here!!

Thks to Raewyn and Grant as wonderful hosts and a great place to stay.

This is a fabulous place to visit! The scenery is spectacular -- views of the land and ocean are amazing, with a very open and spacious feel. Raewyn and Grant are wonderful hosts, making you feel right at home and welcome in your new abode. There is a beach within easy walking distance and hiking trails around and near the property. It is a quiet and lovely place -- I definitely recommend it!

We were lucky enough to stay in this fantastic house for 12 nights in February. From the moment we drove over the top of the hill and saw the house and private beach in front of us we could see this place was special. This house is 5-star hotel quality down to the fresh cut flowers in the living room. Every room was spotlessly clean and the owners, Raewyn and Grant have thought of everything, including freshly baked bread on our arrival and a very welcome bottle of champagne on my birthday. Views from the house over the bay are spectacular. It is impossible not to relax here. We honestly can't think of anything that we would change. We will be back here as soon as we can. A great experience!

The best accommodation I even stayed. The house is Luxury, clean and makes you feel like home. My wife and friends really enjoy the stay. Not only the house, there is a private beach at the bottom of hill, 5 minutes walk way of guest house. Owner provides all kinds of beach toys you can imagine, snorkeling gears, surf board, 4 kayaks etc… We stay there only for two days which defiantly too short for us! Wish comes back here next time for a week long stay.
