The Kayon Jungle Resort is widely celebrated for its excellent service, with guests commending the staff's attentiveness and professionalism. The rooms receive accolades for their cleanliness and luxurious amenities, often mentioned in the context of honeymoons. While its tranquil setting earns praise for its serenity and proximity to attractions, some find it a bit remote from the Ubud center. Reviewers are enchanted by the romantic atmosphere and the resort's luxurious amenities, including the striking infinity pools and superb spa services. Despite a few concerns over value, many feel the resort offers a reasonable balance of cost and quality.

I don’t even know where to start with this review. I’m a travel agent and travel A LOT. I’ve been to many places but I have yet to find a place that matches the Kayon Jungle Resort! Their staff, service, property, food, and amenities far exceeded every expectation I could ever have dreamt up. I felt like royalty every minute there…they remembered my name, greeted me, and always made sure my stay was great. I cannot even put into words just how much I loved this resort! I even had the pleasure of meeting Yan, the CEO….even he made us feel important. My friend and I each booked a room and neither of us could think of one compliant! This place is ran perfectly! Our rooms had snacks, drinks, slippers, robes, bath salts, bubble bath, shampoo/rinse, bath gel, body lotions, bug spray, you name it, it was available in our room! Even a beautiful beach bag to use during our stay! Even the free breakfast was amazing! Not the ordinary cheesy buffet…we ordered incredibly plated full on breakfast that included our lattès! If things weren’t great enough, we even got free shuttle service to the Ubud center for shopping for all the great market items. This resort alone was worth the 30 hr trip from the states and I will be doing it again, just to stay here! One final note, it’s adults only so that was also a plus for me! If you are looking to take your spouse on a special anniversary trip, your girlfriend for a purposes trip, or a destination wedding…I cannot stress enough how perfect this resort is. I was a solo traveler (traveling with my friend who was also a solo traveler) and we felt so welcome. Try this resort one time…trust me, you will be singing their praises too. You have never seen anything like it and will likely never see it anywhere else! SOO GLAD FOR THE EXPERIENCE! My ONLY compliant, and this is a BIG one, we had to say goodbye!

Our stay at kayon was one of the best experiences I have had, the rooms are beautiful a special mention for the Royal suite the room is gorgeous.
The staff there is amazing again a special mention to our butler Dewa who was great! He gave us information when we arrived about the history linked to the hotel. Apparently it is famous for the Rama Shinta story a forbiden love story so the hotel is now famous for the honeymooners! Kayon Jungle also has a story regarding the large statue called Kumbakarna which is in front of the Kepitu Restaurant I am sure you will learn more about it when you get there! Dewa then help us with everything we needed throughout all our stay! Be it trips around ubud or activities to do in the hotel he always offered a helping hand. Also an other special thank would be to the second Dewa we met, the chef of the restaurant Kepitu! Who we had the pleasure and honor to learn how to cook balinese specialties with! I can’t mention everyone by name as the list would be to long but everyone helped make the stay memorable so thank you Kayon and hope to see you soon.

Beautiful, fun, romantic getaway for our honeymoon (with private heated pool!)

We loved our villa at Kayon Jungle Resort! This was our third and final hotel in Bali, and the location was perfect for us to get to all the essential sites and attractions as well as enjoy the beautiful jungle and rice terrace views. We enjoyed most the heated pool at our villa as Bali water was quite colder than expected! The floating breakfast was such a romantic and yummy experience!

We appreciated all the details the staff put into making our honeymoon so special from the decorated bath and welcome cake to the team noticing my asthma needs and making sure that our room was cleaned safely without chemicals. That was a really kind and thoughtful touch by our Butler, Kris, who really stood out the entire stay as being a wonderful and cheerful host. We definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking to stay in Ubud with great views, a lively atmosphere, and yummy food.

After staying at Ayana Resort in Bali for our honeymoon, we moved to Ubud and visited The Kayon Jungle Resort! Because it is a very popular resort in Ubud, it was difficult to make a reservation. A pool villa could be reserved for one night, so I quickly made a reservation and came here to enjoy the famous pool. But, oh my god, it was awesome!! >.< They upgraded our room by two levels just because it was our honeymoon! From a pool villa to a premier pool villa! Moreover, there was a designated server in charge of the room, so a friend named risky was so lovely in decorating the swan with towels and roses, from the bathtub flower decoration to the surprise cake. I almost cried.

After taking a winter vacation and honeymoon in Hawaii, I am currently on a honeymoon in Bali! We went to all the Sheraton, Four Seasons, and Kahala resorts in Hawaii, but the Bali Kayon was the only one where we received towel service for our honeymoon. I was really touched yesterday. Ah.

When I first came to Ubud, I really didn’t have any expectations… I think I know why The Kayon Jungle Resort is famous ㅠㅠ The staff is so kind ㅜㅜ So sweet!! You speak English well too~~ You are really very kind!

I heard there was a floating breakfast here, so I ordered it… All I had to do was add about 13,000 Korean won. But today, as the water in our pool did not flow well in the morning, we are providing a floating breakfast at the Royal Pool Villa, which is the best pool villa >.< Ah… Are you one of the luckiest people in the world? The service provided by the staff here is top notch >.<

He then said he was so sorry that he just gave us a floating breakfast for free without charging any extra money. Dewa, who prepared breakfast, told us to just use the jacuzzi and pool in the Royal Pool Villa comfortably~ Ah… That room costs over 1.6 million won per night.. Ah… oh my god…

Hawaii Four Seasons was 2 million won per night... If you compare resort services, rooms, pools, etc., The Kayon Jungle Resort is the best!

Let's come again next time with my brother. I said I was sad to leave today, but I was so happy to be in the pool!

A must for those on honeymoon! Please stop by at least once!!

Be sure to eat the floating breakfast! Haha, I highly recommend it!!

Ah~~~ I don’t want to go ㅠㅠ

(Welcome fruit, 10-minute welcome massage, etc. It’s a great resort!!)

The Kayon Jungle Resort is famous for its magnificent view of the jungle and the three-stage swimming pool, but the staff of the resort is at the top of the service with all the overseas trips I have visited.

Every room in charge is cared for by the manager.
Almost everyone knew the schedule of the day and had a friendly conversation and really stayed in the hostel all the time so comfortable without any inconvenience.

It was really so perfect service experience to want to come back because of the ADI staff.

Bali has heard a lot of people say that there's never been a nobody ever, but if you come back to Bali, you'll definitely visit Karachi Jungle again because of the ADI!

My husband and I typically lean toward resorts on the beach as we are avid scuba divers. However, for our 10 year wedding anniversary we wanted to venture somewhere a little different. This resort was absolutely the perfect setting for our special trip.

We stayed in a private villa with a heated pool which is honestly where we spent most of our time. The room upon arriving was beautifully setup. Our butlers throughout the trip including Windy and Louis, and room attended Januarta, consistently made sure the room was perfect each day and night (especially loved the little cookies each evening :) ).

The food was spectacular. Every meal was delicious and we made sure to try as many different items as we could each meal. They had a good variety of dishes from traditional Balinese items, to Korean, and Western dishes (we stayed mostly with local and Korean dishes). We also participated in a candlelit diner the night of our anniversary that was romantic and delicious. Additionally, each evening contained performances from music and singers, and traditional Balinese dances.

We loved the food so much that we also signed up for a cooking class with one of their chefs. We had to opportunity to make several dishes and were even provided the recipes to bring home with us.

We also spent a morning in the Serayu Spa for a couples massage. Wonderful ambiance and service!

The different pools were also wonderful. Each day we spent time at a different pool on a different level of the hotel. It was very easy to order drinks/refreshments from the staff when hanging out around the pool areas. The layout of the pools made for fantastic views of the jungle.

The service all around was outstanding. Whether is was getting a meal, ordering drinks by the pool, everyone at the resort was kind, courteous, helpful, and professional. We definitely hope to return here in the future!

We had high expectations for the hotel but were disappointed. The price for the stay is quite high compared to other hotels, and we missed the anticipated wow factor.

The hotel is very beautiful, but this is only apparent in the pool facilities. Despite being only 6 years old, the hotel appears quite worn. The building quality is lacking in several areas, which is alarming for a relatively new hotel.

At check-in, the staff were very friendly, but the positive experience quickly diminished. You are escorted through the hotel and cannot explore on your own; you must wait for the right person to assist you. This process was slow and frustrating, and the lack of friendliness and politeness from several staff members made the experience less enjoyable. We missed a lively atmosphere and genuine interactions with the staff, which would have made us feel more welcome.

We were eventually assigned a sunbed but had to argue to get one that suited our needs better. We discovered that the hotel allows outside guests to use the pool facilities for a fee, starting at 500,000 IDR, which can be used as credit for food and drinks. This policy seems unreasonable, considering hotel guests pay between 8 to 20 million IDR per day.

The high price of the stay includes breakfast, which we were excited to try. However, it was a disaster. Despite being offered an à la carte menu, the food quality was disappointing. We were restricted to choosing only two dishes per person, which was puzzling. The food was tasteless and poorly presented, and the experience was worsened by the presence of bees, as the restaurant has a beehive located just 10 meters from the tables. This situation is both health-risky and unhygienic.

We asked to have the food brought to our room, but once again, we had to wait. When the food finally arrived, it was cold, and we received the same dishes that had been contaminated by bees. We decided not to eat any more and left the food outside our room.

Overall, the resort lacks exclusivity. We expected a quiet place with few people but were instead met with constant photography and a lack of privacy. The hotel’s policy of admitting outside guests for day use further detracted from the experience.

We believe the hotel should reconsider its approach and focus more on its paying guests rather than operating as a day attraction. The price does not reflect the value received, and we wish we could receive a partial refund as it felt like money wasted. The hotel needs to improve its service and maintain a higher standard of exclusivity for its high-paying guests.

We recently visited Bali for our honeymoon, and the Kayon Jungle Resort was the place we were most looking forward to. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff with a very friendly and unique welcome ceremony, making us feel like we had arrived at a truly special place.

Here, we met our butler, Risky, who took us to our pool villa room via a golf cart, making the ride feel like a fun rollercoaster! He was very entertaining and kindly showed us around our room while explaining all the hotel’s amenities.

The room, and the entire resort, is absolutely stunning. The pictures online don’t do it justice. Being there, you feel connected to nature and get a true sense of the beauty and tranquility of Ubud.

One thing pictures don't show however is the amazing taste of the food (everything we had was amazing) but more importantly the people that work here. Every single person greets you with a smile and makes you feel most welcome. They are the main reason that makes this place different from other resorts.

I personally want to thank Risky and Lia, for making our stay special and making sure we were always comfortable and well looked after, from giving us bottles of water before we embarked on our ATV trip to stocking our room with fresh towels whilst we were at dinner. Above and beyond amazing service. Also we received a small plush toy from the butler team which was such a sweet personal touch!

Honeymooners, couples, friends that want to get away and be pampered. This place is must visit.

We stayed at 2 places prior to here and will stay at another 3 after we leave. I don't think anything will come close to the experience we had here. Thank you so much Jungle Kayon and the full team!

This is a couple who visited for their honeymoon.
From the moment I entered the accommodation, I felt a welcoming atmosphere. Throughout my stay, I spoke to my husband many times about how kind he was to me.
I especially received a lot of help from Riski and Louis ^^
I received exceptionally friendly service from A to Z, such as sending a buggy whenever I needed it, tidying up my room sensibly when I went for breakfast, and re-tidying my room for the evening on my way to dinner.

It's located in the jungle, so restaurants are far away, but the food at the accommodation is diverse and delicious, so I think it's the best accommodation to fully enjoy a staycation.

If I come back to Ubud, I will visit The Kayon Jungle Resort again without thinking twice.

While staying for 3 days and 2 nights, the swimming pool was really spacious and fun. The water was turned on continuously so foreign substances automatically fell to the bottom. The massage is easier than getting a massage outside, and all the staff are friendly and the smiles never leave their faces. It may seem difficult and annoying, but they really make you feel good without any hesitation. Although I leave tomorrow for only 2 nights and 3 days, it was a very happy trip. All the food was delicious, and even though I used a shower filter, it wasn't dirty at all. If I had time and money, I would have stayed a few more days. Thank you, staff.

Not really. Every time , we took a taxi from the hotel to eat in Ubud (approximatively 40 min).

This resort in far away from central Ubud. All facilities that belong to Kayon are exactly there. If you want something more central I would go for Como uma ubud or if you want REAL jungle vibes then choose Mandapa Ritz in Ubud.

Hey! 14 days is an awesome amount of time to spend there you will love it. I would recommend using a private driver, it costs about £25 a day which includes petrol and like 12/14 hours of their time, very cheap! Excursions can vary massively in prices, waterfall visits for example are free, the monkey sanctuary is about £10 a person. Kayon Jungle itself is more up market so if you spend days there expect to spend a little more on food and drink - to be clear though its still very cheap compared to say the UK or USA depending on where you are from- e.g cocktails are like 2 for a fiver, food is about a tenner a meal etc - they also offer free Yoga, walking tours etc. I hope this help, happy to answer any other questions (obviously I don't work there just a guest but happy to give you an unbiased opinion, me and my wife are defo going back we loved it so much)

Yes, there is a lift. They are on a cliff with roadways too, although quite steep. The hotel has beautiful views.
