There is need to look at the reviews from outstanding to terrible before you take note of our experience. This holiday combines spotless accommodation, close to one of the best beaches we have ever been to, Caribbean cuisine which when you have adjusted to it is varied enough from breakfast through to dinner. The staff, despite some of the untrue reviews I have read, are friendly, go out of their way to help and made our stay memorable One review said it was like motel accommodation which is totally untrue, albeit every apartment has its own entrance. The gardens are beautifully kept and the whole complex is lovely. Comparing it to Sandals resorts it is far more peaceful and relaxing, and less to pay. It is quite close to the capital of St. George’s and the airport is not far away either. Entertainment of tasteful variety is provided on some evenings. If you want complete relaxation in a lovely location it is well worth coming. We were recommended to come by friends and will certainly return next year. The weather fir our stay was beautiful and the sea very clean and warm. Some days the waves were a challenge.

We first visited Dec 2017 over the New Year, for Dec 2018 we went to Antigua, however we returned to Coyaba for Dec 2019 over the New Year and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived and the taxi door opens the staff are so welcoming. They put all their effort into making sure you have a fantastic holiday. We walked into our room and there was a flower petal arrangement on the bed saying “ welcome back” a very nice touch. The food was a mix of set menu and buffet with a diverse spread of dishes that anybody could find something to eat and even if you were restricted to a certain diet type, the hotel would supply something. New Year’s Eve was great, fantastic food, good band and down onto the beach to view the various firework displays around the bay. The room was clean and tidy. The gardens and flowers beautiful. They go round once a week ( Thursday) about 5.00 pm and fog spray the grounds to prevent mosquitoes. The also did it on the Tuesday New Years Eve no doubt as there would be a large number of guests mingling about in the evening. The result of this was no bites the whole week. The beach was excellent great for a morning stroll before breakfast. The hotel gives off a family feel approach which the staff clearly buy into and deliver excellent service and are a credit to the hotel. I mentioned breakfast there were 2 individuals there working on the hot plate cooking your, omelette eggs etc to order. Roel and Clerverine ( apologies if spelt incorrectly) always pleasant always smiling. They made you feel great first thing in the morning and it just continued all day long. Thank you Coyaba for a great time.

This is a very relaxing resort and one of the nicest we have stayed at in the Caribbean. However it is not the most luxurious or modern but has a lovely Caribbean feel rather than being a bland chain hotel. It has been owned by a local family over a number of years.

The grounds are very spacious with well tended gardens and open out directly onto an amazing beach. Beautiful soft sand down into the sea that is clear - no coral, seaweed or stones.

The bedrooms/bathrooms are really nice, well furnished and clean and a good standard for the Caribbean. We had a ground floor room with a lovely patio. It is not a very big resort and so there are not lots of dining opportunities but the location of the main restaurant is lovely and a nice bar area attached. The food is good although there could on occasions have been a bit more range and variety with the buffet options. I think the standard of food is probably the one area they could improve on slightly.

One nice surprise though was the standard of entertainment. It was on for 4 nights of the 7 that we were there and was really good with different bands including a steel pan band one night. It always went on for at least 2 hours which is not always the case with hotel entertainment. It certainly made the evenings.

The clientele can be slightly older than at some resorts but this made it very peaceful during the day. There was plenty of room for everyone and sometimes it was empty by the pool. The pool was lovely with a nice bar.

The location is very good with easy access to other restaurants and bars and also into Georgetown. Grenada is a very safe island and this made it a good place to go out at night.

I would suggest a full day trip around the island as it is a beautiful, a catamaran sunset cruise is also recommended.

We can see why people return time and time again and we would definitely like to go back.

My Mum & I booked into the resort on a day pass to see whether the Coyaba was worth the extra money you pay from UK tour operators. I can honsently say its worth every penny. The day pass allowed you access to the hotel from 9:30am till 6pm to do as you pleased.

The room:
As part of the day pass experience you are given a day room to shower in after a day in the sun. The room we were given was clean and spacious, its ashame we could tell you about the room at night. The beds were extremely comfortable to sit on and wished they were our beds in the place we were staying at. The room over looked the pool area which was quiet.

The food:
We had breakfast and lunch as part of the day pass experince. Buffet style breakfast with a variety of different meal options to choice from. Plenty to eat even for the fussiet of eaters. Lunch was beautiful! The fish option was tasty again plenty of choice to go around to cater for all food types. The nutmeg ice cream was a personal favourite of my Mum's.

The Beach:
Located right onto Grenada's famous Grand Anse Beach, it was stunning and plenty of sun loungers to go around for all the guests staying at the resort. I wish I was there right now!

I wished I had booked this hotel for my10 night holiday but at least I got to sample the delights of the resort. Once my bank account allows it I will for sure will be booking this resort for my next 2 week caribbean holiday!

We moved here for 1 week after we checked out early from the Radisson. We only wished we booked here in the first place. From start to finish the customer service was outstanding. All of the staff from the front desk to restaurant staff to the cleaners were so friendly and helpful. A massive difference in the staff here compared to the staff at the Radisson.

The hot water was constantly hot and the shower was powerful so we always had nice showers. The towels were changed every day.

The rooms have aircon, a fridge, iron, hairdryer, kettle and coffee/sugar which was replaced every day.

The ground staff spray mosquito repellent around the hotel grounds every evening so that was useful.

We only had the breakfast at the hotel which was lovely.

Would not hesitate to stay here again.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Coyaba Beach Resort. This was our first trip to Grenada. From the moment we arrived, we were confident that we were going to have a good time. We were greeted at the reception desk by Roderick who immediately offered us beverage - either rum punch or fruit punch. We chose the rum punch which was delicious! The grounds are well maintained and lush with beautiful flowers and plants throughout the property.

Our room was on the 2nd floor in the block closest to the reception area. It met our needs and although we didn't have a direct view of the beach, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning which overlooked the beautiful garden and pool area. Housekeeping came daily to clean the room and replace the pool towels. On one of the evenings during our stay, a steel band performed a medley of songs in the restaurant area. I believe there was entertainment on one other evening, but we might have missed it.

The hotel is located across the road from the Spiceland Mall which features a variety of shops and a supermarket. It was very convenient to be able to shop for water, food and gifts so close by. Coyaba is also within walking distance of local restaurants to grab a bite to eat, as well as an ATM and banks if you need to withdraw cash.

Grand Anse beach is one of the best beaches I have visited in the Caribbean, with soft, rock-free sand. Coyaba has an area with beach chairs on the property for guests who don't want to sit directly on the beach. We chose to move our chairs on to the beach. The hotel's bar staff checked in on us periodically to see if we wanted anything from the bar.

What made Coyaba special for us was the friendliness of the staff. We were greeted by staff members whenever we walked around the property. The staff in the dining room was attentive and accommodated any requests that had without any issues. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Coyaba in the future!

This was our fourth visit to Coyaba which in itself says a lot. There are so many things to praise but for us the friendly staff make an enormous difference. They are efficient and swift but at the same time ready for a chat and smile. How often do you travel and get hugged 'Goodbye' by your chambermaid? As before the rooms are cleaned to a high standard (and I rate myself as fussy.) Lovely gardens with space for everyone in sun or shade. The pool is immaculate but we only used it twice as the gorgeous beach and sea are the best. This year we did miss the morning melon slices delivered to our chairs as evidently there is a shortage but instead a drink service had been instituted so no-one seemed to mind! The evening entertainment is just enough and it stops at either 10pm or 10.30pm which suits the clientele as we are on the older side. I have always thought Coyaba would be a very suitable resort for ladies alone as it's so safe and Grenada is a very safe island. This year there were several solo travelers and they felt comfortable. As with most all-inclusives the food does get a bit repetitive after two weeks but choose wisely and there is always something tasty. See you next year!
A further thought....we were advised by our tour operator that there was some ongoing construction slightly away from the main public areas. We didn't notice it for 3 days!

At the start the beach is asmazimg. the location is probably the the best on Grand Anse beach, and the hotel and grounds are clean and well kept. The resort is dated and needs updating but the real issue here is the crazy stuff they do or don’t.
1) why do I have to drag my own beach chair on to the beach from the grounds of the hotel?
2) why do I have to wait for two beach towels to be placed in my room, why wouldn’t you just have them available on the beach?
3) why open the beach bar at 9.30 am but close it between 12.30pm and 3.00pm.
4) why employ Lyn in the restaurant when she is so surly
5)Why repaint the outside showers during the day when people are on the beach.
6) why not turn on all the lights in the communal spaces in the evening when people are around. It’s real dark wish I d brought a torch with me.
7)why hot put cups on the tables at breakfast instead of just saucers, very weird.
I could go on but won’t, clearly the hotel has a loyal following of guests earned over many years but I do wonder whether they are truly focused on the customer experience vs revenue. This hotel could be great but they need to change their approach in the smallest of ways.

We enjoyed a return to tropical waters following the pandemic with a week at the Coyaba Beach Resort. We were looking for a quiet week in the sun, relaxing, swimming and scuba diving - the hotel delivered on all fronts.
Approximately a half hour taxi ride from the airport, the hotel is situated right on Grand Anse beach, with attractive two storey room blocks, pretty gardens, open air dining options and bars with a decent sized pool. All rooms appeared to have either a patio or a balcony with your own space, rooms were large with plenty of storage and sitting space. Large bathrooms with good sized shower and toiletries provided. Very typical Caribbean style rooms, quiet throughout our visit.
The dining options included the main restaurant which served a mix of buffet and a la carte options and the smaller restaurant next to the pool which we enjoyed on a number of occasions, with a different menu so plenty of options. Service in the main restaurant was at times rather slow.
The bar served a good variety of drinks which were included on our all inclusive deal, including sparkling wine options which we enjoyed especially.
The gardens lead to the beach where we relaxed on readily available loungers and the water was good for swimming. The beach is long and good to walk up and down. A little beach bar was open for much of the day so very convenient. There were almost no beach vendors which was appreciated.
The dive school - Eco Dive - is located on the property and we joined them for 4 dives during our week. Having not dived for 3 years due to the pandemic, it was reassuring to be asked to take a refresher hour with them in the pool before diving. The dive sites we visited were all up past St George's and the boat we travelled on was well equipped. The dive leaders and boat crew were friendly and professional, we really enjoyed getting back in the deep! A BIG thanks to all involved, we would definitely recommend your dive business to other divers :)
So Coyaba Beach is a mid priced, well situated hotel on a beautiful island. We enjoyed!

This is a lovely hotel and resort with great staff and a wonderful beach front.
Also attached is the independent dive centre, Eco Dive. One of the best dive centres I’ve ever used. Thoroughly recommend them.
A couple of small criticisms knock a mark off my rating. Food service can be slow in the evenings, even though staff are excellent, and menu is a little too similar.
Finally try and avoid a room in Block 2 (rooms 104-109 or 206-212) behind here is the laundry which has washers and dries on from 7.30am-10pm. There really needs to be some sort of noise reduction put up.

I can't remember our room number, but the hotel is only on two floors, and I am sure you can ask to be on the upper floor level. We were at the eastern side of the hotel, which was quiet. There was a stand alone shower in our room. The hotel is set out in small blocks of rooms which form a horseshoe shape facing the restaurants and the beach. If you look on Google maps you can see this. There are at least two showers as you come off the beach into the Coyaba hotel garden, and they provide beach towels, clean every day.
