Stayed here before starting the Wilderness Trail and spent the night in “pods” which were converted shipping containers. Very clever! A lovely continental breakfast of juice, coffee or tea, cereals, yoghurt and croissants. Really lovely, accommodating owners too!
We were delighted with the cute 'tiny house' style unit looking out towards the ocean. Everything we could have wanted was available. The bed was super comfortable. The louver shutters had insect mesh so we had good night time airflow. The kitchenette was tiny but super well equipped.
We loved our Waitangi weekend camping trip. We live only 40mins away but it still felt like we were on a holiday elsewhere. The weather was fantastic, the facilities were excellent and the overall feeling of the camp ground was funky and unique. The staff were more than accommodating wit West Coast friendliness. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back for another weekend. Thank you!
Well worth the stop, lovely clean well kept holiday park right on the beach with amazing sunsets. If you are a keen fisherman it is your dream holiday destination. Ross township is worth a look, with very friendly locals, you can pan for gold or take a bush walk. Awesome!!!
We stayed here on a typical wild West Coast day, but that certainly didn’t affect the positive experience we had at the Ross Beach Top 10. Staff were very friendly on our arrival, calling to check if we were still staying with the bad weather approaching. We stayed in a shipping container converted into a unit, it was certainly cosy on a rainy and windy night that we had! Park facilities were great, the shower/toilet block was especially cool blasting U2 music on a loop! The beach was just a stone’s throw from our unit and was worth exploring. I’d love to come back here and explore more when the weather is fine!
