We have stayed here a few years ago but never got around to doing a review. Friendly staff upon check in, had a few jokes with her and she was very helpful. Once again had an upstairs spa room in the newer part of the hotel. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Spacious room with super comfy bed and nice corner view. Windows were open on arrival so nice and aired. Nice deck to sit out on but too hot both nights for us. Central to everything and a good price. Although I thought they had said if we stayed a second night it would be cheaper, maybe I misunderstood. Still happy enough and would always choose this place when back in Reefton.
Stayed one night. Had a standard 3 bedroom unit, bonus was the wrap around balcony , really big. In hindsight should have chosen the superior room for the two of us with the period furniture but apart from being a basic apartment it had everything we needed. It was very comfortable, excellent location, lovely welcome.
Had a great welcome by the ‘local yokel’ owner. Room very average however spacious and clean. Little soundproofing. People in the room next door partied all night. I went out at 1 and asked them to ease off. They did, but only briefly. Polycotton sheets made me feel like I was sleeping in a plastic bag so I had little sleep overall. Would we stay here again? No. But that’s not because the service wasn’t good....it’s just not a place that suits our needs.
Convenient and comfortable place to stay in this small town of many pubs. While the room was not large, it was well designed and had everything we liked including a king sized bed and nice balcony. Very easy walk to nice cafes and pubs (we spent time at Dawson’s for a nice meal and cosy fire). Motel owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Interesting place to stay. We stayed in the old part of the Hotel upstairs. There was a double bed in a small place and then 2 singles in boxs in the lounge. They just needed glass over them to make the viewing more funny. Like at a zoo. It was funny. Wouldn't want to be tall, as the walls get in the way of your head and feet. Was clean
