Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My partner and I stayed here for one night on our travels back home and I wish we had stayed longer. The hosts Christine and Paul were so wonderfully welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, the room was so peaceful and we had such a lovely time, even though it was short. They were very COVID 19 prepared with hand sanitiser on arrival, masks to be worn in communal areas and checkout a little earlier so they have time for deep cleaning! Such a little gem in such a beautiful area, would highly recommend!

Liked the place as soon as we pulled up- Loved Everything, the hosts (Christine & Paul) were both warm and welcoming, the rooms were clean and spacious, the breakfast was superb – nothing was too much trouble. It was our 1st experience with face masks for the pandemic issue which you get used to fairly quickly.
Location wise – not far from anywhere, Lyndhurst was 5 minutes drive, near the train station for those who walk. Idyllic location.

Foods out and about, with the government eat out scheme every eatery is rammed full, pre book your tables at least 2 days before or be disappointed and hungry.

We had a warm welcome and Paul and Christine were always ready for a chat as we left or returned. The room was clean and spacious, with ample storage space. The cottage is in a secluded situation but close to the main road for easy access. There are two pubs that serve food within walking distance and a Co-op shop in the village with a cashpoint. The prices were very reasonable and our hosts were happy to be flexible about breakfast arrangements.
If you're looking for a base to explore the New Forest, it would be very difficult to find a better one.

We spent a very pleasant 4 nights at Kingswood Cottage, in spite of it being early March and less than perfect weather. Christine and Paul were friendly, helpful and professional, the room was warm and cosy, the breakfast plentiful and delicious, the house and extensive grounds kept to a very high standard. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at Kingswood Cottage for 2 nights and had a fabulous time! The room was spacious, spotless and very cozy. Christine and Paul were friendly and helpful and provided us with great walking trails and local knowledge. They made a 5 star breakfast with home-made jams and perfect poached eggs! Highly recommend staying here!

We got back from a 2 night b&b stay here and miss it already, the hosts Christine and Paul were so lovely and welcoming and the cottage and garden is beautiful. The bed was comfy and we slept very well. The room had everything you need , but the hosts were always checking if we needed anything else and were more than happy to help too. There were lots of delicious options for breakfast, definitely recommend the smoked trout , which we were lucky enough to enjoy outside in the gorgeous garden. Very good value for money, and in an excellent location. Paul was very helpful in recommending the best places to visit in the new forest for our days out. We had a perfect stay and cannot wait to come back again!

The cottage is very beautiful in a quiet area, the room was spotlessly clean, and the service from the host was excellent for wonderful choices of cooked breakfast. We would have no hesitation in returning. There are pubs within walking distance for meals.

Christine and Paul were wonderful hosts and offer a really warm welcome to their home. We had two rooms - a double and a twin. Both were extremely clean and comfortable. Great shower, huge towels, very comfy beds with super pillows and all the extras you could want - hairdryer, makeup mirror, sofa, tea, coffee etc. Excellent breakfast choice and cooked breakfast served piping hot, and on hot plates. Look out for the homemade marmalade & strawberry jam... delicious. Thank you, we will be back.

What a lovely place! So quiet and peaceful.
Christine and Paul were friendly, welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They gave us invaluable information on the local area and where to eat.
We stayed two nights and had the best nights sleep we have had for a long time. The room was spacious and spotless and the bed was so comfortable.
Breakfast was brilliant with lots of choice. We highly recommend the fresh fruit salad... lovely and Christine fulfilled our wish for boiled eggs , cooking them perfectly.

A gem of a B&B. Christine and Paul are perfect hosts. Delicious breakfast - with trout on the menu caught by Christine! Pristine room with very comfortable bed. Fluffy white towels. Beautiful grounds. Covid 19 Government guidelines followed sensitively.
An idyllic setting for a perfect relaxing break.
