We originally booked to stay a night around the date of our 35th Wedding Anniversary to give ourselves an experience we have not had before but unfortunately COVID level restrictions prevented this so instead visited last night. It was a lovely bright day and the accommodation was toasty warm. The silo was well maintained and had what you needed for an intimate cozy nights stay. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the silo upstairs was great. We would highly recommend for couples for a nights stay and we will book again in the future! Great breakfast next door at Little River Diner
We've wanted to stay here since we first saw it it built. And finally managed a 2 night stay this month! A collection of 8 silos, converted into accommodation on 2 levels (1 is 1 level for disabled access). Ground floor is a well equipped kitchen and genius loo. Flush the loo, the tap on the handbasin above starts flowing, filling the cistern as you wash your hands. Shuts off automatically once full! Upstairs is a bed and a shower/sink. The shower is clear glass which might not be to everyone's taste 😁. There is also a small balcony. Silo 8 overlooks trees and shrubs at the back of the property. In the roof, there is a glass hatch through which you can see the stars. The silo was very warm (even for a cold person like me) and cosy. We prearranged a platter for the first night, which comes with a bottle of bubbles. It was awesome and it actually lasted us both nights. There is a cafe and general store to the left and a diner to the right. Both served up great breakfasts and coffee. Well worth staying - our only question is 'what took us so long' Rob the owner was great to chat to, as well. Hopefully will head back there 😁…
Great 2 night stay in these quirky Silos. The Silo was immacutely presented and well equipped. Lovely little deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The only downside is that there is no restaurant in the immediate vicinity that serves dinner or if there is, we couldn't find one.
We only stayed here one night. If you are looking for somewhere a bit quirky to stay then this is it. Everything has been very well thought out and there is pretty much everything you could need in the room. Only thing if you could be picky was the location maybe. It would be cool if they were off the main road in a slightly secluded area but thats just me.
We stayed here 5 years ago and came back yesterday for a last minute stay. The silos are still in excellent condition and are well equipped for short stays. Comfortable bed, excellent books in the book exchange and a cafe either side. The photo is a view from the upper balcony of silo 6. The site manager, Rob, is very helpful and friendly.
