We stayed here for 5 nights in the self contained apartment wich was very spacious and really clean (wich is a big plus in my opinion). You could choose of making diner yourself or just eat with the hosts, who made a big effort of cooking a great meal. And then there was the breakfast wich was really good with lots of choises.
The hosts Rein and Gertruud were very helpful in planning your day trips and gave lots of useful information.
The B&B is a small drive from the town centre wich made it a nice and calm location.
And if you ever find yourself in luck with a clear night sky, you will see the most beautiful stars! And make sure to ask Rein about them!

We stayed in the B&B room, the bed was comfy and the room well appointed. Rein the host cooked a wonderful breakfast which included home made yogurt and fruit salad etc etc.
A quiet, peaceful location ensures a good nights sleep.

This is the perfect place if you're feeling stressed or worn out. It's totally peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. But make sure you take time and spend several days so you can stay in what amounts to a self-contained apartment, which is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Rein and Gertruud are delightful hosts and could not have been more kind and helpful. Ask them for any advice or tips and they're provide the answers. Ask Rein about his Dutch games and try the Dutch Golf - it's a hoot! The Dutch Station is in a fairly remote spot but, for us, that was its attraction. You cannot help but be chilled out and totally relaxed. It's a real stress-buster!

Yes, it's remote, well-set up, quiet and quaint in its own way.
We stayed in the apartment for two nights as a base for a one-day drive into Lake Taylor. It was ideal.
For dedicated self-caterers, cooking is a little difficult in the small space available. Also without a full stove or oven, but we managed to cope with the two ring burner.
Otherwise the apartment is very comfortable, a range of TV channels and good wi-fi connection. It's a short drive down to the Hawarden Tavern for drinks or meals.
Thank you to the kind but unobtrusive hosts.
