Right from the first email, communication was great. The 2bdrm cottage we stayed in was very clean, warm and spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms are quite and dark for a great sleep. We had a full kitchen which we cooked our dinner in. The gardens are beautiful we enjoyed walking around in the morning before heading off...

A beautiful entrance bridge guides you into the lodge, where you'll see swedish red buildings surrounded by large trees. The manger Tim went out of his way to get us settled into our room and then gave a tour of the property. We LOVED the lack of cell phone signal and the rooms were extremely spacious with everything you need....

My sister and I were driving towards Arthur's pass late at night when we stumbled across this place and luckily they had a cottage Available. At $155 a night it was a steal, as we had a full 3 bedroom house. When we woke up in the morning and saw the view we immediately booked a second night. There is...

The cabins themselves are kept very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and kitchenette were good as well. The hotel is set amongst some truly magnificent gardens and scenery. It really is positioned very well and in my opinion offers more than staying in Arthurs pass in that regard. The downside is that there is no free...

I organised a get-together for friends and family from as far away as Golden Bay, the West Coast and Mid-Canterbury, we met at Castle Hill and did the walks, took the obligatory photos and marvelled in the scenery, then headed back for lunch at Flockhill Lodge, from the time we arrived we were made feel welcome, the lunch was substantial...

We didn't have a clue what we would find when we booked this place as a stopover on our trip to Arthur's Pass. What a treat it was. Individual cottages set on what was originally a sheep shearing station. The grounds were lovely, the food very good and the bed was magnificent - definitely the most comfortable we have found...

Stayed here for one night in November during our 6 1/2 week holiday in New Zealand, wish we had stayed longer, lovely location with very good facilities, we ate in the restaurant during our stay and the food was most enjoyable. If you are in this area looking for accommodation then look no further that Flock Hill Lodge, you will...

Visited again to find that nothing has really changed in this gem of a high country station.Same high-quality standards of service, cleanliness and ambience.Enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant. The garden and grounds are still maintained to an excellent standard. This is exceptional value for money and truly relaxing in an amazing setting.

It was on dark and a huge storm was brewing. Flock Hill was a most welcome sight and even with no booking, our reception and accommodation was brilliant. There was a friendly check in that got us quickly settled and out of the raging storm. Fantastic.

We loved this place so much. We stayed in a two-bedroom cottage which has everything you might need. It is impeccably clean, very spacious, equipped, and comfortable. The setting is gorgeous--we loved the red buildings amongst the dark green trees and mountains. Very quintessential high country. The view from on top of the Knoll is breathtaking, and the proximity to...
