Nice views but that’s the only thing I could find that was nice everything else was terrible, the food was shocking and cold the rooms are like walking back into the seventies and the service well what service, the restaurant was absolutely freezing cold making the whole dining experience uncomfortable. I won’t be rushing back

Booked bed, breakfast and dinner here as a birthday treat. First impressions on arrival the reception area was clean with hand sanitiser stations, although considering the new rules on masks from this week only a handful of guests along with ourselves were wearing them, dispite signs in numerous places, we asked about booking a time for dinner, were told you have to book it yourself at the restaurant after 5pm, even though the reception staff could easily book our breakfast slot. Thought we’d go for a relaxing swim before dinner, this was anything but relaxing, the pool is booked out for children’s swimming lessons with a small part left for guests to use, with an audience of the children’s parents all looking on, made us feel like a zoo exhibit, gave up on the swim and headed for the jacuzzi, that wasn’t going to happen either as a bunch of escapee small children from the swimming lessons along with a couple of mums had taken up occupation even though there is clear signage stating no under 16s allowed, we gave up on the swim idea. Dinner was a great experience with the food cooked and presented well, the serving staff were very pleasant and attentive. We headed back to our room to relax, a room tip we would say to ask for a room that doesn’t have an adjoining door, as ours did and there is no sound proofing between those doors, as we found the female voices next door chatted loudly till the early hours of the morning, keeping us awake, then resumed their talking at around 6:30am. The room was quite dated, the bathroom especially wasn’t cleaned properly as the shower curtain and tiles were speckled with dirty water marks from a previous occupant, not great during the current climate. We had also laid out some clothes for dinner on the sofa in our room, only to find that they had picked up pet hair off the sofa, obviously not vacuumed from previous guests, we don’t have pets ourselves as I have an allergy to pet hair, this resorted in a trip to the local pharmacy to pick up antihistamines. Breakfast was a bit of a circus, no orange juice by 8:30 in the morning, the hot food had been cooked and kept warm for too long, and filter coffee, quite honestly had much better breakfast in a budget end premier inn. Gave 1 out of 5 as the evening meal was the only redeeming factor.

APPALLING ! AVOID ! Dirty rooms, poor service, defective furniture, over priced. Total lack of customer service, long waiting times. Ignored when you complain. Unable to sleep in the room. Bed rock hard.. carpets filthy. Furniture chipped and defective. No drinking water in room. Expected to drink warm water from the cold tap in the bathroom. Took over two hours to complete a meal due to poor service. DO NOT VIST THIS HOTEL.

Myself and a friend booked to stay for the night and attended Baels Ball on the 30th October 2021 the people organising did a great job even down to sound check for the event! But when the event started all power was cut off but this happened 4 times during the night and we were actually told that Leeds football team were complaining about the noise. And were told by midnight to stop the event! Though said event was booked till 1am. Absolutely disgusting and so disappointing. The golf club was nice to have a visit for a drink when we arrived after our journey. But that was about it apart from the scenery! The room its self that I stayed in was okay but not amazing considering it was a 5* only tea/coffee and kettle available in the room no water. The staff were rude the breakfast the next morning was disgusting it was like they catered for the Leeds team and we got what they didn't want. I will definitely not be recommending this place to anybody after our stay and what happened during the event! Sort it out for paying customers! Don't stay here guys it's not worth the money they charge! Also was overcharged for my room after confirming a discount rate! Definitely not worth the money guys! Massive improvement needed

Stayed here with my partner November 2021. Was a lovely hotel and the staff were very friendly upon arrival. The room was lovely and clean. The swimming facilities were also very good. The only reason I didn’t give this hotel a better rating was down to the mattress was not at all comfortable. A great nights sleep would of made this hotel get a 5 star review. :)
