Don't be put off by the 2 star rating, this place deserves to be much higher.
Good, comfortable and well equipped bedrooms with excellent beds in true boutique style.
But the highlight is the food which is quite stunning, a real joy for those who enjoy good dining with very good local wines.
We stayed two nights and the owner kindly supplied us with a local sight seeing itinerary and the advice not to have too large a lunch which we strictly adhered to, the dinner that evening was extra special!
The reason for visiting Graus was that it seemed to be a logical half way stop through the Pyrenees driving from Bilbao to Longuedoc, taking the ferry to avoid the nightmare of driving right through France. This was most successful and we shall do it again, stopping at the Bodegas will be obligatory.

A real hidden gem and a wonderful retreat.
This former Bodegas has been lovingly restored by the current owners, Reiner & Arncle who are the perfect hosts and clearly passionate about their business and home. They have future plans to create a swimming pool in the grounds and outdoor restaurant. The hotel is tucked away up a rural lane but only a short distance from the town and enjoys a commanding position overlooking the valley. There are only four letting rooms and ours, Calla was a comfortable and spacious room that has been beautiful furnished with individual flair, views over the countryside and a sumptuous shower room.
This is the perfect hotel for the gastronomic, as the food is lovingly prepared by Arncle, who is an exceptional chef and a master of his craft. The dishes use local organic produce some from the family farm. Our dinner was absolutely delicious and by far one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed, even compared to the many Michelin star restaurants we have eaten at. The wine cellar compliments the food and Reiner is happy to recommend the perfect pairing. Breakfast was of a similar high standard with an excellent selection that will certainly set you up for the day.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, we felt privileged to share your beautiful home.

The hotel is charming, rooms, surroundings... you couldn't ask for more, plus everything is very clean.

The breakfast is spectacular with organic products and abundant. It is one of the best and most complete that we have been able to try.
We dined there all 3 nights and each dish has been different and spectacular, very elaborate and with the best quality of products. They put a lot of love into what they do.

Angel and Reiner are wonderful people, always attentive to their clients and close.

I spent five nights here and enjoyed it tremendously. The room was comfortable and well supplied with amenities. Breakfast was superb, with meat, eggs, cheese, yogurt, toast, cereal, and lots of delicious fruit. The owners were attentive, helpful, and friendly, with stories about the area. The hotel also serves luscious dinners with local meats and dishes, beautifully presented. It is small, so everyone gets special attention. The owners are flexible. For instance, when I was leaving very early one morning they packed a breakfast for me the night before (and I could keep the yogurt in the refrigerator in the room over night). There are chairs and small tables outside, so one can sit out and enjoy the view. It was overall one of the most interesting and "personal" hotel experiences I have had in years of traveling.

It is not a romantic hotel, it is not an environment of rest, peace and tranquility, it is not a natural, pleasant and clean space, it is not THE PLACE where you should stay when you travel to the Pyrenees, it is MUCH MORE than that and it is thanks to its hosts, Angel and Reiner, who open the doors of their house, great house, to fete their guests in every way.
Mention apart deserve the careful and original elaborations that come from the kitchen and the heart of Angel (what a hake so rich by God) and the exquisite service of Reiner. A perfect duo that works by and for travelers thirsty and tired of body and spirit; in the Harness cellars they are more than restored.
Thank you very much for making our stay as happy as it is pleasant.
We promise to come back to see the progress of your blue house. A hug from some locals.

Delightful small hotel in the countryside with attentive service, delicious food, beautiful surroundings and an excellent staff. We were delighted with breakfast and dinner. The staff will do anything to make your visit more pleasant. Very relaxing very clean and a wonderful experience. I would definitely return.
Initially, we were staying at another hotel in Graus, but it was not anywhere near as nice as this one, and we were very happy that we moved.

There are two types of pillows to which better. The mattress is a delight. All super clean, and very nice. Exceptional care of the owners, with recommendations of visits to be made. I will definitely repeat, as many times as I can, in this magical place.

I just got back from a 5 night stay and my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. Reiner and Angel are amazing hosts. They are friendly and helpful and available to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. It's amazing that this Inn has only 2 stars. They make you feel taken care of and welcome.

The hospitality was exceptional. We traveled with a small dog and were upgraded to a larger room at no additional cost. The room was clean, the decor felt opulent and elegant. We had a four post bed in our room and two big french doors with a view of the mountains in the distance. Oh, and the shower had jets which certainly was a treat after a long day of walking. The room had plenty of pillows and blankets, air conditioning, and the bathroom was stocked with the usual shampoo and soaps, hairdryer, plenty of towels and even free toothbrush, toothpaste, and combs. There was a tv and I think they have free wifi, but our trip was to disconnect so neither were necessary.

Reiner and Angel offered us fresh local well water every day and always checked in with us after our excursions to make sure we had a good time and to ask if we needed anything. And we even had fresh watermelon and figs from his garden, which was a lovely little detail.

Speaking of food, we opted for breakfast at the Inn each morning and the spread was insane. Locally made yogurt, homemade bread that Angel makes, fruit, freshly made orange juice, quality coffee, cheese and ham or eggs if you desire. A perfect healthy breakfast to start your day exploring the surroundings.

The Inn also serves as a restaurant and we saw many non-guests dropping by for their menu. At 30e per person you are given a choice of a starter, main course, and dessert, with wine included. 30e seems like a lot but the dishes are elaborate and of quality ingredients. We ate one night during our stay and had filet mignon, shrimp, codfish soup, homemade toffee mousse and on top of everything a good quality bottle of wine from the region. I would highly recommend having dinner there.

Angel is from the area and he's an expert on the different towns and available offerings of activities given the season. After our first recommended excursion to Alquezar hit the nail on the head as to what we were looking to see and do, we consulted him almost daily and were not let down. He knows all the off the beaten path locales. He can also help book tours of wineries or water sport trips (kayak, etc).
All in all our stay was superb and the region has so much to discover and do, so we will definitely be back!

During our road trip trough Aragon and the Pyrenees we stayed 3 nights in the Bodegas de Arnes (we extended for one night because we liked it so much). It is not only a nice place to stay because of its well furnished rooms (a golden bath room!), the two owners make it so much more interesting because of their friendliness and great tips for excursions in the area (a hidden swimming paradise, Romanic towns not to be found in the usual guides and other beautiful secrets of the region). The food was great, the iberico pig for dinner excellent!

We had just one night to spend at this little hotel but it has been a highlight of our trip. Since the moment we arrived everything has been taken care off with incredible detail. From our wonderful dinner experience, just four tables for hotel guests to the coffee and yogurt in the morning that was prepared for us instead of breakfast because we had to leave early in the morning for an excursion. Hope to be back at some point.
