Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Nestled in Ubud, the Tanadewa Resort Bali by Cross Collection is a sanctuary that has earned high praise for its pristine and spacious rooms, though some guests mention noise as a minor drawback. The hotel's service is often lauded for its hospitality, with staff responsiveness highlighted despite occasional communication delays. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with the hotel's upkeep consistently commended.
While offering satisfactory value, especially with unique experiences like the Sky Suite and Balinese night, opinions on cost vary. The amenities, including an infinity pool and spa, are popular, though the gym and pool size received some critique. Above all, the tranquil atmosphere and nature-inspired setting of the hotel make for a relaxing retreat.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed over Christmas 2019. I loved the resort from the minute we arrived. I was appreciative of the local Bali treats and ginger tea they gave us upon arrival. The cold cloth was refreshing as well. We stayed in a Villa and my main reason for selecting it was for the private pool. Our room was not quite ready yet so we grabbed some lunch in their restaurant. Once our room was ready They escorted us from the lobby down to our villa via golf cart and our luggage had already been transferred to the villa. The villa pool was much cooler than the main pool though, so we didn’t use it quite as much as we thought we would. We traveled with 2 children. Ages 4 and 2. The room was large enough that it didn’t feel super crowded. It was very clean (minus a few ants in the bathroom) and the bed was very comfortable. The view from our room was greenery and distant jungle. No buildings or other people. The breakfast buffet was delicious and we had the french toast every morning. The kids loved the chocolate muffins and the fresh juices as well. Their lunch and dinner menu is delicious and offered kid friendly choices too.
I tried out the spa and selected the 3 hour “Grounding Realm” package. I went at 6pm so I could go right back and fall asleep. I LOVED it! I was in my own private villa with rain shower and soaking tub. the package included a foot soak, massage, body scrub, body mask and facial. My villa was right next to the pool so for a little while I could hear kids playing in the pool but they eventually left and all was peaceful. At the end they offered a tray of ginger tea, sweets and local fruit. The experience was relaxing and just what I needed. You could hear the frogs and even a distant thunderstorm coming!
The staff offer a shuttle Several times during the day to and from downtown Ubud. We used there service 3 times. Air conditioned vans and very comfortable. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Overall our experience was great! I would love to go back and highly recommend Tanadewa Resort.

+1
We spent 3 nights here as part of a package deal that also included 4 nights at Tanadewa Villas in Nusa Dua. The resort is lovely with lush gardens and a great view from the main pool. Our Courtyard Pool Villa was spacious and very comfortable with a large bathroom. Buffet breakfast was good and as part of our package we had 2 dinners included - the package menu is limited for choice but the dishes we did have were very tasty. We paid for dinner on the 3rd night as there is nowhere else nearby to eat, and it is a 15-20 minute drive to Ubud Centre. The downside of that is you need to take a driver/taxi to go to Ubud Centre (the resort does run a shuttle service 3 times a day), but the upside is you are well away from the traffic and chaos of the centre and it is very quiet and peaceful. Their staff are their greatest asset - everyone was so friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Shout out to Kaurnia in the restaurant who was amazing, not only did she remember our names every night but also what we'd eaten the night before and what we'd said we'd like to try the next night! If you want to be near all the restaurants/bars/shops etc of Ubud Centre this probably wouldn't suit but for a restful few days in a beautiful setting, I'd definitely go back.

We stayed in Tanadewa's Courtyard Villa, with our own private pool - overlooking the lush greeneries of Ubud. So peaceful, tranquil, and eases the mind. Really strategic location because the area is quiet but it's also not far from the center of Ubud. The room is spacious and clean as well.
We also enjoyed tanning and swimming time in their infinity main pool. Super relaxing!
Every staff is helpful, friendly, and attentive - always making sure we are happy and well served. To note that they always make sure to follow health protocols, everyone is equipped with face mask.
I want to note that their food is so tasty, treat yourself to their Bebek (fried duck), I've never really ate bebek dishes that's so well prepared like that! Their desserts were also so good! We ordered floating breakfast, and not only it's cool for photos :) we were also full to the brim by with generous portions. I can't wait to go back and definitely can recommend this place to everyone!

This resort has good views and impressive architecture but everything else about the experience was disappointing.
I experienced a lot of trouble with the booking as I had to change my travel dates. Emails seemed to get lost between two sections of the administration and when I finally got the revised booking, it was $100 more per night than the advertised price for that time period.
A couple of days before my arrival I sent them an email confirming my booking and they said all was good but we arrived they couldn’t find the booking and I had to provide proof of the booking by trawling my emails.
The so called gym is a sad little room of about 6 meters with two machines - a bike and treadmill - both out of order but with no “out of order” signs. We found out the hard way with the treadmill almost throwing my husband off through an uncontrolled rapid increase in speed,
The infinity pool is smallish and said and was unusable for us. We used it once but since it has no entry steps or rails we almost couldn’t get out of it. We had to hoist ourselves up with our hands onto the side of the pool on our stomachs and get up on all fours. Needless to say, we didn’t use it again,
The food wad very disappointing with most meals being inedible or barely edible but most unappetising. The breakfast is really average with poor quality breads and pastries and a cheap strawberry jam, The eggs were cooked to order but somehow never tasted good. There is no room service after 11 pm and the tea and coffee in room facility was just measly.
The bins in the rooms were not properly emptied. They don’t use bin liners so anything damp or sticky just sticks to the bottom and is not properly cleaned.
As my international roaming wasn’t working on my phone, I tried calling Australia on the landline but it didn’t work. I couldn’t get an outside line so I asked reception for help and the said they would look into it but I didn’t hear from them again,
The website states the hotel is 10 minutes from the town centre by their shuttle. The shuttle runs just a few times a day and it takes 45 minutes to get to the town centre, not 10.
When we couldn’t get on the shuttle because it is just a car with the capacity to take only 3 people, we asked reception to call us a cab. The cab was a local driver who looked at music videos on his screen during the entire ride,
It was overall a very unpleasant experience. I cannot recommend this place. Their management and quality control is all over the place.

Location : not far from the highway
Terrace : they provide a place to wash our hands before entering the lobby. The staff used safety things (mask, face shield and gloves) the whole day at the resort.
Room : the interior of sky suite room simple but clean. But i have to say that i'm not really like the design of the balcony
Toilet : a clean and quite big toilet. The smells of body lotion was goood
Restaurant : due to covid19, they didn't provide buffet but we need to order the menu (the menu are listed from the barcode that we scan by using our personal phone). The taste was sooo good and if i'm not mistaken theres a staff named Jarpa, i can say that he's love his work because i can see that he's so kind but polite, informative, energic, and told us really good information about the food that he served (thank you so much for made tasty coffee sir)
Pool : no doubt, the view was amazing !
Keep up the good hospitality dear tanadewa😀

Had a very pleasant stay at Tanadewa Ubud. The location was quite easy to reach and we managed to visit many Ubud restaurants and cafes by motorbike. All the staffs were super friendly and welcoming since the beginning til the end of our stay. The place was spacious and breezy, you feel close to nature but without the noise or insects or other less-pleasant stuff. The interiors were designed with Balinese vibes yet the facilities were really modern. Love the infinity pool and food very much! Should definitely consider staying here if going to Ubud.

The resort was already 5/5 but the staff really made a difference! Their attention to detail and helpfulness really goes a long way. They had a local welcome and blessing routine for new guests. My wife birthday passed recently and they celebrate her birthday during breakfast and prepared a towel cake in the room for us! Shoutout to Reyna and Hagus for the impeccable service!
Hagus gave really good recommendations to restaurants and assisted us with the retrieval of a lost item!

Really nice experience, friendly staffs.
As a solo traveler, it’s a ideal place for holiday, away from the crowded. The floating breakfast and photography service are worthy to have a try! The services are affordable if you are traveling alone and would like to get some good photos.
The location is 10-15mins by motorbike from the centre, but so far it’s easy to use the grab to get the ride.
Will come back to visit for next time.

From the check-in till the check-out, everything was perfect! The staff is very friendly and the resort is beautiful. I've been to a lot of places in Bali in the last years and this one really stands out.
We had the courtyard villa with a private pool, man what a view.. From your bed, pool or bathroom, all you see is green. The plants around the pool are big enough to give you all the privacy you need, but not too high to cover the view. The bathroom is also fantastic and we took a bath twice. The room was super clean, literally no dust or spots anywhere.
The main pool area is also stunning and has a great view. It's big enough to swim laps and good for tanning.
The food here is really amazing. I've been all around Bali, but their bebek goreng (fried duck) is the best I've had and a dish to remember. We also had a floating breakfast (for the first time ever) and it's quite a unique experience to have a breakfast floating in your own private pool.
The location is very strategic. In 10 minutes you're in the center of Ubud, which can be quite busy. The area around Tanadewa is a bit more quiet and relaxing. It's also on the South part of Ubud, so perfect if you're coming from Uluwatu / Seminyak / Sanur.
We'll definitely vitis again!
