The hotel is in a quiet location. We were there already two times as we can trust the quality and what to expect: very spacious and clean rooms, and a good parking. It's a good place for a stopover on the visit to Legoland (or Steiff Museum), or for a business trip accommodation near Ulm. A very nice restaurant with plenty of selection for the breakfast buffet - pretty untypical for that sort of non-touristic hotels.

One slight disappointment was only during our second visit. Although we were with children and asked for a quiet room, we were given a room above the main entrance. Not only was it pretty loud in the early morning when business travelers started packing and departing, but also all the smoke from the cigarettes (smoking place near the entrance) went up directly to our open window, which we had to close instead of breathing the fresh morning air. So we definitely recommend to the family visitors to ask for a room further to the sides - and for the hotel management to consider this nuance, too. By the way, the rooms further to the sides, those with the nice balconies, are super great!

I go to Giengen several times a year and always enjoy my stay at the Lobinger. The staff is friendly, warm, generous and have a great sense of humor. Axel and Nadine look out for my every need. if you arrive by train they pick you up. If you wish to get downtown to the Steiff Museum they provide transport. The dining room is comfortable and the food delicious, if you wish to eat and work at the same time laptops are welcome! The rooms afford relaxation and workspace, on the 4th floor they come with private balconies. There are many of us who are "regulars",who return year after year. One doesn't feel a culture gap as guests are treated like friends.

Stayed here for a 2 night break over Easter to visit the Steiff Bear Museum and it was a great hotel. The rooms look like they are all being renovated and we were lucky to stay in one already done which was very nice like a little suite. Rooms very clean, breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful, would stay here again without a doubt.

Comfortable room, clean, with two armchairs, quite hard mattresses, a terrible pillow (very soft). Nice hygienic and clean bathroom with well-closing shower door. Free bicycles available, even with a helmet and a map of the village on request.

Ideally located very close to the autobahn with lots of parking. We booked a family room which was a very good size and included a balcony. Beds were comfortable and large and room well appointed with everything we needed including excellent free wifi. We arrived after a long journey and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly with the check in processed without any issues at all. The atmosphere throughout was of a family hotel.

We didn't eat but the restaurant looked good with a wide range of meals at a reasonable price. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range buffet.

Overall would recomend.

We stayed in Giengen only one night as we visited the Steiff Museum, which is great! As soon as we walked into the lobby of the Lobinger with it's cosy but modern decor, we felt very welcome. The staff were all attentive and helpful, offering info on everything from the menu to the laundry service without any prompting which is very nice indeed. Our daughters especially loved the huge teddy bear and life-sized buffalo in the lobby, both by Steiff, who watch all the goings-on! The huge Family room we stayed in was very comfortable with great beds, feather pillows and duvets and it was nicely decorated. Although our room overlooked the carpark, the hotel is quiet and private on a small road and surrounded by trees and gardens.
Dinner was brilliant, offering delicious meals with many traditional dishes on the menu. Again, the staff were great! Breakfast offered an expansive buffet of more lovely choices. If ever in Giengen or nearby again, we would only stay at the Lobinger Parkhotel!

I am staying here regularly on business trips and in this hotel has really improved since the rooms have been renovated and now follow a modern standard. For a placenta stay on business trips very convenient, very helpful and proactive service, very good breakfast and close to everything in the city if somebody wants to visit the Steiff museum or buy some teddybears.

Unfortunately we made a mistake with our booking, booking for two rather than including my daughter this is because we normally have a room with a sofa bed. Clearly some people do this purposely as the lady at reception asked where will she sleep in your bed, what will she eat etc (our daughter never eats breakfast out due to severe allergies and nuts and allergens being everywhere) instead of appreciating we had made a mistake she seemed to think we were cheapskates and just looking to lower the price of our stay. We would not be able to sleep 3 in one bed, but she kept saying this, and then said "it was our fault ". Her English was better than my German but I felt either she has people regularly all trying to get in one room and assumed we were the same, or does not like English people. Her behaviour for front of house was not welcoming or friendly. Later my husband was trying to see if you sold Malibu, he said he was looking and she promptly laughed.
The room was boiling hot with one fan.
The bed was comfortable and coffee machine and TV good. Rooms was very clean.
Breakfast was not great.
Lady serving drinks was friendly.
Good location for the Steiff museum.
Good location for a supermarket.
Nice addition having steiff toys and figures in reception.
