We stayed here the first week flights recommenced from the UK. Before we even arrived it was clear how lovely and understanding the staff when emailing and they put us at ease immediately given the COVID uncertainty. When we arrived reception was shut because it is only currently open until 6pm due to COVID but all check in details were emailed to us prior to arriving and we were able to check in easily using a door code.

The hotel itself is a 2 minute walk from the sea and next to a lovely beach bar that sells good food and drinks with chilled music. The pool area was our favourite, very modern and extremely peaceful, the hotel is in a very quiet area perfect for sunbathing and sleeping! No music blaring out at the pool like you find in some places, plenty of sun loungers and all day sun.
Unfortunately due to COVID the pool bar was closed but we loved the pool area regardless.

The rooms were large, clean and light and we enjoyed having a fridge as we normally stay in hotels so that was a treat. There is a large supermarket 2 mins up the road to stock up on snacks and drinks. The only down side is the location in regards to the old port. It does take a good 30-40 minutes to walk to the old port via the coast and some bits can be sandy. We enjoyed the walks sometimes but they did get a bit tedious and we started to get a taxi instead. We got a business card from one man and used him each time so it worked out well. Taxi was about 7 euros into the centre and about a 5-10 min journey.

Overall the staff are lovely, very friendly friendly, it is in a very quiet, peaceful location and the pool area was very relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind being a bit further out the centre for a bit of peace!

The wife and myself have just sent 5 lovely days in Chania, Crete staying at the lovely little Seaview Apartments. At the moment with Covid-19 things are being done a little differently but it didn't change our experience we had here. The staff are so thoughtful and full of helpful advice on places to eat and visit. The bedroom we stayed in was a good size with a very comfortable bed, nice little shower room with toilet and sink and it also had a kitchen area which was fully equipped. The pool area was lovely but the bar wasn't open due to Covid-19. It is a good walk into Chania but you can get a bus straight there from the main road which is on a few minute walk from the hotel. We did walk a couple of times that took about half an hour but if you walk along the beach it is a beautiful walk. Looking forward to getting back to Crete very soon.

This hotel is truly surprising and exceeds all of our expectations, a 2* rating but should be so more. We arrived late afternoon, and I totally forgot reception closes at 6pm but we just narrowly made it. Fontini, who is well known for her outstanding hospitality lived up to her high reputation, welcomed us and checked us in and allowed us to get to our room very quickly. From the outside, the hotel is unassuming but surrounded with some nice gardens and very close to the sea. Lift available which was a huge relief as we had some very heavy luggage. We had room 303, overlooking the gardens, the Domes Hotel and the sea which was quite beautiful. Great sized room, small kitchenette with everything you could ever need, a little clothes dryer on the balcony and a table and chairs outside and a set inside. The bed was not huge, but good quality linen and lovely pillows. Just about enough wardrobe space and a safe included. The bathroom is very bijou, definitely only suitable for one person to use to get ready at a time but shower was very powerful and lovely Korres products.

The breakfast was just a dream, unlimited freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly cooked pies, Italian cut meats, yogurts, dried fruits, sweet cakes, feta, cheeses, hams the list goes on and everything is kept stocked up and is exceptionally fresh. You can take your breakfast to eat in your room or by the pool as well which was very flexible. The pool area is the jewel in the crown of the hotel, a real haven amongst the very hot and dusty region of Kato Daratso! Plenty of sun loungers, somewhere to shower, lovely pool a just the right temperature and an beautiful place to sit whilst you have some of the delicious items of the menu. The food we chose, was big and plentiful and made to a very good standard, which is quite a big statement to say as Chanià is inundated with fabulous places to eat. Cocktails were also good and we even had a bottle of complimentary wine and bottle of water for the room! Lots of beaches to walk to nearby, we enjoyed feeding the local horse in his (albeit concrete) paddock apples we bought from the nearby supermarket. Only a short hop in to Chanià town centre by car or bus….walking was a bit too far for us.

The hotel / apartment was not as expected, left feeling very confused about the previous good reviews.

The location is not great, off a dirt track which feels very unsafe at night, no lighting or pavements.

There is a beach 5 minutes down the road which is awful, graffiti & rubbish everywhere. Not a touristy beach at all.

The walk to Chania centre is around 30-40 minutes.

The pool area is the best part, however, not sure how often it is cleaned as the same were dead bugs at the bottom of the pool everyday. Ants everywhere.

Reception & the bar close at 6PM so nobody around for assistance or taxis etc, nowhere to get a drink or food from after this time.

The rooms are basic, couldn't cook a meal with the facilities provided.

The bathrooms are very dark & the shower is difficult to get in & out off as the door doesn't slide open very widely.

The breakfast is ok, but very repetitive.

Overall, wouldn't recommend, much nicer options in the area, didn't feel like a holiday hotel / apartment, but more like a basic city hostel.

We stayed here for 8 days after travelling from another area in Crete. The hotel is of a great standard and has a really wonderful pool area which is very relaxing.
Fontini on reception is lovely and will provide any recommendations you may need.
The walk to the Venetian Harbour is about 45 minutes, we went along the main road initially which was a mistake, far to busy road and not a pleasant outlook.
You can take the bus or walk along the sea front (path infront of the new Domes hotel).
One recommendation for a really good restraunt.. The Five. About 20 minutes walk. Very good and worth a visit.
Also .. we visited the Botanical Gardens; this is about 25 minutes drive and costs 6 euro entry. Beautful couple of hours walking around and an excellent restaurant at the end which uses all produce from the gardens.

All of the staff were AMAZING, the hotel was clean, and the sea was totally in view (as the name says!) from our room. Not far from Chania centre (about a 30 minute walk) and close to all the nice beaches. Plenty of little shops around. Fontini at the front desk was great and really helpful, and said hello every morning. Breakfast was always tasty, with a rotating range of cold cuts and cheeses, hot eggs and sausages, as well as cereals and savoury foods. Fresh orange juice was always available too. The pool is great for a little dip, and the pool area was great just to relax!
Highly recommend!!

This was our second year staying at Sea View and we’ll return for definite! Mr Bitsakis and his wonderful team ensure you’ll have an amazing holiday. With modern facilities, quiet location and spotlessly clean Sea View is just a 5 minute walk to a lovely beach, 10,15,20 minutes walk to various other lovely beaches and a 30 minute walk into Chania Old Town. There are 2 supermarkets just a short walk away as well as restaurants and coffee shops. There is also a bus stop just a 5 minute walk away. Sea View offers a delicious buffet breakfast and they have a swimming pool. Housekeeping is exemplary with regular fresh towels and bedding. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Fotini the amazing receptionist - she’s a wealth of information and always so happy. We really can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Stayed here for 6 days and was so happy with our time at Sea View. We had an ocean view room and the balcony view was spectacular.
The pool area was always clean and well kept and it was a lovely place to sit and relax. The hotel is about a 20 min walk to the town, however if you walk to the front it’s a nice stroll along the sea front.

Fontini, the receptionist was so friendly and nothing was ever too much to ask from her! She went above and beyond and really made our stay!
Also Eliana who worked the breakfast shift was so accommodating always making sure we received the best service and had everything we needed! The lady who cooked the breakfasts (so sorry forgot how to spell name) was lovely also making fresh food every morning with great variety.

Overall absolutely loved our stay here and if we ever return to Chania we will be staying at Sea View

Breakfast was decent for europeans , little restricted for Irishman

Pool was perfect clean and great spot for couples, but sadly not for families. But they try hard and have lots of kool stuff for kids at reasonable prices at local shop.

Pool side food was poor we ordered twice but both times lacked proper quality and complained to staff.

Hotel had nice taxi service so dont let it put you off. Pool side staff and reception are class.

Had a few troubles with apartment but fixed very quickly.

Thank you for a lovely experience, couples enjoy, families not ideal as restaurants are too far away

This really is a fantastic place to stay. Wonderful perfectly clean apartments with a great view, lovely food, amazing pool and a short walk from the beach and from Chania. By far the most outstanding aspect of this place is the staff. Fortina at the helm was born for hospitality, she is truly amazing and ensures your holiday is the best experience. Tamara behind the bar by the pool is so lovely and attentive, it is great not having to leave the pool area to eat and drink, you can just relax all day. I can not recommend this hotel enough, it really was the best experience. Thank you to all of the staff who made our week in Chania so special.
