These new Houseboats (we also have a private italo filipino houseboat restaurant) are the first in their kind in Philippines and they are located in pristine lagoons in the limestone island of Coron: Ancestral Domain of the Tagbanua Tribe, National Park, Marine Reserve and Unesco site (Coron Island is different from Coron town that is located in another island named Busuanga). You can choose one entire private houseboat for yourself with big indoor and outdoor private areas (the Glass Houseboat, the favorite from couple in honey moon and small families, or the Paolyn Houseboat Original and the Superglass Houseboat that can host 15/16 guests) or you can choose just one room (for one couple or a small family). Each room has now its own private internal bathroom with shower, private dining area, private outdoor relaxing area (with private sun-beds and sun-umbrella) with private ladder to enter the sea. We will pick you up at the Coron/Busuanga airport (or in Coron Town) and bring you to our Houseboats (from the airport 30 minutes Van plus 15 minutes speedboat). Transfers are complimentary. No pollution, no traffic, no noise. Amazing scenery with breathless landscape with steep cliffs and Karst rock formations made of Permian Limestone of Jurassic origin, it offers superb snorkeling and it is totally quite except birds chirping and splashes of fish. Clean and clear water. It is the only place where to sleep and eat in all Coron Island. Free use of Kayaks, Standup Paddleboards and snorkeling gears. Unlimited drinking water and free WIFI. Totally Eco compatible, they do not discharge any waste in the sea and they are totally off the grid with 24h electricity and fresh water. Each room has multiple tower fans and some rooms have also the air conditioning (optional with a surcharge). We have 202 employees with 16 rooms and most of them are members of the Tagbanua Tribe that did not study and never worked before. This crazy project is almost the only income the tribe families of Coron Island have at the moment!

Nestled in a secluded paradise, Paolyn Houseboats Coron Island captivates guests with its attentive service and eco-conscious approach to hospitality. The natural pool and shower facilities are consistently lauded for their cleanliness. While the rooms are praised for their eco-friendly design and breathtaking views, some guests find them rather basic. The hotel's location offers a stunning backdrop for an array of water activities, adding to the value that many find fair for both accommodation and tours, despite minor room safety concerns.

This place is so good, when we booked last year there was tons of availability, now there is barely any so I'd book asap not to miss out on this piece of paradise.

We had a mix up with our transport from the airport as we were already coming from a resort in CORON. We were moved to a private taxi in error which was going to cost 1000 PHP. This was no bother however as the staff showed up later that day to apologise, remove the charge and offered 2 free drinks, amazing service. We really appreciated that.

The check-in experience was brilliant, when we arrived had multiple staff showing us the ropes, explained everything so well. Also had a free welcome drink. All staff are a credit to this resort.

We stayed in the cheapest of the rooms which was a small houseboat, divided into 4 on one large boat. We didn't find that neighbours impacted our stay and we felt like we had our privacy, it was perfect. Although this is not the cheapest place, it is worth every penny. You won't get this in many places in the world. Paolo and his wife have done an incredible job here. Everything is so well run. It is echo friendly, waste is collected in boats and taken away from the island, we had plenty of hot water and a good running shower. Unlimited electric 24/7 on a boat in the middle of nowhere is so impressive.

The food was priced very fairly, no extra charge to have it delivered to your houseboat and we had nearly every meal there. The food variety could probably have been improved slightly but for a 3 day stay like we had, it was enough. You were provided with a phone pre loaded with Whatsapp groups to restaurant for meal orders and another for reception requests. All requests were answered in seconds, this place is so well co ordinated. Thank you guys for the many Baileys shake cocktails we ordered!

You are provided with a kayak to explore the nearby lagoons and they are stunning, highly recommend going before the tours arrive at 10am. You get the whole place to yourself. We also hired a private tour with Jeffery. This was such good value compared to any other tour company, we did the coron island full day tour. I flew my drone into the sea and he dived in with no hesitation to get it for me, top service and many thanks to him.

Thank you for a lovely stay, I hope to come back some day.

3 night stay. Excellent transfer arrangements and prior communication. Check In and waiting time before transfer to the glass houseboat was passed with an excellent lunch. Houseboat is basic, clean and has the necessary amenities. AC is available for a fee. Drinking water is provided for free. Since there is no freshwater source in this area, each houseboat has a freshwater and also sewage tank to protect the environment. Responsible use of resources is appreciated. Kayaks, SUP, snorkeling gear is provided foc. Meals are chargeable at very reasonable prices. Pre order is necessary to avoid disappointment and to support logistics for the restaurant. The chefs are very skilled and we enjoyed excellent meals at the restaurant. Enjoyed access to twin lagoon before the arrival of tourist boats. It’s a 10 min kayak trip away. Did a half day tour to fresh water lakes including snorkeling at 2 reefs. Everything is priced reasonably, a massage at your houseboat cost php 900. Apart from some small communication hiccups with the staff, a very enjoyable stay. Bring the absolute minimum in baggage, this is a trip back to nature and simple living in a beautiful environment.

Paolyn Houseboats is located on Coron Island, being the only establishment available for overnight stays on the island. The experience of waking up in the Coron lagoons is unique and represents a unique opportunity to enjoy an unparalleled environment.

The facilities have an undoubted local touch that is very attractive to the eye and respectful of the environment. The staff is very nice and the restaurant menu is very varied, rich in local products.

Without a doubt a once in a lifetime experience.

Wow! What a beautiful, special, amazing, idyllic hideaway! We heard about it on Facebook, but you never know what to expect…. It was beyond our expectations!

From the transfer from the airport, both car and then boat ( and back to airport. ) The staff and service was impeccable! The driver, boat staff, restaurant and our houseboat staff etc…

The food was lovely… although my only criticism would be that it needs to be hot.. out food although delicious, was lukewarm. You need to preorder most of your meals.. as they go to the market in the morning … so you know it’s all fresh… as for the cocktails..Yum!

We did a morning half day tour… highly recommend it… we had Jeffery, who was great! We enjoyed it so much… we decided last minute to add a quick 2 hour tour just doing snorkelling spots the morning we left, and they fitted us in and it was amazing!

Only negative issue was 15 minutes before we were being picked up to leave… I realised that both my very expensive watch and some money was missing. I have not taken a star off for this, as we had the best time and the staff were amazing….. however… if you are planning on coming, Do Not bring anything valuable! Although there is a safe… it is tiny, and not attached to the wall or cupboard… therefore we felt uncomfortable putting anything of value in it, as we felt anyone could pick it up and just take the safe with them. All the doors are kept open, and unlocked…
It felt so safe, but in hindsight, we should have kept all our valuables with us…there were some very drunk younger, rowdy guests that were there when we and the other rooms went out on tours… with all our doors open!

Besides this disappointing end to our amazing time… I would highly recommend this special Gem !!!

Magical place and lovely people

If you are thinking about booking, don’t hesitate just book it. This is a once in a lifetime authentic experience and it was the most incredible place, we didn’t want to leave and wish we had stayed longer.

We stayed for 3 nights in the double room (the cheapest available) and it was worth every penny.

Accommodation:
The level of cleanliness was very very excellent, there was no bugs or spider webs or anything considering everything is made from wood and bamboo.
The bed, sheets, pillows were all very comfortable, and the room was a very good size. They give you everything you need inc shower gel and shampoo.
It is a very eco friendly place, Paolyn works hard to bring fresh water to the houseboat from another island every day. Your waste also doesn’t go in the sea.

Food:
We are vegetarian but we eat eggs, so it was fine for us, we asked them to make us veg fried rice without meat or fish and they were more than happy to. There was another couple here who did not eat meat, fish, egg, onion & garlic. Even they were well catered for and looked after.
You must order your food the day before, as this makes the process much easier, they buy their ingredients from town in the morning.

Tour:
We did the full day tour which i highly recommend, because its a private tour, its at a much more relaxing pace and you get to see everything on your own, no other tourists crowding the place, its amazing!! It is tiring but you get a very long 3 hour break in the middle where you come back to your room and chill out.
The only thing to remember is that the tour will cost much more than you think. It says 2500 per person, but you need to remember to include the fuel charge, plus the entrance fees to each place you visit. For the full day tour, it was basically 300 peso’s per place (we visited about 10 places) so it easily adds up.
However when you look at the private tour costs from town, its the same price, so you aren’t paying more.

Staff:
Majority of the staff are from the local tribe, they are absolutely wonderful and will tell you all about their beautiful land if you ask. All the money you pay goes back to helping their community, and giving them work. They are really hard working and there is so many staff to maintain all the houseboats, so you can appreciate how difficult it is to keep it running.

Safety:
We left our room open and valuables in the room the whole time, even when we were out for the full day tour. It is very safe there and the staff are very respectful. There is also security patrols 24 hours.

I cannot wait to visit again in a few years when we come back, i would highly recommend this place, its worth every penny.

Im born and raised in busuanga and i could say, One of the best Accomodation I have visited till now. My friend and i stayed for 1 night and the feeling of a piece of paradise that i didn’t want to leave, and everyone working at Paolyn was great very hospitable and the food was brilliant + reasonably priced. We had the chance to meet paolo and joined us for dinner,
The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room has a very nice view, when you woke up in the morning you felt like you saw a glimpes of paradise in heaven birds, fish, the wind.

The overall service was excellent. From the room we could view the torquise sea and feel the cool breeze. The location of our room was absolutely perfect.
They are activities in the area that you can Kayak you can used to go in different lagoon, and very near to twin peaks

It's a private House boat, very clean and clear water, a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relief to Kayak in such a quiet and peaceful environment.

A must visit if you are travelling to coron. Higly Recommmended 💕 the experience it self staying in this accomodation is a definitely a bucket list.

We spent 2 nights in the half glass limestone , the most extraordinary room we made to date. Comfortable room , very clean , on a private lagoon , with natural pool! Warm welcome , perfect service , communication via WhatsApp internal to the room very easy. Idyllic place, quiet , surrounded by a splendid nature (rock, corals nearby ), kayak made available to enjoy without tourists several must-see places (lakes and lagoons) . Food from the Italian restaurant very good and very generous portions. To do away 1 time in his life. I recommend 10000%.
For the down payment their site is obviously reliable , you can control it through the same ad on Airbnb .

My 3 friends and i rented the entire glass houseboat. (Both halves)

The process to get there involved flying into USU- Busuanga Coron Airport. A courtesy van supplied by the resort picked us up at the airport along with several other guests for about a 30 min drive to the port on the other side of the island. Then onto a motor boat for a 30 min ride to the restaurant/check in desk. After that, we switched to 2 other smaller boats that took us and our luggage to the house boat

It is an absolutely gorgeous setting. You can snorkel, swim, kayak, right off the houseboat.

The bedroom has glass doors that open wide to the lagoon and the lounging deck. We never closed those for two reasons. The views and to keep air circulating.

Each half had its own bathroom, 1 bed, safe, small storage area. There were 2 fans on each side. It wasn't hot, but they were definitely needed at night. AC is available for a fee. The fans were more than adequate.

Because two of our party were not sharing a bed, we had the staff bring a mattress out and place it on the floor. There was just enough for passage, it worked fine and thank you to the staff for accommodating the need.

The toilet is a marine toilet (re: you run water after, then manually pump it to flush). As is common throughout the Philippines and Asia, what you wipe with goes in a bin on the side.

Our only issue was with the shower. The hot supply is solar heated. we could never find a tolerable medium for hot. It was always scalding. So we just left it on cold aka room temperature. the mixer valve didn't seem to work or maybe we just weren't turning it right

We had most of our meals brought to the houseboat and ate in one of the two gazebos. You ordered food and drink by walkie talkie, or whatsapp on the house cell phone. All meals had to be ordered the day before. There were some communication issues and orders incorrect, but we rolled with the flow

All that said about the reality of staying on a boat (its not a hotel room with creature comfort)

The scenery is stunning. The snorkeling spectacular ( the secret coral gardens were beyond beautiful), the food was delicious, the staff were exceptionally friendly, and you wake up with a beautiful lagoon visible at your feet. It's definitely worth the trek and cost.

Seamless transfer

Food was great & would recommend having it at your houseboat daily! Arrives by boat and still hot! Even cocktails! They then come and collect it all after
Kayaks & paddle boards much appreciated , even the reef in our lagoon was really good , monkeys every morning, thank you.
Showers great indoor & outdoor
Bed could use replacing/ upgarding and mosquito nets a little longer.
Information all very thorough
Check in process should be done separately (per houseboat)as it took a long time to organise people tours/meals etc and time was wasted
Communication was great & simple through the iPad provided - very clever.
Internet is amazing .
Cheese omelette & club sandwich is fabulous - still thinking about club sandwich
Website looks a lil dodgy ,could be upgraded as it’s not very user friendly and does not match the experience.
Glad they hire staff from the tribe on Coron Island , even if everything is sometimes a lil miscommunicated , great experience
Tour was great ,love that it’s private so you get to pick the timing & location & love that lunch is at your houseboat not on the tour boat/ on a beach. Our captain was very sweet and always early.

I booked the Small Double Enlarged Room, it was just enough space for me. They really do go the extra mile here, from the airport transfer to the food delivery to your houseboat if you want to eat at your place.

And so many thoughtful touches! Bug spray, fans in the eating area, mini fridge with water, mosquito netting, and a phone to text anything you need to the restaurant.

Free use of kayaks and paddleboards, snorkel gear. You can kayak to Twin Lagoon yourself and beat the crowds.

They are always greeting you at the restaurant with a smile, towel, and cold water.

Their private tours are definitely recommended and super affordable. The food and drink in the restaurant are similarly affordable.

The only thing to note is that in October, it's hot and humid here. Be prepared to melt, and then just jump in the amazing water to cool off.

I am struggling to find any link that leads you to booking or a website here. I could not even suggest it when I tried to ask for a better listing. I would love to be able to figure out how to contact or even look at prices and availability.

I’ve been there twice and both times have opted for the glass house boat. I’ve used both the new and original glass houseboats and both are fantastic. They have a glass enclosure/folding glass doors which you can opt to keep open to let the sea air in or you can close the doors. You can request for the staff to place a mosquito net over your bed if your wife is a mosquito magnet. Last November we kept the doors open and enjoyed the sea air with no worries about any insects, the second visit In July we had to close the doors partially because a few insects were coming in due to the wetter season. No issues with mosquitos whatsoever both times. Bedding is standard as to what you’ll find in hotels in the area. Very comfortable, crisp and clean. Food is a mix of scrumptious home style Italian and local Filipino cuisine.
