Clean Japanese architecture overlooks breathtaking Balinese rice terraces in a tranquil spiritual oasis. This place is a gem hidden amongst the peaceful beauty of nature. An absolute must stay in any trip to the beautiful island of Bali. Food is great homestyle delicious cooking from the heart. Don't miss the rice terrace walk to the holly bath at the base of the valley an experience that will never be forgotten.

If u want a getaway from the busy cities, this is the place for u. Stayed there for 3 days 2 nights. It’s super far (took us close to 2hrs ride from the airport) and super quiet that you can hear the sound of the different insects. There are mosquitos, big ones, everywhere. The staff are very friendly and they make u feel at home. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all in the resort (of cos u have to pay except for breakfast). We also took their massage package and it was good one after a long and tiring hike to the mountain.

Dear Rachiie39 thank you for your positive review with all the respect but i would like to deny the presence of big mosquitoes every where, due to the altitude on the sea level temperature here is quite fresh and mosquitoes prefer warmer temperature like down town we rarely see mosquitoes here Best Regards Sebastiano

I had the pleasure to be invited by a friend to spend the day in this magical place, and what a surprise! On my arrival I was greeted by the owner of the hotel who is Italian and speaks also fluent Spanish, immediately we clicked and he explained that this gorgeous place was created from his passion with the Japanese culture. After this conversation I went to the Restaurant area where all the unbelievable views to the rice fields opens up, and then you feel such an overwhelm feeling for so much beauty that you just want to stay in silence and contemplate this landscape for hours. The Rooms Have a great proportion, and they are the perfect balance between simplicity and warmth to enjoy the view to the rice fields, the size of the balconies are super generous, you will feel like writing a book here even if you never thought of writing. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a peaceful experience surrounded by the lush of Ubud area. Couldn't be happier to have discovered such a special place.

If you’re in need of a restful and reflective retreat, Suarapura is a beautiful eco-sanctuary right in the heart of the rice paddy fields, near the village of Sebatu/famous Tegallalang rice terraces. You would feel totally taken care of and attended to, with the warm hospitality of the friendly local staff and owners Sebastian and Kristen. The spacious rooms are Japanese inspired, eco friendly and I had the most luxurious rest and morning wakes over a three nights stay. The restaurant serves a good variety of affordable options and overlooks the lush paddy fields with the option for a beautiful floating breakfast at the infinity pool~ every evening I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing at my suite’s balcony, listening to sounds of nature, and ending off the evening with the view of the dusky misty rice terraces. The massages were spot on and there is also a beautiful room for your own yoga/meditation timeout. The resort is not too far from central ubud and affordable transport can be easily arranged for you - but the resort itself is a self contained oasis and I left wanting more.

Our stay at Suarapura was wonderful - from the moment we arrived we were welcomed by very friendly and professional staff and were blown away by the beauty of the resort. I can't imagine a better view possible from your own bed and veranda!! The resort is quite far from Ubud (about 30 mins by car) but staff easily arranged transport for us without advanced notice required. I would recommend hiring a scooter to get around more freely as there is lots to explore in the area but too hot and far to do so on foot. Staff were fantastic at recommending things to see and do in the area if you aren't sure. A gorgeous and refreshing pool with a great view that you can stare at for hours. The guided tour of the rice fields below the resort by Yoga was a special experience. The restaurant has a good range and quality of food available so you don't have to leave in search of food if you're lazy and not feeling adventurous. Thank you to Yoga, Ketut, Suar and Sebastiano for making our stay an unforgettable one. :)
