A view of Mt Ruapehu is possible. Outdoor areas include a beautiful inner courtyard, a back deck with vista-wide views. In-house Artist Barbara (some from Rob) featuring original paintings of New Zealand landscape, birds and various overseas scenery. Just 2 mins drive down to our village of Havelock North or 12 mins stroll to restaurants and shops. 20 mins to beaches, 20 mins to an amazing array of wineries. We're a stopping point for the Hawkes Bay bike trail and we have 2 mountain bikes for free hire. We are a food and wine destination with many other attractions such as Art Deco city of Napier and the famed Cape Kidnappers Gannet Colony.

This is a great little b&b. About 10 mins walk from the town centre it has fantastic views overlooking the surrounding countryside. Barb & Rob are fantastic hosts, extremely friendly and informative on the local attractions, especially the wineries.
Barbs breakfasts are delicious and they will also do an evening meal.
Very comfortable rooms. This is the best of both worlds, a friendly little b&b where the hosts make you feel like part of the family with your own space when you want it. Very highly recommend.

We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking for two nights. The property first of all, meticulously kept with beautiful common rooms. Our room was small (it was very last minute) but immaculate with everything we needed. Free loaner bicycles and helmets were available for our use. Great high speed internet as well.

We were greeted by our gracious host with a bottle of wine and some cookies. Continental breakfast was enjoyed outside in perfect weather with a view that rivaled Tuscany.

The amazing garden was a bonus. The location was within walking distance to the extremely charming village of Havelock North.

We spent a very relaxing 5 days at The Loft B and B in Havelock North. The room was beautiful with a big bathroom with a spa with views. Our hosts were charming and helpful and we appreciated the little extras, chocolates on our pillow, homemade treats for afternoon tea.
Havelock village is pretty with a good choice of shops and restaurants.
There is plenty to do in the Hawke's Bay Area ; Wineries, cheese making and galleries and, of course, wonderful scenery. Don't miss the Birdwoods gallery and cafe and the tractor tour to the gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at this upscale B&B in Havelock North. The current owners are artists and their sense of style and color made this a wonderful visit. Beautiful wood doors and artwork were throughout. We had the Tui room and were fortunate to be able to have the entire wing to ourselves since it was a fringe season. There is just one other guest accommodation available here.

The owners were a big help with making suggestions to explore the area. We also requested to join them for cocktails and dinner one night. It was well worth it and exceeded expectations. This was a totally self contained unit. A delicious continental breakfast was served each morning.

This is a pristine and charming area, perfect for a daily walk.

All in all, amazing time.

We really enjoyed our few days at Iris and John's lovely home. They were very friendly, welcoming hosts, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, our bedroom and bathroom were lovely and the garden and views were fabulous. John and Iris gave us lots of good advice on things to do in the area and we thoroughly recommend their B & B.

The hosts were incredibly hospitable and very knowledgable about the area. Their lovely home with its delightful garden made this bed and breakfast stay unforgettable. The delicious breakfast was served in the garden. A real treat!
We stayed in the smaller of the two rooms, which may prove a little tight for some, but it is lovingly decorated and the ensuite bathroom is a beauty. Guests have access to a computer room and the garden. The size of the room would never deter me from recommending this bed and breakfast, nor from staying here again.

This was an awesome place to stay, Rob & Barbara who own this are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was fantastic with it's own great bathroom. They have a lounge to relax in for quests and also welcome you into their part of the house to relax and look at the views. We were there for a family celebration so didn't get a chance to 'hang out' with Rob and Barbara, but enjoyed our stay and certainly recommend to others.

What a fabulous B and B to arrive at after a day's cycling in the wind and rain. We were made to feel very welcome by Barbara and Rob plus the animals. Our bikes were safely stowed in the garage and we were shown around the house. Beautiful surroundings and splendid views. Our room and ensuite had views over the the township and had everything we needed. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Was great having a guest lounge with hot and cold drinks available. Wonderful breakfast in the morning.

Terrific B&B located above Havelock North. Barbara and Rob are gracious and welcoming hosts, making us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. The house is beautiful with well appointed rooms and en suites. The garden is lovely and the paintings by Barbara and Rob throughout the house are a real treat! You can relax in your room or in the cozy lounge set aside for guests with treats for afternoon tea!
Breakfasts were lovely, with lots of fresh fruit and local products.
Havelock North is readily accessible and a nice 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive away.
