Detailed Reviews
Hotel staff who checked me into my room were delightful people with a great attitudes and attention to detail. I stayed in a terrace king room and it was top notch. The extra few dollars were definitely spending on this room. The pool is smaller then most but it does the trick, the hot tub my girlfriend and I made use of on both days and it was awesome. Room service was delivered very quickly and the food was too die for, relatively cheap based on the quality and the server went about and beyond to accommodate us. Will be back next year for sure and highly recommend.

Spent four days at the Holman Grand with my mother! Lovely, clean and fantastic service! Big thanks to Luke at Front Desk who very kindly accommodated an early check-in and provided us a room with a great view (ask for highest floor possible).
The hotel is central (about a 7 minute walk to practically everything) and has a gorgeous view of the water! There was no buffet style breakfast per se, so we ate a-la-carte at various places (including the restaurant linked to the lobby), which was fine given its central location. There is a full mall connected to the hotel, but we didn't really explore it! There is an extremely small window that opens for fresh air, but it may be too tiny for anyone who requires opening windows fully. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely consider returning here! Great job, Hollman!

Dear Q9750Rlaj, Thank you for such a thorough review - hearing such a wide range of positives about your stay is great to hear! I'm glad that we were able to accommodate an early check-in and that you and your mother enjoyed a great view. I also am glad that you pointed out and enjoyed your opening window - we are very pleased to offer the option of an opening window as not all hotels provide the option of fresh air! It sounds as if you were able to explore lots given our downtown location and be sure to check out the gems in our attached mall, The Confederation Court Mall, on the occasion of your next visit to Charlottetown. Thank you again for your review. Be well and be safe.

This is a gorgeous property at the heart of historic downtown Charlottetown. The room was incredibly clean, well appointed and thoughtfully designed.
The front desk hospitality from each and every individual I encountered during my 3 night stay was second to none. I was always greeted with a smile and made to feel like I was in a home away from home.
Not only are dogs allowed but they are greeted to a welcome package with water and treats always available at the front desk. At the time of my stay there was no charge for pets which made it easy for me to chose the Holman Grand over any other properties.
I was able to grab a last minute seat at the Trailside Music Hall for an amazing performance from local talent. This is an ingenious partnership between Trailside and the hotel. The on-site shows are a must-do this summer!

First off, great location and valet parking is convenient. We had a corner room with a great view and was overall clean. The shower stall is odd- no door which means the floor gets quite wet & the bath mat then becomes useless especially after 4 people. And why do rooms that can hold 4 people (and booked for 4) only have 3 towels on arrival. Our bed was "ok", I slept in a hole for 3 nights. As others have said, not enough plugs for device charging or in odd spots. Our room got tidied daily but complimentary toiletries (shampoo, body lotion/wash) were never replenished which is odd for the price per night and a hotel at this level. Some front desk staff didn't seem happy to be there as well, no greeting or smile when you enter the lobby. After 2 yrs of Covid you'd think they would be happy to have visitors again.

Good location for touring downtown Charlottetown. We booked a Superior Room with 2 queen beds. Room was basic, nothing special. The air conditioning was very noisy so I suggest ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Washroom was small and there was no door on the shower which resulted in water pooling on the floor outside the shower area.
Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful, others not so much.
Daily housekeeping was appreciated but apparently you have to specify what you want as far as services for example if you want the beds made.
Pool area was fun, but when the three of us arrived there was only one towel to share.

Billed as Charlottetown’s only 4 star, this hotel really is a cut above when it comes to design. They have this beautiful Atrium that goes up several stories but there is a very warm and cozy room to hang out on the 3rd floor at rhetorical bottom.
As a frequent business traveler the room design is indeed next level. Everything is thought out and is where it needs to be, the hooks in the restroom, the plugs and indeed their bathrobes are so comfy.
Pool and hot tub are great.
Lots of reviews mention the location, right downtown steps from some of the best restaurants, shopping and a short walk from the tourist boardwalk in the summer. Also, it’s attached to a nice small mall that has a Shoppers Pharmacy in it.
Very warm staff and the room was just so bright and beautiful. See my pictures. Thanks for a great stay!

I've rarely left a hotel feeling as absolutely neutral as I did about this one. For everything I liked, there was something I didn't and vice versa. For *me* personally, it was closer to a 3 star experience, but I rated it as 4 because I think there are things which would make it a good fit for others.
To start with the pros: The staff was very friendly and the beds very comfortable. My room was clean, room service was swift, and there were plenty of towel and toiletries. If you're looking for a central location in Charlottetown, it's hard to be better located than this. This is also a very pet friendly location, if you are traveling with a furry friend.
On the flip side, the Holman lacks any particular charm. It was very generic feeling. The hallways and shared spaces felt more like a dorm than a "grand hotel". My corner room was weirdly situated in a way that if the curtains were open, you could see into my room from the hallway. The frosted window on the bathroom door feels a little intrusive and I didn't love the positioning of the shower directly in front of the mirror. Because the glass doesn't cover the entire shower, there was a fair amount of residual splash on the floor as well.
There was a surprising lack of usb or charging ports. The only "charging dock" was on top of an outdated clock/radio which would have supported a first generation iPhone. The key cards were extremely sensitive and easy to demagnetize.
The available parking is a valet service. I did find this personally limiting in terms of the times I would leave Charlottetown. I felt bad getting my car more than once a day. Those staying primarily in Charlottetown may not have the same issue.
The pool area is pretty small and would likely be chaotic with more than three families there at once.
All in all, it was a fairly priced hotel that had last minute availability when I needed it, so I feel fortunate for the stay. I can't say that I would never return... but neither would I likely seek it out.

I love the Holman grand. We always have a good visit. But one spot they need to work on is information. When we called for room pricing and suites. They didn't mention anything about couples deals. After we rented and started looking things up. We realized for 30 dollars more we could have got one of the couple's romance packages with snow shoes and restaurant or shopping vouchers. This would have been good to know. And also that animals are welcome. This may have saved us sitter money.since we mentioned on the phone we just had to drop out dog of and we would head up. This isn't a complaint, just more of a suggestion. We told them it was a romantic vacation, and they could have offered us the packages. But if on a normal call they were to ask the purpose of the visit , and then make suggestions , it could have made our visit a lot more pleasant then it already was. But the only real complaint was cold. The big windows just radiated so much cold that my wife was freezing on her side. We like to keep the curtains open to wake up to sun, but it was a bad idea lol. none of this will stop us from staying again.

The Holman grand is a beautiful hotel in Charlottetown, PEI and I have stayed in many lovely rooms here. I recently made the mistake of booking the king room with outside terrace thinking we would have a special night with a view overlooking this beautiful city… I was wrong. The terrace is actually bordering on the whole air conditioning system if the hotel, so when you sit out you have continuously loud fans with the smell of grease from the restaurant. What a disappointment. I’ve paid less for much nicer rooms in this hotel. They should not be marketing this as a special room abs putting a higher price on it when it is an inferior space in the hotel. Be transparent about what you are offering!

Dear D2247JGnatalief, Thank you for your review and for your loyalty to our property. I am sorry that you were disappointed in the Terrace King guest room. The terraces are located on the 4th floor and don't feature the city/harbour views of some of our other guest rooms. I appreciate your comments regarding how the rooms are marketed - this is something that we will look into adjusting as we always strive to be direct and transparent. Thank you for your review and I look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

I have no complaints regarding the staff, as they were friendly and accommodating.
However, I cannot recommend this hotel and will not be staying there again.
1) I was expecting better service from a hotel that does not provide parking or breakfast.
2) Our room did not have any notepaper, pens, nor robes. (Which was an oversight by the staff).
3) The elevators take an inordinate amount of time to be called - there are only two in the hotel, and they are mostly occupied by cleaning staff.
4) Showers are constructed in such a way that there is no choice but to end up with a pool of water on the bathroom floor. (there is no shower curtain; just a holf wall of glass, and then a half wall of open space.
5) Shower heads are installed very low on the wall. If you are 5'10 or taller - good luck.
6) We were woken at 8:20 AM by a staff member who repeatedly kept knocking on our door. When I asked what they wanted, they said, "Did you need any towels?". We had not request towels, nor did we request room service.
7) If you are looking for an adult experience, this is not the hotel for you. There were numerous children running around the hallways yelling and making noise.
8) Elevator floors constantly soaked with water from people using them after they come from the hot tub and pool.

Sorry for not answering you, i just saw this!
