My wife and I booked a Luxury King room at The Old Mill this past weekend and were pleased with our stay overall. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely set for us on our arrival. The bluetooth speaker beside the bed was a pleasant surprise. The TV in the room is dated and lacking any sort of smart functionality. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful. It filled quickly and was well maintained and cleaned.

While a breakfast would be a nice touch, it was appreciated that the on-site Home Smith Bar offered breakfast each morning. Moreover, the Home Smith Bar provided an incredible Jazz performance both nights we stayed at the Inn.

Overall, our stay was quite enjoyable. While we often stay at AirBnBs this was a nice weekend away.

We were in town for a family Christmas and decided to stay at the Old Mill. What a fortuitous decision! The Inn was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The staff were absolutely superb: very personable and very efficient. The only drawback was the fact that the restaurant was not serving hotel guests other than through room service or in the Home Smith Bar. That suited our needs this time because we were having dinner with family but would not necessarily do so in the future. I would suggest that the other arrangements be made for hotel guests because no one wants to eat at a Christmas buffet every night of a 4-day stay.

My family and I decided to try out this hotel when we stayed in Toronto for an event. All of the employees were absolutely lovely from the front desk to the spa. I had asked if they could find me a town car for a ride and they called one, got me a price estimate and called it up to me in my room. Though the car service itself wasn't great, the front desk workers were kind with making the booking and letting me know when the car had arrived. The establishment felt regal from the moment we walked in due to the well styled lobby. The bar was easy to locate as were the rooms. Incredibly quiet hotel, in the best way. I felt like I was alone most of the time which was a nice treat in comparison to some hotels. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the jacuzzi tub was a little older but still very functional. I booked spa services two weeks in advance and I'm glad I did because when I was there, it was quite busy so I imagine they book up quickly! Definitely worth the trip just to go to the spa. The day I went in, the salt chamber wasn't working and they called to let me know in advance which was very nice. They were very accommodating and kind. Very clean spa, wonderful aromas. I loved all the aspects of the room and spa services. My issues lie in the cost of everything. For breakfast currently, they are only serving food from a small room service menu. The options were fine, but they were quite expensive, as was the coffee. From what we saw in the room, even the Nespresso machine coffee cost money. It felt as though there was very little offered that was complimentary. Further, the dinner room service menu offered an eclectic variety of foods which were, again, quite expensive and not quite to my taste so I would most likely get food elsewhere next time. It is nice that they offered parking but with it being in a parking garage across the street, I advise caution when going to drop off and retrieve your car.

For >$500 US dollars per day this hotel primarily capitalizes on it’s location. Quaint with a curbside appeal. The rooms are very basic with minimal amenities. Pillows and hairdryers need updating. The entire place is just dark with poor lighting. Commode is in a corner and the door opens up into the eating/seating area. We ordered breakfast a couple of times and specified vegetarian omelette which came both times with just sautéed onions and we were told they were out of vegetables. So we just started ordering from Uber eats. On our last night (6th day), we took the chance of ordering dinner and was thoroughly disappointed. The owner needs to really address this. Incorrect menu in the room with the wrong QR code, drinks are not covered ( open to air) when delivered to the room, pasta was inedible, pizza was mediocre. Parking is across the the street in an underground area, no valet. Blind spots to get run over with traffic from both sides getting to the parking. I was traveling with my 72 year old mother. People working at the hotel are extremely pleasant and try their best to assist, however upper management really needs to re-evaluate and update current necessities or drop the prices.

the worst place I've ever stayed in. Let's start serving them as it is very bad. I took responsibility for the damage I did not cause, so I called again to inform them that I did not cause this damage to the general manager who was supposed to be a professional that she was so rude and insulting. I told her that I didn't cause this damage, as it might be the cleanest that her staff said they knew how to open the window! I told her that I did not come from a village without windows or doors. In the end she agreed to return the damage fee because she was not right and had no consent. Look at the dirt in the photos as never before wiped. If you guys are not busy, do not try to rape the customer by imposing additional charges on them

Staff are great and the room and cleanliness are no problem however the recent changes in management have resulted in a continuing decline in service and a continuing increase in prices. The bar hours continue to shrink, you can't get anything to eat most times without ordering very expensive room service, you can no longer park across the street, and getting an emailed receipt for you stay takes two or three calls. And don't both asking for a late checkout, they say yes, no problem, and then they lock you out of your room! A newspaper delivered to your door is a thing of the past. After 20 years of going to the Old MIll it's time to shop around.

The Old Mill Hotel is attached to the Old Mill events center, which hosts many weddings and corporate events, etc. This review is only about the hotel, which is an attached by separately owned property. Rooms are very nice and fairly large. We had a King Suite with a spacious bedroom, a very spacious living room, and a very large bathroom. Decor was in line with an old mill, not modern style, very comfortable but not in all cases luxurious. Although they maintain the hotel well, some of the furnishings were older in style. The location of the hotel is interesting, it's sort of an oasis of rustic elegance, modern Toronto is just steps away but you don't really see it right away. In fact, there is a subway station less than 5 minutes walk away, but again, you don't see it. Note that the hotel, while very comfy, has a small bar and room service for breakfast and dinner, but no real restaurant (though there is one next door) and the area is not really walkable in that there are not things tourists would want (food, entertainment, shopping) without driving or taking the subway. But, if you have a car, that drive is 5-10 minutes tops). There is a (pricey) spa and a gym, but little else. Good service and beautiful surropundings.

My two siblings and I planned a Sisters weekend at the Old Mill and had a great time. The Spa has a wide menu of services that helped with our plans to relax! The Old Mill has beautiful and well maintained grounds. The charming exterior definitely feels like you’re out of the city and their are many pretty views from inside and out. Adjacent to the grounds is a city park with walkways and cycle paths. We even saw a deer on our mid-afternoon walk! Bikes are available to rent from the city or Hotel. We appreciated that the room had a separate sitting area and also a jacuzzi in the spacious bathroom. We did have a plumbing issue which the hotel staff worked quickly to resolve. Parking was also hassle free right next to the Old Mill. Special thank you to Gavin and Sam at the front desk for the flexibility and assistance with anything we needed. If you’re looking for a quick girls getaway I highly recommend. Not to mention you’re a short drive from Sherway Gardens if you enjoy shopping!

Charming and beautiful hotel with a great location. Even though it is a little further from downtown, it was really easy to get the subway in from the green and yellow lines, and easy to get to and from the airport. The area is quiet, but the hotel is round the corner to the subway and bus station, and you can walk or take the subway along the green line along Bloor St West to restaurants (Jane, Runnymede, High Park or Ossington stations).

Our room was spacious and comfortable, and included everything you would need in a hotel room (coffee machine, hairdryer, toiletries etc). We slept well and would definitely be back if we visited Toronto again. Highly recommended!

I only discovered this hotel in the last year, but I wish I had sooner. Yes, it is old school with a small, discreet reception desk and limited room service, but there is so much about staying here that is old-school luxurious. The staff is genuinely friendly, kind and helpful. The bathrooms are spacious and well appointed. The bedrooms are certainly larger than your average European hotel room, though smaller than your average American hotel room. But the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The underground parking garage is a welcome amenity. And you are within walking distance of a TTC stop and two lovely neighborhoods with great restaurants. Even the reading/sitting nooks in the hallways are peaceful and so comfortable. Finally, the Home Smith Pub, especially if you get Astrit behind the bar, is everything you hope for in a drinking and nibbling establishment.

Yes, there is parking across from the Old Mill. There is an area west of the restaurant by the chapel where cars can load and unload and by the hotel area, the same. Hope this helps.

I would suggest Uber.....they are cheaper and you can get from regular cars to extravagant cars...plus they are very fast when requesting pick up....you would need to download the AP first.
