It’s our second time staying at the Germain Maple Leaf and it never fails to meet our expectations. The staff are awesome and very accommodating. They pay attention to the details just to meet your needs and always there if you need something. I would definitely recommend to families with kids. Our first stay at the hotel a couple years ago, the staff knew that we were travelling with kids so they went above and beyond and change my sons pillow case for a paw patrol one. May not be a big deal to others but if it’s about my kids and it makes them excited about it, as simple as the gesture is, it makes us super happy. So thank you to all the staff and the management of Germain Maple Leaf. Until next time!

My wife & I arrived at Le Germain on Wednesday night around 9pm and we were welcomed by a very nice lady at the front desk. She was helpful and she graciously offered suggestions for activities and restaurants. We checked in to a Signature King on the top floor. The room was modern and designed. It has a huge glass rainfall shower and a Nespresso machine. The bed was extremely comfortable. We parked our car in the underground parking which is directly connected to the hotel. You don’t even have to go outside you can take the elevator from the parking directly to the hotel lobby. In the Maple Leaf Square there is a supermarket and an LCBO directly onsite. It’s perfect during COVID time if you need to buy some food or snacks. We both loved our stay and we are already planning to go back in November.

I traveled for a business meeting that was taking place in the hotel. Coming from a low Covid area and having risk factors and elderly relatives, safety protocols were of utmost importance to me. I wrote the concierge before my arrival, and even though they had not received my reservation yet (it was done through another organization) they took the time to answer all my concerns in a timely manner. The room was beautiful, it was very quiet (although the city itself is quiet during Covid and the AC Centre was not operating during my visit), and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. WiFi was fast, free and reliable. There was milk and cream for coffee and a Nespresso machine which did a lovely job. Refills when requested came in minutes. The meeting room protocols were excellent, with bar code scanning and questions about vaccinations. All staff appeared diligent about masking. I had room service twice, which was fast and delicious (pro tip - order the cookie plate!) The steak frites was delicious as well. I ordered a boxed continental breakfast which was delivered on time, and contained delicious pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit cup, orange juice and jam for $15. If I had one complaint, it would be that I was not told at check in that I had to request a room cleaning, which meant I was very disappointed to return to an uncleaned room after a long day of meetings. They offered for someone to come up when I inquired but I was not planning to leave the room again. The room had the shower in the middle with the shutters but as I was staying alone it was fine. All in all I would absolutely come back.

A great location, for sure, and an incredibly comfortable bed, but some maintenance issues were a huge let down over my two-night stay. When I arrived, the room was, strangely, very damp. Like, musty-smelling and bedsheets-sticking-to-you damp. The dampness might have been indicative of larger thermostat issues: no matter how I adjusted it, or for how long, the thermostat was stuck and wouldn't lower. Unfortunately, one of the blackout curtains had also come off its pulley and couldn't lower. I sent a note to reception after a rough first night, and although they managed to somewhat dry-out the room, the thermostat still wouldn't cooperate. It was a sweltering weekend, so it was pretty uncomfortable. For the price, especially of the suite, it was a very disappointing stay at what could be a great property.

All pros, no cons. This place had perfect location and everything was absolutely wonderful and the customer service was outstanding. Every time I come back to Toronto I’m definitely staying here. Everything inside the room was clean and beautiful and had an extremely comfortable bed with wonderful sheets. Structure in insulation was also good cause I couldn’t hear any of my neighbors above beside or below me and none of the outside noise of downtown.
