I made the reservation through Expedia. I thought it was a hotel, but it wasn't. It's actually condos inside a Tridel condo building. It's kind of like an AirBnB. I picked up the key from the concierge.
Communication with the Life Suite Loft team via text and email was pretty smooth and fast.
This is my first time staying downtown since living in Toronto for 30+ years. Me and 2 of my friends had tickets to watch a musical at the Princess of Wales but because of the severe snow storm forecast , we decided to stay downtown. Nearby hotels like Hyatt, Marriott and Fairmont, 1 night was around $600. When we saw LSL 1 bedroom suite for $305 plus $25 for parking, we booked it instantly. Overnight parking at Marriott was $56!!!! The parking here is cheap.
The building is 5 mins walk to Princess of Wales and lots of other restaurants. I would recommend this to my friends who visit from abroad for its proximity to many essential tourists destinations.
The unit itself was spacious. The view was fantastic, we were on the 40th floor. Though the wait for elevator was sometimes long.
The king bed in the master suite was comfy. But the double bed in the den was too soft, and no bedside table. The unit description said the can accommodate 6 people. But I think 4 will be max as there is only 1 bathroom.
LSL has 2 and 3 bedrooms units . I will definitely tell my visitors to book this place

Great central Location with lots of amenities within walking distance including Ripley’s aquarium and CN tower. Easy access to public transport for more distant travel.
Good flat clean and spacious. My Only issue was I expected a kitchen in a flat for 5people to have better equipment. The pots provided were tiny and I was not able to cook at all. I booked a flat with an equipped kitchen to give me the option to cook.
If you’re not planning on cooking great flat. I f you want to cook, bring a wok or your own pot!

Overall it’s worth staying here. Just know in advance that it is clunky checking in at best. It took more than half an hour for the front desk to locate my room key. There was no fob for the underground parking, and although the front desk let me into the parking garage I did still get ticketed overnight. The pull out couch is not great for sleeping, it’s best to just leave it tucked in and sleep on the couch. The location, view, and room amenities are all fantastic, and for the price I would say it’s worth the frustration. I should also mention that although they say that your security deposit is returned after inspection on the day of your checkout, the email I received after inspection stated 1-2 weeks. I’ve been home for a week and still haven’t received my deposit back.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Absolutely disgusting! We checked in and found old opened food in the freezer. We tossed the food and moved on. When we were packing up we noticed one of the beds had blood stains all over the sheets and underside of the duvet cover. My friend had been sleeping in the bed and hadn’t noticed as she hadn’t opened the sheets all the way and the stain was on the lower half of the bed and the pillows were covering the stains at the top of the bed. It was absolutely revolting and when we reached out to them they were not at all apologetic, offered no type of refund for the unsanitary conditions and were just rude and accusatory. I would absolutely NOT stay here, but if you do, make sure you do a thorough check of all bedding and the whole apartment at check in, as they clearly have very low standards for hygiene and cleanliness.

personally look at reviews before I book a room so hopefully, this will help you! PROS- location is great. Secure building. Parking under building was reasonable. Its a condo.Communication was good. CONS-They needs tons of information including two pictures before you book. Confusing regarding a parking spot code (took us a long time). Need to obtain keys from a kiosk which was confusing. 2 bedroom condo has little living space. No plugs if you want to take a bath.Stains on rugs and blinds. Need to pay damage fee which took a full week to get back.

I was excited to try an alternative hotel accommodation for business travel, I've used Airbnb many times for personal travel and had great experiences. To access the flat, they email you a day before with the flat number and building code (no doorman), then the flat is totally unlocked for access. When I arrived at 11pm, the balcony screen door was broken and removed from the hinges and the balcony glass door was completely open. As a young women traveling alone, I was totally freaked out, not knowing who had been in the flat through either the unlocked front door or broken and open balcony access.

I left and found a hotel with secure access. The Life Suites staff refused a refund for the unacceptable accommodations, didn't even apologize for the horrible experience, and were overall very rude. Not a safe or secure space, wouldn't recommend to anyone. By far my worse hotel, motel, or private home stay experience (and I've traveled on a weekly basis for the last 3 years).

The hotel is good, very well located, but there are some problems at the unit and the crew that rented us didn`t answer any of our e-mails.
There was a broken glass door when we arrived, the air conditioning was not working, and, besides it was announced as a non smoking apartment, there was a terrible smoke smell all over the place.
We tried to reach them but no answer at all.

I will list the negatives first.
We are on a long holiday and I booked this apartment for 4 days as a break from Hotel stays and to get washing done and have some home cooked meals. For starters, there were no instructions on how to use the washing machine. only one big saucepan and two frying pans, no toaster and no plug for the sink. After several emails, a sweet young lass called Anna provided a toaster, washing machine instructions and a bucket as no plug was available.
But the worst about this unit was the lack of window coverings. There are some flimsy see through curtains which dont even cover all the windows and two dark curtains at each side that are only about half a metre wide- on windows approx 4 mtres wide!! This meant that the sun streamed through the windows making it difficult to see the TV, heated the room up and made it very glaring. The thermostat seemed to be broken as no matter what temperature it was put to, it did not change. We ended up having the balcony door open all night to try and cool the place down. It made the small bedroom very stuffy and I ended up sleeping on the couch to get the breeze from the open door.
The 2 couches are very low to the floor and I found it difficult (after a knee op) to get up from them- and very uncomfortable to sleep on. The TV screen is quite small for the size of the room and with no instruction manual was difficult to navigate.
Now for the positives. Wifi was great, had no trouble logging inand no drop outs. The linen and towells were clean and adequate. There was plenty of supplies of toiletries etc. The location is fantastic. Surrounded by great eateries and across the road from the CN tower.
I peeked over the balcony at other units and they seemed to be in better condition- at least had decent window furnishings from what I could see.I think its apalling that in this case, the owners can accept a high end fee for letting out their appartment without having some obligation as to the condition and amenities of it.
For around the $250 per night that we paid, I'm sure we would have been better of getting hotel accom and using their laundry services.

Although this was not a hotel, it was managed well. There is no front desk, but detailed step by step check-in instructions are emailed ahead of time. Also follow up emails were sent to be sure there were no problems in getting in the room. There is a phone number to call with any questions or problems. There was a complete kitchen (oven, fridge, freezer ... ) equipped with cookware, utensils and dishes. Keurig (with pods), tea pot, toaster, etc. Everything else a hotel room has - ironing board, iron, toiletries, hair dryer. Even a cot, although, I can't figure where there would be room to open it up. Underground parking was available for $20. The location was super - very close to CN Tower and Air Canada Center, for example. They do charge a cleaning fee on top of the room rate. I do not think they clean everyday - only after checkout.

Shady organization, impossible check-in, no one to contact. We have been sitting in the lobby for an hour. Apparently they send you a text, then you send them $300 extra dollars, then they are supposed to give you a room number. When it doesn't show up for an hour you are told to call Expedia (who has no involvement and can't do anything). If instead you call that original number that texted you what you believed was an automated text you might be able to get a room number. Give that to the concierge and they will call the property manager (what!???) who will come from somewhere at some point to let you into the room.

NEVER BOOK HERE!!!

I do not think I answered in time to help this traveler, but ... We were contacted through email by a Life Suites representative who gave us detailed information/step-by-step instructions for checking in. We booked through an Expedia affiliate and were shortly thereafter contacted by Life Suites. I replied to their email with a few questions and they responded immediately.

Yes. The cleaning fee was automatically added under 'fees and taxes' when booked.
