Detailed Reviews
My husband and I stayed for one night on a recent trip to St. Catharines. Very happy with our decision on this hotel. Although it is a "motel" set up do not let that deter you from choosing to stay here. Check in was quick and very friendly. Our room was very clean, had a small fridge, lots of hangers and even an in room safe. The heating/air conditioning unit worked great, wifi was good, the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. Between 7am - 10am they offer muffins, danishes and juices in a small refreshment area near the main office. The location is right off the QEW and close to all amenities. What a great find and excellent value for the money!

Room Tip:Â We had a room overlooking the river which I imagine in the summer would be very pretty.

We have stayed at the Capri about 15 days per year over the last 9 years and have found it consistently excellent. We have gotten to know Mary and Teddy, the proprietors, quite well. They see our reservation and give us our favourite room. They maintain the place well and keep doing little renovations. The rooms are a generous size and have bar fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, etc. The location is good on Ontario St at the QEW. You can walk to Tim Hortons or McDonalds. Noise has never been a problem. Cleaning standards are rigorous.

My husband and I spent the weekend at the Capri Inn as we were in St. Catharines for my grandsons hockey tournament. It is one of the old fashioned motels but is so very clean and the young lad at the front desk was excellent with directions to the arenas. The beds are very comfortable and they left an ashtray outside the front door for me so I could have a smoke. The breakfast was juice and a muffin but we were close to restaurants and the QEW. It was very reasonably priced and I would certainly not hesitate to stay there again.

Upon arrival the young man checking is in greeted me by name, (what! do you offer psychic readings I asked). He laughed and asked me how my hike was. I couldn't believe that he had actually written down when I made the reservation weeks before that my friend and I were hiking the Bruce Trail for 2 days. He stated he put us in an end room to make sure it was quiet and we had a view of the water. The room was perfect, clean, comfy beds, (we hiked 23 km that day), great water pressure in the shower, mini fridge for the left over pizza and coffee for the morning. Woke up the next morning refreshed and went to pick up muffins and juice in the refreshment room. My friend and I would come back here each time we hiked but unfortunately the Bruce Trail end 900 km from there. Hope this review gives you the confidence that booking The Capri Inn is a great choice.

This Is my home away from home when I have to be in city for family stuff. When you walk into the rooms you smell freshness. Its one of the only Motels I have stayed in that when you climb Into bed you actually know It is clean Linen. The sheets Smell clean and fresh.
The staff Greets you by name and I have always had a wonderful experience.
My last stay I was greeted by Julia who was In training and she was wonderful

First of all, it's VERY solidly built with brick and masonry brick construction. NO security worries here. Typical two-storey motel in an "L" shape with stairs leading to the upper level.
Nice & normal customers. Friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are about 350 sq. ft. with SUPER comfy beds, excellent air conditioning, SPOTLESS bathroom (which includes a tub), and mini-fridge.
Internet was sometimes a bit slow to load video clips at peak times. Occasionally, you had to sign in a second time.
Self serve muffins, pastries, and juice at breakfast time.
My rate was $136, which was excellent during the Canada Summer Games. Also, lots of travellers use this property as their Niagara Falls hotel, as the Falls are only a 25 minute drive away.
I normally don't stay at motels, but I would be happy to stay in this excellent property many times over!
One caveat - there are no refunds after you check in. If you decide to shorten your stay, you won't get a refund for the unused nights, but that's outlined on your agreement when you rent the room.

I booked this hotel as it was in close proximity to the events we wanted to attend in the area When we checked in the hostess was quite pleasant and welcomed us. Our room was on the 2nd level and was very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows. Our room was at the perfect temperature and we never had to touch the thermostat. Breakfast offerings included granola bars, muffins and Rice Krispies squares. There are also other restaurants in the area that offer breakfast if wanted. The staff would inquire if there was anything we needed in our room and were quite pleasant as well. If we are ever back in the Niagara area we will not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights and was checked in by Bobby who was very hospitable and welcoming. The room was well equipped, spacious, and clean. We did get a room with a lagoon view as requested and noted by Bobby. The Inn was very accessible and directly off of the highway and minutes from downtown st Catherine. Would recommend to family and friends.

We stayed 3 days, and this is the best INN in our travel experience. The view from the window is spectacular. We took some pictures. The water is so calm that we can see the reflection of the view. The bed is very comfortable. Quiet, clean, and detailed accommodations. We really enjoyed our stay.

There is no shuttle from the hotel. It is really set up to serve the needs of those with a vehicle. However if you go to the Capri Inn website, you can contact them by email. I'm sure they can help with alternatives. There may be some form of shuttle available that is not associated with the hotel itself. the other option is to "Google" Niagara shuttles and see if something pops up. There may also be something under touring Niagara as well.
