We stayed at the Old Ivy Walk this past weekend and I have to say, I’m hands down impressed with how amazing the stay was!
The owner has gone above and beyond to make sure the rooms are deep cleaned and the common hallways are as safe as possible. The grounds are beautifully taken care of and you can feel comfortable to relax in your spacious room with seating, or in the big yard where you can easily distance yourselves from other visitors and still enjoy a picnic. They now have a breakfast box full of goodies that will keep you full for hours! You really can’t beat this place - a gorgeous heritage home a block from NOTLs amazing restaurants and beach. If you are able to get a reservation here, I recommend it, it’s a great getaway.

We had a fabulous stay at the Old Ivy Walk in May this year. The owner, Philip, greeted us on arrival, his welcome was an indication of the warm hospitality we would be receiving. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

The house is set in beautiful grounds, the greenery and the birds were a calming effect after a busy “tourist” day. The location is super convenient (walking distance to everything), and the easy onsite parking was helpful. We enjoyed our breakfasts each morning of our stay, a testament to Philip’s culinary skills.

We have been recommending The Old Ivy Walk and hope to be back again. Thank you Philip for helping us celebrate our milestone wedding anniversary, we will always remember our stay!

We typlically avoid B & B's and I actually made the reservation thinking I was selecting a location in old town between Queen St. and the lake. Well. the Old Ivy Walk was that and more. It was a B & B and the food that Phil delivered to our room every morning, was hot, presented in a hamper, gourmet prepared and diverse; it was different every morning. You can choose to eat in your room, at the picnic pavilion in the back yard, or pack it two block to Queen's Royal Park at the lake. We choose to sit at the pavilion in the warm afternoons. It is excellent. If there was a downside to this revue, the furniture and bed in our room was not for old people; the bed couldn't be over a foot tall and the chairs no higher. We struggled getting up and down.

We came to Niagara to see plays. Upon checking in we were told no shoes in the house. Room had an air conditioning unit on the floor which sounded like a Mac truck. Bathroom had a built in shower so small you couldn’t turn around or bend down. Toilet was across the room down a step. No dining room. The breakfast was served in a box. All food was wrapped in plastic-a bottle of juice and other stuff from the store. We checked out early An experience not to be repeated.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Old Ivy Walk. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the Lake and Fort George.
Our hosts Simone and George were absolutely wonderful and friendly. They texted us the day of our arrival with information and provided us with recommendations for dinner. At breakfast, we had a lovely conversation and they really made us feel welcome.

As for the place itself, it is well kept and well priced. Breakfasts were delicious (excellent French Toast and Pancakes and tasty eggs the next morning!). I would highly recommend this to anyone!

The property is lovely, clean and in a perfect location. The breakfast each day was generous and of very good quality. We stayed in the Lady Richards room, which I would not recommend at all. The mattress felt like sleeping on wet sand. The bathroom was large and the bathtub was very large. But, the separate shower was a tiny, narrow, cheap plastic corner unit that only a super model could be comfortable in. For the price we paid, it was not worth it.

My Fiancé and I stayed at the Old Ivy walk from September 5-7 (labour long weekend). It was our first stay in Niagara on the lake and I was blown away. We were greeted by Philip (the most wonderful host) and gave us all the information needed. We started exploring the area right away and EVERYTHING is walking distance from this place. We would go for walks, go out to have lunch, dinner, snack, go to the lake- all with ease because our 'home for the weekend' is just close by.
The place is clean, safe and well taken care of and you feel like you are coming back to your own home.

We would have the loveliest breakfast in a box waiting outside our doors. You can spend the morning in the courtyard or walk to the lake and have breakfast/brunch there.

If you are looking for a great place to getaway, we definitely recommend the Old Ivy Walk. We would definitely stay here again :)

Location was perfect. Everything was 10” walking. We saw 11 plays in 5 days and all of them were great! Philip was such a wonderful host and every recommendation was spot on including the car service from the airport. Breakfast was delightful and rooms were well appointed and spotless. Truly a gem!!!

I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Host was welcoming and helpful. Room was comfortable and had two arm chairs, plus a chair with a desk. Large bathroom with deep soaker tub and separate shower in our room (the General Prideaux suite on second floor). House does have air conditioning. Full breakfast delivered to your room for you to enjoy in the room, in the large garden, or take the short walk to the lake.

We stayed at the Old Ivy Walk during our holidays at NOTL. Beautiful and very well kept bed and breakfast. We stayed in Lady Richards room. The room was clean, big and beautiful. Philip was a great host and his breakfast boxes were out of this world!! We will definitely go back!
