Fabulous location, amazingly helpful and kind staff, beyond clean, incredibly roomy and comfortable - I have stayed in NOTL before at the Vintage Hotels but I think I'll be returning here every time now. Beth was our bartender at the hotel bar and wasn't just nice, she was accommodating, kind, helpful and fun to a bunch of crazy Buffalo Bills fans that needed room to pace and watch the game and drinks to calm the nerves. Give her a paid day off or a raise from me!

We visited for the weekend to celebrate our Mom’s 70th birthday...from the minute we walked in we blown away by the customer service from every staff member. Assisted with getting a special birthday request (balloons from D&H - also highly recommend) in our room, as well as all of our luggage up the stairs and waiting for us in the room. The room was perfectly appointed and well stocked with toiletries (fancy ones at that!) which were replenished at request along with fresh towels and Kcups with a courtesy call from Housekeeping in the morning. Plush robes supplied in the closet were used while we lounged and enjoyed the included breakfast which was perfect to get us started for the day. Although the Starbucks next door recently closed, the staff will make you a perfect Americano, latte or other hot drink at your request in the lobby.

After a great day of wine tours and tastings we couldn’t wait to return to our room, flip on the fireplace and relax around the kitchen island snacking on charcuterie and (more) wine.

I emailed more than once to ensure the details were confirmed prior to arrival and had a reply each time within minutes. The hotel also assisted with a coveted weekend reservation to the adjacent Treadwell restaurant which is very popular for good reason.

No issues whatsoever with the ongoing construction or parking.

Our goal was to make our Mom feel absolutely special and celebrated and the service and hospitality we received made this possible...it was a perfect girls weekend.

We will be back!

Truly enjoyed our over night stay for our anniversary. The room looked all recently renovated, the bed was comfortable, the room clean, but it was all the little touches that we appreciated. Water in the mini fridge, wine glasses in the room, premium toiletries, plush and large towels in the bathroom - all really added to our experience.

Our stay at 124 On Queen Hotel & Spa was far from satisfactory and certainly below the standard that we expect from hotels charging more than $400 nightly.

We’ve summarized our concerns below.

Noise

When we checked-in we asked about the construction noise, and were told that “they were just moving in furniture so it shouldn’t be too bad”. On the contrary, the construction noise was very loud and incessant.

Further, the noise from the restaurant directly below our room was exceedingly loud.

And, on our second night, there was a very loud noise from above; it sounded like a motor or pump or similar piece of equipment. This noise went on for some time.

Limited Parking

We did understand from your website that there may be some challenges with parking. So, we didn’t really mind having to walk a way in the rain to get to our car. But the issue was that there were not enough parking spaces designated as “Reserved for 124Q”. We had to keep returning to our car in the hopes of finding an empty designated spot, only to find that there were none. You need to increase the number of spaces available.

Bag Breakfasts

The arrangements for breakfast were not even at the level we expect from a low-cost, roadside hotel.

We had no choice as to what we received. We could not specify the time we would like to pick it up, consequently the food was cold when we picked up our bags from the Gate House.

For the rate we were paying, this hotel should have given us a nightly menu including hot items, so we could indicate our choices and the time in the AM we wished to eat, and the hotel staff should have delivered the breakfasts to our room.

Lack of Daily Amenities

We had to ask & wait for replenishment of our daily consumables such as coffee, shampoo & rinse.

These kinds of issues are not to be expected when staying at any hotel, but certainly not when the nightly rate is more than $400 per night

We will not be recommending your hotel to our family & friends.

This place is great for a weekend getaway as the location in the heart of Niagara on the Lake is perfect.

The rooms are clean and well maintained and the staff were helpful. The new addition and construction they are undergoing looks like it will be amazing. We had a room directly beside the construction and any noise disruption was minimal - the rooms were fairly soundproof.

It would have been great to have daily room make-up and cleaning services, but I know many places have put this on hold for Covid safety. The only other comment I have is that the quality of the toilet paper and the facial tissue do not match the standards of this hotel; they are way too cheap to belong here. It seems petty, but it was definitely noticeable.

Otherwise, our stay was wonderful!

Thank you for your review. Our Housekeeping team goes an extra mile to keep the spaces clean and organized for our guests. Unfortunately, with regards to Covid and keeping in mind the safety of our guests and staff we have temporarily paused on stay-over service. Our Housekeeping team makes sure that they call guests each morning to ask if they can refill on any amenities. We would like to thank you for your patience during this time and giving us your honest feedback, we will take this into consideration and pass it on to our Higher Management. At this time, we are in the process of our transition and are looking to upgrade all our facility to ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests. Please do think of us for your next visit to Niagara on the Lake.

Wonderfully expanded and renovated hotel right in the heart of Niagara on the lake. Treadwells restaurant next door provided first rate fare from the 4 course dinner through to wonderful lunch items over the noon hour. There is a Starbucks off the lobby and a terrific Chimney cake bakery next door which makes sweet and savoury offerings including wonderful packed sandwiches to go suitable for a gourmet picnic. The hotel is still finishing up some additional upgrades to enhance the cocktail bar and patio area. We had a 1 bedroom suite overlooking the fountain which had a fridge, multifunction microwave/convection oven and a powder room in addition to the shower and double sinks in the ensuite. All in all a first class hotel. Looking forward to a return trip next year. We didn’t use the spa but it looks very nice. Underground parking is a huge bonus.

Our visit to 124 on queen Hotel and spa was nothing short of spectacular. The team at the hotel is so gracious and helpful and just genuinely nice. We stayed at the gatehouse in a lovely room it was amply supplied with places to sit lovely beds and bedding great toiletries. It was spotlessly clean and all-around perfect. I can’t say enough enough about 124 on Queen Hotel and spa. The Niagara on the lake region is a must see for anyone that’s traveling towards Ontario as well .

Great location right in the heart of Niagara on the Lake. Staff where extremely pleasant. Shout out to Ellen and Megan on our check in. There was a delay with our room as yhe previous tenants were extremely late departing, but yhey did everything they could and repeatedly apologized for the delay. Housekeeping was trying their best to get the room clean. Our room was ground floor in the new section and once the landscaping is done will be great. Room was great and rather larger than expected. Hotel was extremely clean. Spent a few hours at the bar on Monday evening with other patrons. The Bar Tenders were great and very knowledgeable about the area. We also sat with the Food and Beverage Manager who was fantastic. My wife wanted a Spanish Coffee, but the bar tender apologized and told us he didn't have any whipped cream. The Manger said give me 2 minutes, came back with a tub of homemade whipped cream. For the down side and really don't want to call them cons. The reception area is rather small, as at one time there was about 4 or 5 couples trying to register, so everyone could hear everyone's business. There was only Ellen and Megan. Extra staff during check in would have been great since it was a long weekend. This may have been as most businesses are experiencing a lack of available staff, and might also involve housekeeping, which we understand and are patient. The menus at the two locations are confusing. The Treadwell, appears to only have 4 course meals at night, with no other selection of modifying. I can't eat a four course meal and walk afterword. The Gatehouse hours are very hard to understand and conflict with what the Treadwell says are options. I can't understand how the Gatehouse charges $32 for a hamburger. We would we stay there again without question.

Thank you for your feed-back! We appreciate the review and recognition to Ellen, Megan at front desk and to our bartenders. They work incredibly hard for moments like this and take great pride when it comes together perfectly as you described throughout your review. We have noted your feed-back about our Treadwell Restaurant and Gate House. Note that we will be opening later on this Fall a brand new offering within our Q Lounge and Bar with great food options. We hope to welcome you back before long and until then, have a wonderful day ! Eric Quesnel General Manager 124 on Queen Hotel and Spa

We were very disappointed with our stay. Upon arrival the room was quite cold although the thermostat read 68. Upon returning from the dinner the temperature had dropped to 62. The very pleasant evening desk clerk came right up to our room and fussed with the thermostat for quite awhile and finally was able to make an adjustment. It took about 2 hours for the room to reach a tolerable temperature. Upon our morning departure the safe would not unlock. The front desk said housekeeping would need to be called in to unlock it. An hour later when we asked when housekeeping would arrive the desk clerk was surprised that it had not been taken of. When housekeeping finally arrived it was apparent that the safe had had previous problems. Unfortunately we lost the entire morning to this situation. When checking out the desk attendant was less than concerned when we mentioned the heat and safe issues. We asked to speak with the manager. We were told she wouldn’t be in until the following day. We asked to have her contact us but there was no follow up. This was very disappointing. For the cost of the stay, this was unacceptable. It is unfortunate because the location is great and the place is attractive but I would never recommend it based on our experience.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We wanted to first offer our sincerest apologies for issues with the heating system. We can imagine how frustrating this must have been, we are happy to let you know our heating technician has since been to our hotel and corrected the issue with the thermostat on our digital heating systems. We have replaced the safe in hopes that this avoids any future complications and again we thank you for bringing this to our attention. I stayed at a Queen Street location, however, at the same time family stayed at the King Street location, had a suite, it was very nice. I would not be overly concerned staying there
