We strive to present a relaxing, comfortable home, rich in all things that life in this glorious region has to offer. Copper Dreams proposes a mix of the historic and the modern, as this historically significant home, circa 1870, fully renovated and restored in the last few years, blends seamlessly with modern furnishings, artwork, technology, and amenities. The guest rooms feature all new hypoallergenic pillow top plush mattresses, duvets and pillows. Televisions, fireplaces, robes, iOS compatible radios and seating areas are common to all rooms. Complimentary snacks and refreshments are available at all times. With ample free parking on site and wine tours stopping at our front door, use of your car is strictly discretionary. We are here to make this a relaxing, invigorating and memorable vacation, so let me know of any special needs or desires, and I will do my best to make your dreams come true! Robert Chapla

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Copper Dreams B&B this past weekend and it exceeded our expectations. The house was beautiful and welcoming. Our room (Newark Room) was gorgeous and had a huge ensuite with a jacuzzi tub and glass stand alone shower. The owners were so friendly and really made us feel at home. This was our first stay at a B&B and I wasn't sure what to expect - but we were so impressed and will definitely stay here again when we return to Niagara on the Lake. The breakfast was so delicious ....a sorbet to start followed by vanilla almond french toast with whipped cream and local fresh strawberries.
If you are looking for a B&B for your Niagara visit - you will love this gem!

My partner and I spent three excellent days during June in Niagara on the Lake. We love the theatre, and we have our favourites when it comes to Boutique Hotels and Bed and Breakfasts . On this occasion , all of our favored locations were full due to the short notice. Nevertheless , the proprietress of one of these 'treasures' strongly suggested that we try Copper Dreams on Johnson Street . We now have a new 'favourite' to add to the list.
Robert , the owner, greeted us along with his white Samoyed dog. In spite of suffering a little both from pain and the resulting anticipation of a dentist visit , he exuded charm and immediately made us feel welcome. Our beautifully appointed room was clear evidence that Robert was a successful interior decorator. We loved our ground-floor room . During our stay we had the opportunity of visiting the remaining guest-rooms, all of which were spacious and again , decorated with flare.
You can park your car in the private area at Copper Dreams , and there it can stay unless you intend to explore places that are outside of town. The ideal location is perfect for walking to theatres, shops and restaurants. Robert will be pleased to guide you . However having enjoyed the magnificent breakfast , which is more than ample and varies each morning, it will probably be a few hours before you need to satisfy any hunger pangs !
Should you wish to take a rest at any time , there are welcoming sitting areas both inside and on the verandah , where a good book is all you need .
Again , we much appreciate having been referred to Copper Dreams , and look forward to a return visit . Robert , we thank you again . Ron and Peter (Port Hope, Ontario )

I can't say enough good things about this B&B. We have been going to Niagara On The Lake (NOTL) since the 1990's to enjoy theatre and a relaxing get away. We have stayed at several B&B in the area but loved Copper Dreams. The location, directly 2 blocks from Festival Theatre, is perfect. Being in the Old Town makes everything a pleasant and convenient walk. There is guest parking at the rear of the property so park your car and enjoy walking NOTL.
The house is divided into a guest area - which occupies the old house - and an adjoining living quarters at the back for Robert - the owner and your host. The main floor of the house has a comfortable livingroom and a dining room. There is a wonderful front porch with chairs for guests to enjoy an early morning coffee (help yourself to the Tassimo) or a glass of wine after the theatre. It is surrounded by trees so breezy and pleasant.
For guests with potential mobility challenges there is a main floor guest suite with large bedroom and ensuite deluxe bathroom. Upstairs on the second floor are two additional guest suites. The larger of the two is spacious with a huge bathroom, jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. The room we stayed in was the smallest of the three but comfortable. Our private bathroom was just across the hall and all bathrooms are totally upgraded and modern. We did not find it inconvenient to not have an en suite bathroom.
There is a small fridge in a 'butler' pantry on the second floor so you can store wines or drinks and help yourself to bottled water and pop which is made available complimentary. There are also snacks for guests.
Breakfast is served in the diningroom at 9am and was really excellent - much better than I have had at other B&Bs. We stayed for 2 nights and each morning started off with a yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and granola. This was followed by a main course which was different each morning. We had French toast made with home made bread, real maple syrup, fresh picked strawberries and the second day we were served a potato/egg/bacon stir fry that was absolutely delicious... sided with fresh greens/cucumber/strawberry slices and fresh bread. All of this served with fresh coffee and juices.
We also enjoyed our host Robert and his wonderful samoyed puppy. Even though Robert has only owned the B&B for a short time he knows how to make people feel at home, is an excellent host and interesting conversationalist. He gave us some great suggestions on wineries to visit. I think we have found our 'go to' place when next visiting Niagara On The Lake.

We just returned from a lovely stay at this B&B. It is under new ownership (now called Copper Dreams B&B), and Robert is working hard to make guests feel welcomed and well cared for. The shops and theaters of Old Town are a short walk away, the residential street on which the B&B is located is quiet, and the breakfast was delicious. The three bedrooms in this historical house are well decorated and clean, and the guest living room and dining room comfortable. We stayed in the Nutmeg Room, which was quiet and comfortable.

My husband and I just returned from our vacation at Niagara on the Lake. This was our first trip to the historic town. We instantly fell in love with the area. We stayed at Copper Lane Bed and Breakfast. We could not be more pleased with the experience. Our hosts Maddie and Bill were wonderful and extremely accommodating. Being new to the area, we asked Maddie for recommendations on what to do around town. Her dinner, winery and theater suggestions were right on target. The rooms were cozy, exceptionally decorated and roomy. We made our reservations a little late so we had the pleasure of trying two of the rooms. We stayed two nights in the Nutmeg and two in the Vanilla Bean. The rooms each had their own unique charm but were equally as comfortable. The beds were amazing. Every morning we had a delicious, creative three course breakfast starting with a fruit dish, a breakfast entrée, and ending with a dessert. We were just minutes away from the historic town. We had many choices when selecting a B&B in the area and stumbled upon this little jewel. Bill and Maddie instantly made us feel at home. We attended a convention that will bring us into town again next year. Hopefully we will be bringing friends and will be sure to make our reservations early as we will not consider staying anywhere else when in the area. Simply a marvelous experience.

We had made reservations at this b&b with some hesitation (we were concerned about noise/privacy levels; dining with strangers for breakfast; cleanliness) but I'm very happy to report that the moment we were greeted at the door by our hosts, Bill & Maddie, any worries vanished. From the lovely front porch to the private parking in the back of the house to the fabulous location (only moments from great shopping and wonderful restaurants & pubs) we enjoyed a wonderful weekend in wine country. Our room was decorated in a warm colour and was beautifully appointed with luxurious linens, an amazing mattress (beautiful pillow top...we peaked); antiques and original pieces of art throughout the entire house that our hosts have collected over the last thirty years; a great two-person bathtub and a glass enclosed shower; robes & slippers for our use during our stay and the entire home was spotless! The breakfasts we enjoyed were healthy yet original and most importantly delicious! We met some cool people from other parts of Ontario and enjoyed great discussions at the dining room table. Our host Bill makes a wicked cup of coffee and Maddie serves great baked goods. We had a great day visiting a number of local wineries (got discount coupons from our hosts) as well as shopping and visiting the local pubs. Great, relaxing weekend spent in a beautiful part of Ontario. We plan on going back to the Shaw in the summer and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

I booked a stay in August. I had surgery in July and we wanted to get away. Complications from the surgery forced us to cancel with Copper Dreams. I called them a week in advance and cancelled, as they asked on their website and asked for a confirmation call back. No call. I emailed a few days before our scheduled stay to see if they received my call a week before. They emailed they did. They were able to fill the room which was confirmed on the Chamber of Commerce website. According to their OWN policy they were to return our deposit. They charged us $150.00. I asked they refund it. They refused. Be aware of these people. I would not recommend a stay there with these type of business practices.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Copper Dreams B&B - just a block or so from Queen Street in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It's an easy walk to the Shaw Festival theaters, restaurants, and shops. The breakfasts were scrumptious. We had a large room on the second floor with a soaking tub and shower. Everything seemed designed for our comfort, with snacks and water bottles available just outside our door. Thanks Robert and Kelly!

Copper Dreams is the Bed & Breakfast to stay at when in Niagara on the Lake. Kelly the main hostess is so friendly and accommodating! Her breakfasts are amazing and the coffee is so good!.
The B&B is one short block away from the Main Street and yet quiet in the evening. The rooms are well appointed and front porch is a great place to relax after a tour of the vineyards..
Kelly and Robert have a great knowledge of the area and can recommend the sites too see + make amazing dinner recommendations.
I would highly recommend this B&B. We are definately coming back to stay!

We stayed for 3 nights in the upstairs room with the fireplace & tub. The house is gorgeous and beautifully restored. Our room was very comfortable with a comfy bed, snacks, and a hot bath & robes for when we came in out of the January cold! The house was perfectly situated just a block from Queen St., allowing us to walk the streets every morning and grab a light breakfast. We spent two days touring wineries, with many less than a 10 minute drive in any direction. Robert was very helpful whenever we needed anything and his dog was extremely adorable. Would highly recommend to couples looking for a romantic getaway!
