Where shall I begin? As of this writing (July 2022) the parking lot is next to a construction site for the expansion of the hotel next door. This is also the "view" from most rooms -- nice cranes! The "pool", which used to be there, at the edge of the parking lot, is now a degraded, dirty cesspool of stagnant rainwater. Garbage and an old mattress were piled at the bottom of a staircase. The room itself had no character, although it seemed mostly clean. There was a TV, but no telephone, no fridge, no microwave, and no coffeemaker. Beds were clearly past their prime and a little too soft. Sheets had a stain. Towels were rough and tiny. The doorframe had clearly been broken before and kind-of repaired; I wondered if someone had kicked in the door at one time. Although it looked like this place may have had a restaurant in the past, based upon older photos, there is now a Smoke's Poutinerie in the front. One positive: the morning desk clerk was able to recommend a decent breakfast spot and actually seemed interested in where we were going. Honestly, there are worse places to stay and this place is livable in a pinch, but should not be at the top of anyone's list.

My wife & I took the kids here in June 2013 & I was a bit unsure after reading reviews. We would normally stay at The Hilton, Embassy Suites, Sheraton or such but we seen a deal for this & got 2 nights for $89 which included various vouchers. When we arrived we were early & they had a room for us & to be honest, it was just what we expected & I mean that in a good way. This place is well worth the money. You are literally 1min walk to Clifton hill & if you go out the back way you are 1-2mins walk from the Greg Frewin theatre. What more could you ask for?. We normally pay $200+ for The Hilton & it is far from everything & means a lot of walking for the kids. At the Victoria Motor Inn we could stay 5 nights for the same price!. Obviously this is what we took into consideration when we were to judge the place. The verdict- this place is well worth the money, it is (I think) a family run motel & they are very helpful. Seriously, where could you stay for that price next to everything?. When we were there we seen a few families staying there & their kids seemed to be enjoying it too in the pool. Give it a try, even if it is for 1 night just remember what you are getting for the price. We slept well, everything overall was average but why expect more. Buffet breakfast is a couple of steps away & only 7.99 at Montanas We will go back there

This was your average motel. The price was decent, location is great as it is a short walk to Clifton Hill. The rooms were clean. If you are looking to save a little money and don't require anything too fancy then I would recommend it. Our room did not have the usual items like a fridge, hair dryer or phone but that wasn't important to us for a one night stay. I was surprised at how clean the bathroom was, the tub was spotless.

Smells clean as soon as you walk in. We brought bleach for the hot tub and did not have to use the bleach as in other motels. Prices are fair for location and hot tub with balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful even filled our cooler with ice for the trip home. Front balcony was great for fireworks and people watching when winding down for the night or even during our afternoon drink. It is in walking distance of the Falls and they did not charge us for parking, normal parking fee is $10 a day still a good price.

Walked in and then walked right out. Enough said. I was already on the fence about staying here as I usually always stay at the hotel next door but they were sold out. We tried to convince ourselves that it would be ok but it was not!!! The location is great but that’s about it! At least now we know, lesson learned. Ps… they don’t give you a key card, it’s an actual key and it’s only one which isn’t ideal if you’re with others.

Beds are well past their prime. One bed was like sleeping on a box spring. The other was like sleeping in jello. The "pool" is non existent. Just a big concrete hole at the back of the very tiny parking lot. Furniture was mis matched, wobbly and so run down. Air conditioning unit did not work at all. Thankfully it wasn't overly warm the night we stayed, but still warm enough that it would have been nice to have it cooler than it was. Probably the ONLY thing this place has going for it is location. But do yourself a favor...spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

As you expect from a "motor inn" there are not a lot of extras included with the room. However, it was one of the cleanest places I've stayed at (chain hotels included) and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Everything is in walking distance. The restaurant is the perfect place to start the morning with a good, inexpensive breakfast. A very pleasant surprise overall.

Booked this place for two nights in September. The reception area should have been as far as we got. ......hip hop music playing while the guy behind the counter was eating and chatting with his buddies.
had a room at the front of building with a balcony and a jacuzzi in the room. I would not advise anyone use the jacuzzi or even the shower......dirty apoearance!! No phone in room. Ashtray on balcony was dirty. Nothing was orderly in the room! It smelled bad and looked bad. We could not stay!!!!! 10 minutes after booking in we booked out. They returned one nights stay but would not give us back our money for the first night.
we eventually booked into the Embassy Suites. This made our stay much more enjoyable.
I would not have been able to put my body in that filthy room at the Victoria. Do yourself a favor and don't stay st the Victoria motor inn.

Now the Victoria Motor Inn has seen better days and is a little tired in places BUT if you are on a budget and want to be almost in the center of town then you probably can't do much better than this. The staff are fantastic and are only too happy to try and help, if you have a problem, don't moan about it, speak with the management and I am sure they will do the best they can to help. We we're told about a local diner just 10 mins drive out of town...it was perfect and again you are paying local prices not town prices...it's worth the drive.....it's called the "Queen's Coach Restaurant" on St Paul Ave.
