I come to this hotel at least 8 to 10 times a year, and it's our favorite spot. The staff are absolutely amazing. They are always there to help you with any problems that you may have, and are so very friendly especially during these hard times. The prices are great especially considering the location of where the hotel is located, and the owner/manager are very accommodating. The rooms are very well kept and the outside is beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a great deal and a very friendly, comfortable place to lie your head down at night. I give it 10 star's.

It's a great price to take kids. You are smack dab in the middle of all the Clifton Hill craziness. You can come in park your car and never have to touch it again until you're ready to leave town. While you could find more luxurious places to stay, I have always recommended this to people who are bringing kids to town.

This is one of the three Travelodge Hotels around the Clifton Hill district. This one is right on Clifton Hill. You cannot beat this location at all. It's also the former historic Honeymoon City Motel so that makes it great as well. Checking in/Checking out was a breeze as the staff are great here. Parking was $15 not sure if that's the rate during spring/summer as well. We were on the first floor which has a large open area in front if the room where I am guessing you can put your chairs there and sit outside, the 2nd floor rooms have a balcony. The hotel/motel is only 2 floors and in an L shape. The room was large, as is how many older hotels and motels.are. there is a mini fridge and a microwave as well. TV is your standard 32". Veey clean room with comfy beds. There is also a round table with two chairs by the large windows. The washroom is a bit small but that's fine. Its clean and the water pressure was spot on. There is a window a/c unit in the rooms for summer. The heat was controlled by a thermostat on the wall. Overall the hotel is great. I am sure its booked up all summer weekends for sure as the location you cannot beat. The property salts the areas out in front of the first floor rooms. This will be my go to property during the off season as the rates are great.

Pay $20-30 more sometimes its the same amount for a No View Room at a different hotel but do not stay at Travelodge at Clifton Hill. Front desk needs coaching, training on how to speak with their customers. Just amazed that even during the Pandemic when the Hotel needs to be at their best in customer service were found lagging behind. Crown Plaza and Sheraton would be the best option.

I took my 2 year old to Niagara Falls for his first ever visit. We had a great time seeing the Falls and nighttime lights and fireworks as well as enjoying activities along Clifton Hill. We did both Wizard Mini Golf and Dinosaur Mini Golf as well as The Fun House (right next to the driveway of the hotel - the yellow one), the Great Canadian Midway and The Rainforest Cafe. He had a great time. The hotel is so conveniently located that we barely used his stroller to get from place to place. The rooms are large, clean and the staff are pleasant. There is no central air, but a unit in the window, which made cooling the room down more difficult than we're used to, but for 2 nights it was better than nothing. We would definitely stay here again, if planning to overnight in Niagara Falls again - also very convenient that parking is included for guests. Even though the hotel is located right on Clifton Hill there is minimal noise once you are inside, considering the atmosphere along the hill can get loud, especially on the weekends.

Called ahead to prebook a king room with private balcony 2 days prior to our visit on December 11. When we got to check in I was turned off. The older man behind the glass was very rude. No mask ( which I though was mandatory) began to cough out in the open (mind you their plastic barrier are not fully sealed. Then he had to charge my card twice (apparently one charge is the room the other is the deposit). When I asked why I was told they do this all the time for many years and no one has questioned this ( I've stayed here before and they never did that.) Older man was just miserable. I let all this slide because it was our anniversary and we just wanted to go to dinner and enjoy ourselves. The strong odor of cigarette was in our room ( yet the door said non / no smoking ) The hot water didn't work the heater was broken. When I had let him know the issues in our room I was told nothing could be done. No other rooms to upgrade if I wasn't happy I could leave. Dont have to tell me twice, we left.
The customer service sucked. For a man of that age to be very snobbish is very sad. We ended up loosing our dinner reservations because we had to scramble and find a new hotel. I would never stay here or recommend this place to anyone.

The location is prime. That's just a fact. But that's almost what that stops. Parking is convenient and the rooms hand a fridge and microwave, which helps save on the tourist trap restaurant costs but that's it. The rooms are super outdated. The bathrooms are pretty shabby and mattresses suck for stiff backs. Don't expect to get good channels on the outdated TV. There are hardly any channels so you better hope the wifi works. The worst part is that the room we stayed in (368) stinked like a fish tank. We later tracked it to the rely old AC they have jammed into the back wall between the bath and closet. If you stand straight in front, you can see right through it. I was having headaches and stuffed noses the entire stay. That headache lasted a day after we left. I wouldn't surprise if the smell was mold. Terrible. Also, the night before we left the toilet stopped flushing for no reason. We let the staff know and it never got fixed. My family and I had to pee in the same toilet water, and could not go #2. It wasn't all bad because we spent a lot of time site seeing. But I wouldn't recommend this place to families unless it's for a quick shower or a dip in the pool. The place is really cheap but you get what you paid for in a sense, but if we hadn't been out busy, this place would have been a nightmare.

I am so surprised that this property is getting any good reviews. The place is dated maybe from 60s and the room did not seem to be renovated since. Don't be deceived by the pictures that you may see on websites like booking.com, it is literally nothing near it. The room was so stinky that when you walk out of the room you start feeling that you can breath again - most probably due to carpet and the wall paper god knows how old they are. I can't believe there is a wall aircon unit right above your head when you lay on bed. The property must be 💴 printing for years due to its central location, it is so disgraceful that the hotel management do not have any respect to their business! Stay away!

Perhaps it's what we should expect from Travelodge, based on previous experience with other locations in Ontario: you get what you pay for. Overall, certainly not horrible. Everything was clean and service was great. Simply found the room to be dated. It smelled and looked old (musty). The beds (two doubles) were also dated or simply had poor quality mattresses.

The location is amazing especially if you have little ones who get tired walking too far. All attractions are within a 2 block radius. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean. Not sure we could ask for more especially at this price point. Building is definitely showing signs of age but not enough to diminish the experience. Highly Recommend
