The Ramada by Wyndham Niagara Falls by the River seems to offer a mixed experience. Guests appreciate its quiet location near attractions, yet some are dissatisfied with closed amenities and maintenance woes, including the subpar breakfast offered. While the service elicits a split verdict, with commendations for staff courtesy juxtaposed against complaints of unprofessionalism, room conditions frequently disappoint due to cleanliness and upkeep issues. Despite some praise for room cleanliness and comfort, the overall atmosphere and value perceptions vary, with hidden fees marring what many see as reasonable pricing.

Spent the night here hotel was ok room was a fair size average hotel room clean but could be cleaner. Leaky tap in the shower ac worked tv was very quiet at full volume strange. No fridge or microwave hotel right on the river was a nice view. The pool was small and water was ok nice view but the deck had bad drainage and no pool towels was a negative. I requested a cot and finally on the 3rd attempt I got one that was un made and had to make myself at 1030pm. The overnight employee seemed angry at any request. To attempt to buy snacks was denied and then was angry we needed a new room key. The hotel was ok for the night I wouldn’t return though other then the exemption of one employee josh was excellent and trying to help anyway he could the rest were rude or uninterested in any request we had I rarely give bad reviews but it was pretty bad service. Wouldn’t return if you need a night just to sleep it was ok but overall 5/10.

Our room was clean, large and the king size bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the Jacuzzi and took 2 relaxing bubble baths during my stay. There was noise from adjacent rooms and hallway in the early evening, however, we didn't hear anything after 10 PM. Our curtains did not pull completely together but it didn't matter to our comfort and quality of sleep. The front desk staff and manager were friendly and professional. Our TV didn't work at the start of our stay and was fixed within minutes of our reporting it. I recommend this hotel for couples on vacation.

Queens size beds were more like single beds…the bed sheets and pillow looked and smelled clean. the hallways and bathroom was noticeable dirty. Staff was friendly, lobby was clean and tidy. But I think the price and quality didn’t match.

I booked this hotel stay for my son and I for a quick fun March break getaway … having stayed at multiple Ramada hotels I thought this location would’ve been up to par with the rest of their hotel locations. Boy was I wrong!

After speaking to someone on the phone this past Thursday (17 of March) I was told I could receive early check in upon my arrival. We got to the hotel at 1:30pm and the lady at the counter advised me I could check in early but if I was to check in before 2pm there would be an early check in fee… seeing as it was already 1:30pm and the hotel was a ghost town I didn’t think she’d make such a fuss about the half hour difference. She did. So I said no problem! We’ll be back after 2pm.

We got back and we’re able to check in. There is an additional parking fee of $14… which I don’t understand as that should be included as an amenity of the hotel? But no problem. Paid that as well …

I was then advised the pool was closed. After seeing reviews I expected this to be the case but thought I’d just verify if it was still closed or if they had gone ahead and opened it.

We were given a room on the 2nd floor. It was absolutely disgusting. First off, if you’re going to make a stink about an early check in fee I’m expecting that the additional time I’m waiting to check in would be used towards cleaning the room? This was NOT the case. Cobwebs covered the window. Towels were stained. Makeup smudges near the full body mirror. Furniture has NOT been dusted. Stained bathroom sink. Room smelt disgusting. Beds were trash and linens felt damp?

Upon check out I was told there was a $4.99 facility fee? Now I could be wrong. But a facility fee would be an extra fee to use the pool and such? Correct? No. Apparently it is their administration fee? Which I have never heard of.

All in all it was a terrible stay. I wouldn’t be back even if someone paid me. I tried to make the most of it for my son and let this all slide. But I do not recommend this hotel location to absolutely anybody !

If I could rate this below terrible, I most definitely would!

From check in to check out, we personally couldn't fault the hotel. All the staff were exceptional in their customer service. The room was huge, clean, light and airy. We had an issue with the tv not working but within 10 minutes a maintenance guy had been up.and sorted it out. There was a heater in the room, 2 queen size beds, a fridge, tea and coffee machine and a well stocked bathroom. The domestic who serviced the rooms daily was an extremely hard worker and always looked after us with extra coffee and kept our room spotless. We stayed in 518. It was a lovely room with a good view. The pool was nice with towels provided. Good location for the falls and for niagara botanical gardens. We walked to the falls in about 40 minutes and we walked to the botanical gardens in around 1.5 hours. You could catch the bus but we love to walk. For food and beer take a 10 minute walk to queens street. You'll find cafes, bars and restaurants. Excellent stay. Thanks everyone.

My toilet was stained of urine and feces. Windows full of fingerprints, telephone was dirty as well as the remote control for the TV and A/C. When I asked to get my toilet cleaned I was told it was impossible so they decided to change my room to a room that was worse than the original. COVID-19 rules are not being respected.
I have also complained to the authorities. I asked for sanitizer to clean my room myself but I was told that because of COVID-19 they were not allowed to give it to me,

The room itself pretty standard and clean. The TV was on an antenna and would and channels would be unavailable, bad quality, or no audio. Internet was good and high speed.

Location was in a pretty sketchy area. Lots of closed down businesses but it is away from all the huddle around the falls which I liked.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Cleaning staff werent wearing face masks and only some front desk staff were wearing it.
At arrival they inform you that parking is an additional $15 per night. Website doesn't mention this (Expedia or their own website). Large parking lot and the lot was almost empty and considering it's not in a busy part of town is ridiculous.
Staff advised the pool, gym, and arcade is closed due to lack of guests and staff and not due to covid. (No restriction currently in place) but when you check out they charge you $10 fee for amenities. Go figure.
Lots of other small issues I won't mention but be aware of all the hidden fees

The room was very basic, with simple amenities such as milk for tea/coffee not included. The sheets also had stains on them and the bathtub definitely was not the colour it was meant to me. Beware that parking also costs $14/night, which shocked me considering hotels right in Niagara Falls had parking included.

We had a fantastic 2-day stay during the middle of the week. Being a significant walk north of the Falls, we were appreciative that the hotel was right across the street from a WEGO bus stop (a 2-day bus pass saved any hassle with walking and paying for parking). There is a small parking fee ($10/day) to keep your car at the hotel, but that seems to be the standard for visits anywhere in the area. The free WiFi was nice (especially if you are traveling internationally and don't have an international roaming plan). The staff member checking was in was polite, as were all the staff members during our visit. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were able to comfortably sleep 5 (2 adults/3 kids) with the aid of a sleeping bag on the floor. Our bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. Any requests for additional towels or kleenex/toilet paper received a rapid response of items being brought to our room within 5-10 minutes. The breakfast buffet was really good food (eggs/omelette bites, seasoned potatoes, sausages, waffles/French toast, cereal, muffin/pastry, juice/coffee/water) and was consistently brought our fresh without any waiting, although the breakfast room got crowded with guests during peak times. We found it was a great value, and we were very happy with our visit. We would definitely stay there again.

Shortly before our arrival date to the hotel, I received an email saying that the pool was under renovation and thus, parking would be free. I was fine with this as my daughter was competing at the cheerleading Nationals that weekend and I didn't want her using energy playing in the pool.
Upon arrival, there was a man checking in, asking the price per night, etc. He was informed that parking was X amount of dollars per night. What? I was emailed it was free because the pool could not be used! When he was informed that the pool wasn't open, he asked, do we get some kind of discount, and the girl serving him (daytime employee with straight dark brown/black hair) flat out said no. He was charged for parking even though the girl serving me (a little younger than the other one, with dirty blonde hair) conceded that parking was free.... and this was only after she started to try to tell me the the fee for parking is, when I stopped her and told her I received an email saying parking is free, to which she totally changed directions and said 'yeah, it's free'. All the while there is a man checking in next to me, who they felt it was ok to charge for parking, while admitting to me that it's free! Not cool at all.

The room and hotel, overall, were ok. Not the best, but not the worst.

Went for breakfast just after 9 AM the next day. Saw housekeeping a few doors down from our room. When we came back, our room was not made up. I thought, maybe she is doing the rooms of people who checked out and will come back to us. We got ready for competition and left. Returned around 5 PM and our room was untouched. Garbages still full, beds unmade, no fresh towels, no cleaning...nothing. When we left for dinner, I asked front desk for some more conditioner and informed them that housekeeping hadn't made up our room. All they said was 'oh'. No offer to get someone to go while we were out, nothing. I don't understand it...she was just a few rooms away from ours when we left for breakfast.

There was a disgusting blood stain on the blanket that I'm thankful my daughter didn't see, as it was the bed she had slept in.

Totally disappointed with our stay there. The only good things: beds were comfy, lots of parking, and the ladies in IHOP were so nice and personable.

This hotel is definitely a non-smoking hotel for sure.

There is onsite parking for $14 + tax per night. The falls are approximately 4km or 2.5 miles from the hotel. It takes approximately 30-40 minutes to walk to the Fallsview district.

There is a fee. I believe its still 14$ a night. However the front desk cam guide you to cheaper places. But at this hotel, it is good safe parking.
