Detailed Reviews
This was an over night stay package the Holiday Inn promotes. This was the 3rd time we've stayed at the Holiday Inn & the 2nd time we've purchased this package.
Hotel room, ride to the top of the Skylon tower, dinner at the rotating restaurant, and breakfast the next morning plus an optional tour of a local winery from only $199.00 or more depending on day & season.
The Skylon Tower elevator ride gives an awesome trip to the rotating restaurant followed by a 5 star dinner and ride to the top observation deck. Just this is worth the cost of the package! Everything is within walking distance to here.
Overnight stay in a hotel room...We stayed in room 308...
The floor was awkwardly sloped & dipped to the point it could cause you to trip or fall, the bathroom had NO hooks, rods or rails on the walls, door or tiles to hang your towels and there was a layer of dust on the towel shelf.
The breakfast was basic food but an added plus. An added bonus was we were given cups of coffee & a newspaper to go as well.
I left a comment card & included cell number & email address but didn't hear back from hotel management. I wanted to communicate with Holiday Inn management before leaving a negative review.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It sounds like you really enjoyed the stay, and the great value our package has to offer! I apologize for the downfalls with your room. There are towel hooks behind the doors in every room. I will have housekeeping address the dust on the towel shelf. We appreciate your feedback, and hope that you'll stay with us again in future.

My husband and I stayed in the executive king room for a weekend. The room cost us 600 for the weekend so it definitely wasn't cheap. There was good, bad and really bad aspects of this stay.
I'll start with the good. Location: the hotel was a 5 minute walk to Fallsview casino and right up the hill from the falls. I loved the location! The entryway and lobby was quite nice. The front desk staff were very polite and our check inn was quick and efficient. Although old, there was a balcony that overlooked the pool and down towards the casino.
The bad! The room was not clean! Especially the bathroom. There was dirt in the corners and mold in the shower. The wallpaper was bubbling and lifting in several areas throughout the room. The paint was peeling on the ceiling and there were marks on the ceiling that looked like water marks. There was melted wax all over the floor beside the bed that I'm sure would have easily came off.
The ugly! I paid 600 for a whirlpool tub room and only one third of the jets worked. TBH that was the biggest disappointment for my husband and I.
We chose not to bring forth our concerns to the front desk staff because we are both passive people and we hate to complain but we were hugely disappointed as it isn't often we can get away for a weekend especially when paying what we would consider such a large amount of money for a room.

After checking in and relaxing before heading out for dinner, I requested to be moved to another floor (top floor) as the peole above me were so noisy and it felt like they were coming through the floor.
The front desk staff were very helpful and very pleasant and reacted right away and moved me.
The room and TV were like I was in another hotel, the bed was more comfortable and everything worked.
Thought it was going good until I was shaving the next morning and noticed a 3 inch centipede crwaing on the mirror. I think I got it but shook all my luggage and clothing out before running out of the room with luggage in hand to ensure nothing crawled in. Found another smaller one closer to the window and left. Again, the staff was very nice and assurred me they would address the issue. I'm glad my spouse wasn't with me. I only stayed there as my buddy was there and we were away for a couple days hanging out.
For a little more, it's Marriott for me.

Hello ve3xqt, Thank you for writing a review about your experience at the Holiday Inn Niagara Falls - by the Falls. I truly appreciate the time you have taken to share your experience. I'm also glad that our staff service, TV and comfortable rooms made your stay enjoyable. I want to apologize for the shortcomings you have experienced during your stay. Spent 4 nights. Room and hotel very clean. Front desk staff above average. Housekeeping did very good job each day. Free parking. Location is excellent with a walk downhill to the falls. Casino across the street. WEGO bus system stops across the street. Tim Hortons just over a block away. Ate 3 times in Cocos restaurant in hotel and it was very good. Would definitely return.

We stayed in this hotel 3 nights and we did not like that a receptionist was not able to shut her mouth. She should do her job, explaining that they do not do housekeeping the first day instead of being rude the second day. I do not advise this hotel at all, even if the other receptionists were helpul. Who does she think she is?
She was quite rude saying that it was the law (she did not mention the previous day). It's ok if they don't do housekeeping but there is a way to mention it and this should be displayed throughout the hotel or in the room. I think also the Francophones are not welcomed. I hope she has been fired because you have so many nice people looking for a job at this moment.
.The location is OK but nothing exceptional for the rooms. We avoided the reception desk for two days .Afterwards at Holiday inn, there was a friendly receptionist when my husband went to ask for soap and coffee. The young man who warned us that the hotel was closing was also friendly. I go to Niagara relatively often and I will never go back to this hotel. At the Quality Inn Fallewiew Cascade, we enjoyed the snack they gave us in the morning for breakfast and the room was pleasant too. We should have left Holiday inn the second day.

Responded 22 Mar 2021
Thank you for your review Emma. At check-in, all of our agents are explaining to guests that we are not offering housekeeping to our guests for multiple night stays. This is being done for the safety of our housekeepers, but also our guests, as this limits the contact with personal items. We are providing all amenities as required - extra towels, linens, coffee, soaps, etc. All you need to do is ask. I'm sorry that this put a damper on your visit, but we need to do what is right for our staff and our guests.

What a welcome overnight stay !!! There were 4 of us in total , 2 rooms , both facing the pool . We arrived ,check- in was a breeze, parking is super simple and the front desk staff very friendly . Covid protocol from every aspect of the hotel was followed , we felt safe at all times, the patio was open and we enjoyed drinks and pizza in the sunshine. They stager times for guests around the pool, and it worked well .
As guests ,we followed our own personal Covid routines, with our own wipes and hand sanitizer and masks.
Good job Holiday Inn !!

We paid a premium $175/night including taxes just to be near Clifton hills and Niagara falls. It was not as close as it was mentioned in the promotions. The hotel is in need of serious upgrades and perhaps remodeling. I have stayed at Holiday Inn before, usually Holiday Inn has a decent standard, but this one didn’t not meet the standard of the typical Holiday Inn. The ambience was not good. It felt like a one star motel. The room size was very small and the washroom was very congested with below par fittings. There was too much noise even past midnight due to loud guests and some people banging the room doors past midnight. Front desk and service staff was very nice. One advantage that we had was that the Self parking was free. Tim Horton’s was close by and we had our breakfast there. They do have a restaurant within Holiday Inn if you wish to dine in.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your feedback. I am very sorry that you felt that the hotel needed an upgrade. We went through an extensive remodel in 2017, and do touch ups on a regular basis. We are a family friendly hotel, and do our best to ensure that our guests are able to sleep well at the hotel. I hope you let the front desk know that you had a noisy neighbor, as we are always able to let them know so that it quiets down. We are also only about a block away from the Falls, and we're lucky enough to be one of the closest hotels as you can get to the Falls. We hope that our free parking, friendly staff, great restaurant, and supreme location may tempt you back to our location in future. We hope to see you again.

I want to start off by saying I'm a manager at a hotel myself and this customer service right here was not professional. Friends and I went to Niagara falls for a 1 night stay at this establishment and right off the bat the employee told me nothing but asked me for my credit card. She didn't say how much the deposit was or any new rules due to covid. It's understandable to forget to say certain things but if there are new rules that have been implemented the hotel should either have a sign or give every guest at check-in a paper stating what is needed like making reservations at the pool. There was a dead spider in my tub which allowed me understand that my room wasn't checked prior me getting in. The way we booked the room we asked for specifics, it's understandable if it's unavailable but at the same time some words to the customers could have been said. At check out there was about 4 people for different reasons that had a problem with the guest services communication. We had complimentary breakfast that was stated on our itinerary and then was told we don't have it. A family of 2 kids had the same and then was told it was only for the adults... I've been to many hotels and I would never had any types of problems with the guest service reps. Nor would I have my employees behave in sure manner. This is my first and last time coming to this specific hotel.

Hello Ameriica1, I'm sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your reservation. We are doing everything possible to fully communicate to our guests both the deposit, and the steps we are taking to be covid compliant. We know that sometimes mistakes are made, but we are trying hard to cut down on any miscommunications. As for breakfast, when you book through a Third Party (like Expedia or Booking.com) it's very important to read the fine print. They often don't charge for more than 2 breakfasts, which will show a lower cost upfront when booking, that you end up paying directly to the hotel later. When you book direct, there is no doubt about what you will be charged. If you can email me at tadams@hinf.com, I would be happy to take a look into your reservation further, and determine whether further coaching needs to take place with our front desk agents. Thank you for your review, and we hope that you'll give us another try in future.

While free parking was nice, and the rooms were newly decorated and beautiful, looks can be deceiving. The mattress was so incredibly uncomfortable. The AC would not go below 24 degrees after having it on for 2 days! It was hot and uncomfortable in the room. We even called maintenance, which did nothing. There was no extra toilet paper rolls in the bathroom, which is a first I've ever seen in a hotel. I woke up in the middle of the night and had no toilet paper left and no where to get any! Lastly, no front desk staff informed us that there was no stay over room keeping. I understand the reason for it, because of covid, but it would have been nice to know, as I ended up being stuck with no towels on the third day! Since this was our honeymoon, we literally left on the third day and went and stayed at the Hilton for a comparable prices but much better surroundings and customer service!

We’ve just come back from 2 nights at this Holiday Inn, and were not disappointed!!! We had 2 other rooms in our party and they made sure that we were all together, whîch was really nice. The room was spacious and clean, and right across from Fallsview Casino, so just a very short walk. The rooms were also an excellent price and parking was free!!!
Also want to make special mention of Coco’s restaurant/bar that is on the premises - their menu had something for everyone and was quite reasonably priced, especially considering the area. And the portion sizes were more than enough.
We will definitely return to this Holiday Inn, and I would recommend it to family and friends.
