The room was outdated but clean for the most part, one of the double beds had cigarette burns on the comforter. They advertise free wifi but it never worked in the room or outside the lobby. The only pro was that it was close enough to the US, that I was able to get 4G signal from the US.
I liked the price of the room, location, (bit of a long walk to the Falls) we parked on Clifton Hill $3.00 per Hr. parking meter. Wouldn't hesitate at all to rebook at a later date. Thank you for a great stay !!
I would and will return here again!!!
And I appreciate that the Crystal Inn does NOT charge the infamous DMF/TIF fee. When traveling to Niagara Falls, Ontario, check your bills very carefully, whether hotel, restaurant or store receipts. If you don't understand what a certain fee is, ask. The DMF/TIF is a voluntary "fee" businesses in Niagara like to pretend is mandatory, so you'll pay it. But if you want it removed, they are legally obligated to do so. The Crystal Inn does NOT charge this fee, and the woman at the reception desk abhors the fee, as any honest business person should.
The capstone was the fireplace in the room. This sold my wife. She says it is just a matter of "when", not "if" we go back. :-)
For the money, we were pleased with our accommodation.
