Detailed Reviews
My husband and I stayed at the Whistler Peak Lodge in September. We had a lovely stay right in Whistler Village. Our accommodations offered many amenities including a regular size coffee maker, toaster, kettle and a stove top. Our room also included cutlery, plates, and wine glasses.
The hotel itself was quite nice and the location was perfect for us. Right next door to Earls and other restaurants. Very quiet hotel which was nice. Our only drawback was the hot tub area was a little odd and the icemaker was located there as well so many people were in an out of that areaWhile you were in the hot tub so very little privacy

Great location in the heart of the village but know that it can be noisy at night. Our room face the pizza joint which gets very busy after the bars close. Earplugs did the trick for us with little issue. One big issue was the studio with den we had booked and paid for. The bedroom is a tiny windowless room with not even space for bedside tables. It looks and feels like a bad jail cell and that it really needs to be better described on the website. The staff were very helpful and moved us to a different room as a “downgrade”. The new room was a studio with a small balcony and while noisy at night it was a much better option. Note that the price was not adjusted down, but we were ok with that. Not sure that we would stay here again.

I really don’t know how to rate the place. The noise from our room was catastrophic and neither the hotel or the booking agent (whistler.com) had said nothing about that. It did not help it was mlk weekend but no one mentioned that either. The noise died down at 230am for those nights...
The hotel is well located but not well insulated against the drunken drug filled cacophony of american college students enticed over the border by a lower drinking age.
But the hotel can’t do much about where it is. And when we raised it they did offer to move us (not easy two parents with 5 kids) for a fee. And offer ear plugs (which helped me a bit). And when my wife left something at the Scandinavian spa the hotel retrieved it in a nice easy manner.
So their service was excellent considering. But if I were a family staying st a busy time please ask for a quiet room somewhere. Or stay elsewhere. Otherwise it really will impact your experience. It’s hard to be rational when you are blithered through sleep deprivation.

Thank you for sharing your review of our lodge following your recent stay. I’m delighted to see that you enjoyed our location in the heart of Whistler Village, and that the service from our staff left you feeling looked after. I am so sorry for any noise disturbance you experienced from the Village Stroll and appreciate you letting us know. I hope you had a wonderful time in Whistler and hope to welcome you back soon.

If this place wants to be classified as 3 stars, then it sorely needs a renovation. Front staff were quite friendly. Rooms were cramped with dingy carpets and bathrooms. We had to keep wrestling with the fitted sheet as it was clear that it did not fit the bed it was on. Windows were left open, I assume the building would be boiling if they weren’t, but have to concur with other reviewers stating the loud, drunk people galavanting around the village was something we could have lived without. Given that we stayed during peak season, we would have paid more for much better accommodation. They need to lower their rating to 2 stars and should be using the location as an excuse to bump it up to 3. I will not stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay with us. I am pleased that the front desk staff were friendly. I am sorry to hear that the room was not to your liking, the carpets have been replaced recently but we will be sure to follow up in the unit you stayed in. We do have a variety of units ranging from standard studios to two bedroom suites should you like a larger unit. Our location is in the heart of Whistler village extremely close to all of the shops and restaurants. Unfortunately noise can sometimes be a drawback of our fantastic location. However there is a night noise bylaw in Whistler starting at 10pm and there is a security guard on site nightly who patrols our whole complex and sees to reported noise issues. I appreciate your feedback and do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to Whistler soon.

We were looking for an affordable place to stay in Whistler and choose this hotel for our two nights stay. Before arriving the communication with the lodge was excellent as they gave us a lot of information in advance. I asked if we could have an early check in and we got a message telling us that our room was ready for us. The room was quite small but the bed was comfy and everything was spotless clean. There is also a small kitchette in the room which we found convenient to prepare breakfast. The best thing about this lodge is the location - it is right next to the center with all the restaurants, bars and shops and it is within easy walking distance to the gondola. If you don't mind a small room we can recommend this lodge.

Two bedroom unit with pullout couch bed in living room comfortably accommodated 5 adults. Well equipped kitchen included laundry machines (we did not use). Small terrace was nice. Located right on the Village Stroll so very convenient location. Underground parking good though for a fee. No central AC. There was a stand alone AC unit in living area. One bedroom had windows that could open for ventilation. One bedroom has no windows or AC. There was a portable fan which we needed as the room gets stuffy when door closed. We left the 2 bedroom doors open for air circulation. We were not there during peak summer heat luckily.

Small studio apartment, with a kitchenette (including plates, cups, cutlery, etc). Stayed for two nights with my partner mid-August 2021. Covid procedures were in full effect, and the room was very clean upon arrival. There is no central AC, but a portable one (listed on the website) which did the trick. Washroom was clean, the water pressure for the shower is AMAZING.
Seems like the other reviews mention that it can get noisy/have a party vibe... But we did not experience that whatsoever (maybe because we stayed in the beginning of the week). The hot tub was available for use (had to reserve beforehand).
Our travel plans changed, and they were able to extend our reservation and keep us in the same room, which was great.
Would stay again in a heartbeat! Little gem.

Almost 42-45% tax/fees, all the other hotels nearby charge about 18-20%. Requested early check-in and never heard back. All the amenities are closed due to covid but still charging service fee. Other hotels have covid guidelines and have amenities open

+1
Always when looking for places to stay, location is a key along with comfort and price.
This looked like it had everything covered. The location was a quick walk from the gateway loop bus stop. The pricing was good compared to a lot of the more expensive hotels and it seemed to have good amenities.
Check in was easy, but the directions to get to the room was a little vague. We had to go back to the check in area to get them to show us where the room was.
The rooms are spread out in various wings in different buildings so it can be a little tricky to find.
The room was very nice. A little dated, but quite comfortable. The bathroom was a little dated as well but adequate.
It has a little kitchenette which was good, with all the items you need to cook if you wanted. The fridge was a good size as well.
It had adequate seating, the TV was good.
The only issue I had was that the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds id slept in. It was way to soft, the pillows were to soft and very uncomfortable and the duvet was very heavy, almost like a weighted blanket which was very hard to sleep under.
If the bed was better I would've given this place a "very good" rating, but as you spend most of your time either snow boarding or skiing, you want a bed that's comfortable. That's the only reason I gave an average rating for the place as the bed was hugely uncomfortable. Otherwise, service was good, location was excellent and pricing was very good. If they changed the bedding I'd happily stay there again.

Located right in the village, it’s hard to beat the location. The room was exactly as described and very comfortable.
Downsides are that there is no housekeeping - this was outlined in advance - yet there isn’t enough consumables (ie soap, toilet paper) provided commensurate to the length of stay.
There are no power outlets near the bed - even the bedside clock was located on the other side of the room next to the tv. This is something that can be fixed with a $5 power strip.
