My husband and I stayed here overnight recently following an Alaska cruise. The hotel is located very close (walking distance) to the port and also close to the station from where we got a train to the airport. A 25 min journey for around €5.
The hotel is not your typical hotel experience. It’s part of a complex within which there are residential units and commercial units and as such there is no lounge or restaurant.
The room we were allocated was beautiful with 2 double beds and 2 massive picture windows looking out over the neighbouring skyscraper buildings. Our room had a large tv and desk area as well as a small table and 2 chairs. It was spotlessly clean and the decor light and modern.
The room was very well equipped with a kitchen sink, fridge, coffee maker, microwave and free safe. There were also robes.
Hotel guests have access to the on/site very well equipped gym and 25m swimming pool which were both very impressive with a lovely warm jacuzzi and a sauna and steam room in the changing areas.
The staff on reception were very helpful.

Loved my stay here! Perfect location with amazing city and water views. The room was spacious, spotless, and felt like a mini studio with a comfy bed, mini-fridge, microwave, sink, and Nespresso machine. Super quiet for a great night’s sleep.

No ice machine on the floor, but staff brought ice whenever I asked. Laundry service was good and reasonably priced. The bathroom had a shower (no tub). No breakfast offered, so you’ll need to eat out or order in.

Feels luxurious without the high price! Would definitely stay again.

This is a gem of a boutique hotel, about 2 easy walking blocks from the cruise terminal and convenient walking distance to all the food and shopping your heart desires. We stayed 2 nights in a king suite and 2 double suite. The hotel accommodated our request to have rooms next to each other, along with being quickly responsive to inquiries prior to our arrival. Our suites were well appointed, in great condition, with comfortable beds, and thoughtful amenities. Nespresso, microwave, mini-fridge, bottled water, tea, and access to a gym and pool as part of the city club that the hotel resides with. This hotel does it better than a lot of globally brands, at a very reasonable cost, in a can’t beat location.

Wheelchair accessible city view suite

We stayed at the Auberge for 4 nights pre cruise. We booked direct with the hotel and reserved a city view wheelchair accessible suite. There are 2 accessible suites at the hotel. We looked at lots of hotels (possible all the hotels in vancouver!) and found the layout of the bathroom worked well for us. The hotel were very patient with all my questions and also provided photos to help us. We booked a year in advance and could cancel up to 24 hours before with no penalties.

The hotel is perfectly located, a short walk to the cruise ship terminal and the waterfront station for the tram from the airport (although with a wheelchair and luggage we decided to take a taxi to and from the airport).
We walked everywhere from the hotel including gas town, china town, Stanley Park and granville island (via the aqua bus).

There is no restaurant at the hotel but the suite had a kitchen with kettle, coffee machine, sink, fridge and microwave. As we were trying to steer clear of covid before our cruise testing we tended to get take out rather than eat out. There were plenty of places nearby that did take out, including a 24 hour bakery/coffee shop just down the road.

We were worried about noise in the city, but we're able to sleep with the windows open and it was not too noisy.

The bathroom was perfect for my wheelchair using hubby. We only found a few hotels with accessible bathrooms that had a handrail to each side of the loo (North America standards don't seem to include a drop down rail which we need, and the Auberge had this and a further horizontal rail to the other side).

Staff were great at check in and also helpful with questions and local info throughout our trip.

The hotel has a pool, but I didn't see or use this during our stay.

On the morning of our cruise the close location to the cruise terminal meant I could pop down with our luggage before we checked out of the hotel and made our way to the cruise ship.

If we stay in vancouver again we wil stay at the Auberge again.

A very pleasant 3 star hotel located within walking distance to the Cruise Terminal. However, if you have luggage, a vehicle transfer is recommended.
We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning and end of the cruise.
Official check in is 3.00pm but following the cruise our room was prepared by midday even though the hotel was fully booked and check out is 11.00am.
Service at the Reception Desk is pleasant, efficient and professional. Carl, Amanda and Bette at various times attended to our needs. They were excellent!
We had a King Room which was spacious, clean, light and had all the necessary amenities including a Coffee making machine with capsules, microwave and sink.
The bathroom was modern and spacious and the shower was excellent.
There are 3 trolleys to carry luggage to the room but luggage attendants are hard to find!
There is an excellent Pub (Lions Pub) which is just around the corner and serves a wide variety of food and drinks.
Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Auberge from Oct 10th to the 15th. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the core of downtown Vancouver and within walking distance of all major streets and shops, not to mention Canada Place where the majority of excursions/tours have their pickup point. We had a harbour view suite on the 12th floor and the room was spacious, with a separate sitting area and stunning views of the Port of Vancouver. The bed was too firm and not very comfortable and housekeeping could do a better job of cleaning (ie: vacuuming floors and dusting furniture). The televisions in the room do not have many channels available so if it's raining outside and you don't feel like venturing out you're basically screwed. The pool has re-opened but it was too much of a hassle to use it because you had to enter and leave the pool area fully dressed. Also, the front desk staff are hard to understand and not overly friendly. We gave this hotel four stars because of its location and the views but we would more than likely give a different hotel a try if we ever return to Vancouver. For the price you pay to stay at this hotel they should at least include a free breakfast, better housekeeping and at least one or two front desk staff where English is their first language. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Dear Mare D, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Trip Advisor community on your stay at the Auberge last October. If at any time during your visit you feel that you require additional housekeeping services, please do not hesitate to contact the Front Desk so that they may promptly assist you. The fitness centre and pool are the property of the private club housed in the building, and our guests have the privilege of using those facilities if they wish. Generally there are two Front Desk staff available who are fluent in English and the General Manager is always available to assist you should you have any queries. As for breakfast, there are numerous options within the immediate vicinity and within walking distance that are suitable at every price point and budget. Thanks again for providing us with valuable feedback.

An excellent comfortable stay overall. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Room and bathroom clean. Great central location, easy walking to just about everything central plus the metro train to the airport is only about 5 minutes walk. Nice, friendly staff. Shower is a bit awkward to work out for people not from this part of the World and room has the typical poor lighting of a lot of modern hotels, but it was still a fantastic stay overall!

Excellent location within walking distance of the harbour. Well maintained hotel. You can easily get breakfast in one of the small restaurants opposite the hotel. Excellent rooms.

From the airport you can either take the train (station 2-300 meters) or take a taxi for a fixed fee.

A centrally located high rise hotel that shares its location with the Terminal City Club.
The rooms are spacious, modern and bright with great views of the city and glimpses of the harbour.
A diligent team delivers great customer service and any requests are met with a warm smile and prompt response.
Hotel guest can take advantage of the great fitness centre and oversized swimming pool that are part of the co-located club with an included membership for the duration of your stay.
Convenient to the city centre and harbour front and rooms benefit from double glazing and are impressively quiet at all times.

Five of us stayed at the Auberge in two rooms for two nights prior to a cruise.
There was a mix up between BA and the Auberge and we were unable to have the two bed suites that we were expecting. The hotel was full and as a result we had two suites with a separate bedroom and a living area with a sofa bed. As it was only two nights, this wasn’t a major problem.
The hotel is in a fantastic location in downtown, five minutes from Canada Place (easily walkable, even with suitcases to get to the cruise terminal) and within 10 minutes walk of Gastown and the shops of Robson Street.
There is no bar or restaurant within the hotel but the Lions Pub around the block was good for food and drinks, and Breka Bakery across the road had amazing cakes, pastries and sandwiches (sit in or takeaway).
The rooms were a really good size with a large bathroom with lovely walk in shower.
I had the bedroom, which was comfortable and with a King bed.
I was told that the sofa bed wasn’t that comfortable – springs were sticking through and it creaked really badly. As I say though, it was only for two nights; any longer and we would have requested a different room.
The other downside was the lack of soundproofing from the city noise – at times it was like the windows were open!
Overall, this was a great hotel in an amazing location and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Dear disneyholic_UK, We are pleased to hear that you found our location to be convenient and accessible not only to the cruise ship terminal but also to the myriad of restaurants and cafés near and along the waterfront. Despite the miscommunication from British Airways in regards to your suite, the Front Desk staff always endeavour to accommodate the needs of all our guests and if you make a request, they would have initiated a change in suites if there had been any availability. We sincerely hope it did not inconvenience you and your party in any way. Thank you for the positive comments and we hope your Alaskan cruise was most enjoyable.

If the hotel can’t provide distilled water, there is a Shoppers Drug Mart close by that will most likely sell distilled water. Good luck & hope you enjoy your visit to Vancouver.
