As I sit here sipping my Loft35 peppermint tea in our incredibly comfortable bed, I am feeling compelled to write yet another favourable review for the Fairmont Hotel chain, this time Hotel Vancouver. This gracious historic hotel has the best aura, with beautiful charm and...More
I cannot say enough good things about our trip. The staff at the concierge desk were most helpful with ideas and reservations. The bell captain assistance with those quick in/out needs and the parking next door worked very well for self parking. This is a...More
Although we live locally we still enjoy staying downtown a few times a year. This was our first time staying at the Fairmont Vancouver and she is a grand dame. The Gold Floor lived up to its name. The lounge area on the floor is...More
We were at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver pre cruise to celebrate our 35th anniversary.
It is an older property with all the charm that goes with classy older buildings.
The room was a good size and had a separate walk-in closet with the other amenities...More
The Fairmont Vancouver is a beautiful, well maintained hotel that has outstanding service. What I discovered this trip is how conveniently located they are to the train that goes to the airport for less than $3.00 one way in about 25 minutes. No more taxis...More

The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is centrally located, close to Robson street shopping and many cultural offerings. The lobby features designer shops, including the flagship Louis Vuitton boutique, Gucci, …MoreOmega, and St. John. The hotel has a state-of-the-art health club, indoor pool and Absolute Spa. Vancouver's landmark hotel, the castle in the heart of the city is rich in history, vibrant and cosmopolitan. Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will continue its guest room renovation project. Floors under renovation will be closed with no guest access and construction is limited to 09:30am to 5:30pm, minimizing any impact to guests staying with us. Less

Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also
popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.

Donand - there are plenty of Cafes within 500m walking distance to suit every pocket. One of the best Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten in life is walking distance from Fairmont. It is behind Hyatt. I am forgetting the name but think it was Rue 909 Sushi. Then there is cafe at the crossing while going towards the water front. Again forgetting the name though.
