Nestled in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Executive Hotel Le Soleil earns rave reviews for its central location, ideal for guests eager to explore the city's offerings on foot. The friendly and professional staff are frequently commended for their exceptional service and warm hospitality. The hotel's cleanliness is another highlight, with meticulous rooms and a keen attention to detail. While some guests have noted the rooms' classic charm, a few consider them a tad small or dated. However, many find the hotel to offer good value, complete with a cozy and elegant French-inspired atmosphere, well-appointed rooms, and an on-site restaurant that adds to the appeal.

We love this hotel , it is close to everything, the staff are friendly, and we keep coming back.
We have noticed cut backs over the years, simple things but they added a touch. No morning news paper at our door, turn down no chocolate on the pillow, we must wash our own wine glasses now, no more writing paper or envelopes in the desk, which I always used, and now charging for stored luggage
ie skies , as we usually have just arrived from Whistler. Its the little things that made the difference.

Dear screen72, We love that you love Hotel Le Soleil Vancouver. Our passion behind nurturing quality guest relationships is fueled by discerning guests such as yourself who choose to return and stay with us over and over again. With reference to your mention about the newspaper we do carry copies of the papers in the lobby, however we've noticed that our guests prefer a digital copy to a hard one lately; however if you reach out to me via email (hotel.mgr@hotellesoleil.com) I'll be sure to make notifications on your profile and it'll be delivered to your room on every visit. As for the cleaning of the wine glasses, writing pads, and free temporary storage of luggage all these services are still available and i'll have to the respective department heads look into the matter further to ensure such occurrences are not repeated again. We thank you for choosing Hotel Le Soleil and look forward to welcoming you again soon. Sincerely, Varun Malik

The rooms were clean and nice, nothing too fancy. Bed was a regular full size bed, Tv in bedroom and tv at the little living room. Showers were okay, no tub.
Continental breakfast not what I expected, I prefer the buffet type, but here they make you go into the restaurant downstairs, sit there for the waiters to bring you the choice of coffee or tea and fruit, pastry or yogurt. Not worth the trip there to be honest, you can get something yummier from any of the coffee shops around.
Towels were in good shape.
Personnel was very professional.
Parking is not included and it is about $48 to use the valet or you can use the EasyPark app and park next door (It is paid in advanced with the app)
It is with walking distance from many locations like Canada Place or Stanley Park, and many shops.

Dear Beatriz C, Thank you for taking a moment to share your recent experience at Hotel Le Soleil Vancouver! I'm disappointment to hear that the room option you booked or the breakfast choice wasn't to your liking, I'd suggest calling us directly on your next visit, and our team will be glad to offer you different room options where I'm sure we will be able to find something to your liking. Our restaurant Copper chimney does provide In-room dining as well should you prefer to enjoy your meal in the room. Our valet parking rates are quite competitive with other luxury hotels downtown, valet rates include unlimited in and out privileges, and all vehicles are parked in a secure and monitored parkade accessed only by the hotel staff, that convenience and peace of mind is crucial in comparison to the unsecured discount parkades around the city. We thank you for choosing Hotel Le Soleil and look forward to welcoming you again soon. Sincerely, Varun Malik

We recently stayed here for our weekend at fan expo Vancouver just down the street at the Vancouver convention center. We had breakfast every morning at the restaurant attached to the hotel, “Alouette.” The food was delicious and our server Alexandra was an absolute delight. The staff were all very lovely and though we didn’t need much, were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms we clean and a big plus for us was that the TVs have built in google Chromecast so we could directly stream Netflix or Disney+ from our phone to the television.

The convenience of location of this particular hotel cannot be understated, especially if you are attending a convention. It is only a five minute walk down to Canada Place or the Vancouver convention center. Likewise it is only a 6 to 7 minute walk down to Robson Street and Granville Street for shopping.

The hotel is not exactly what it's advertised on photos and description. There is no pool. The pool belongs to another building and in order to get there you need to get off the hotel and walk to the other building and it's currently closed. There has been no provided coffee or tea in the room and when I asked the front desk, the lady sent me to the London Drugs store 5 blocks far from the hotel to buy coffee pads. There was only 1 sanitization station on main floor next to the front desk and that's all...

This might be my first negative review ever about any hotels i have ever stayed in. Didn’t want to do negative publicity but couldn’t hold sharing some of my thoughts regarding this hotel.

Rooms were very noisy throughout the stay. Expected a little bigger room but was very congested. Customer service provided was very rushed and feels like just felt like throwing people into their rooms as quickly as they could.

Toilet roll was almost already out and wasn’t even changed before Providing the room, Moreover there wasn’t even any backup one. Never expected it from 4 star hotel with so many good reviews. ( PS: I know its easy to ask another one from housekeeping, I m just stating the facts how the room was given at first place).

TV does have chromecast feature so you can watch netflix, prime, disney or any sort of your favourite app by directly connecting through your phone wirelessly. ( Though in regular short stays and business related travels, Nobody watch TV that much nowadays).

The only thing i liked about the hotel was the location of this hotel as it was located at the central downtown which we can have access to almost all shopping malls, Sky train , restaurants etc. (Ironically the only positive thing about hotel isn’t even about hotel itself).

Overall, there are so many better options in downtown Vancouver specially in this price range which could basically fulfil all the basic necessities along with with better overall experience.

Taxi ride from the airport comes with your quarantine reservation, so no crowded shuttle. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our corner suite was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the Indian inspired meals. Along with the variety of snacks provided there wasn't a chance of being hungry! No problem with ordering a vegetarian diet either. Well worth the nightly rate. Glad we didn't take a budget hotel!!!

Le Soleil is the best hotel! I had stayed here over the weekend with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday and this hotel made the occasion even more special. Everything about the hotel had exceeded my expectations and will surely be our #1 hotel to visit. I have never met such kind and accommodating staff that make you feel like they care about you; and not being treated like a ‘customer’, but rather a genuine feeling of care in which they treat you like you are their friend and will go above and beyond to help. The managers and the front desk staff were very quick and informative. They all had big smiles on their faces that made us feel so welcomed and had also taken the time to chat with us while checking us in and had greeted my girlfriend a happy birthday. That small gesture alone, is something we had appreciated very much. The bellmen were also very helpful. They had greeted us at the door and although we had no car to park, they had assisted us with our bags without being asked as our hands were full. The housekeeping staff were also very kind as we would run into them in the hallways sometimes but they would still greet us as they were getting rooms cleaned. The concierge had given us great suggestions on where to eat and what to do in the city as we were there for a concert the first night but had no idea what to do for the second, and with his suggestions, it made the second day a lot easier to plan. The location of the hotel made it very easy for us to get a lot done, and see Vancouver in such a short amount of time. The Alouette Bistro also had amazing food! Also, big thanks to the managers for the wine, it was a pleasant surprise! We enjoyed staying at Le Soleil very much and we will surely be back!

I enjoyed my stay at Le Soliel like I usually do except the lady who checked me commented that my ID was dull unlike other people's IDs which are much brighter. Maybe it was the fact that my leather wallet was a little worn, that I was carrying a scuffed up hockey bag and that my suitcase had a small tear. For a few moments I felt like she tried to make me feel like I was below her standard in a 'sweetly snotty' kind of way. I had called ahead to say I would be arriving earlier than the check in time and to ask if I could store my bags until check in time but the man on the phone advised he could have a room ready for me when arrived just after the lunch hour. This early check in service was above and beyond and very appreciated. The room they gave me was on the 7th floor which appeared to be a staging area where housekeeping folds their clean loads of bedding and towels throughout the day. This must be the floor where staff either a) send early check ins or b) keep people who the snotty front desk staff deem aren't high enough class. The cleaning staff who I chatted up in the hallway while they folded the towels and bedding were incredibly kind and friendly and made me feel very welcome. As usual, the room was great. The sink was slow draining.

I booked this for one night celebrating my birthday d/t. The hotel is small, but charming. Staff were friendly in both the hotel and adjacent restaurant, where I had breakfast. It’s in the heart of d/t within walking distance of virtually anything. On the down side, valet parking was $48/night. After using it, I realized there was public parking across the street for $6 evenings and weekends, which I could have used. When I contacted the hotel prior to booking to ask the parking cost, I was told there was only valet parking. It would have been appreciated if the public parking had been mentioned. $42 is a big difference. The hotel also charges a $7 resort fee, although I wasn’t told of any amenities. The desk clerk gave a voucher for a small, but adequate breakfast, which offset the cost.

Dear Evelyn, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and wonderful comments about the hotel and your trip to the city. We strive to provide nothing but the best guest experience, and I'm happy to see that reflected your visit. Whilst our valet parking rates are competitive with our luxury hotels in downtown Vancouver, I wouldn't recommend the $6 parking across the street from the hotel as the parkade isn't secure, or patrolled by any security personnel, there have been unfortunate incidents where patrons have parked their vehicles overnight enticed by the $6 fee only to find out that their car has been broken into or damaged which at the end resulted in a higher cost that could've been avoided. We thank you for choosing Hotel Le Soleil, and look forward to welcoming you again soon. Sincerely, Varun Malik

My husband and I booked our stay at this hotel for our mandatory 3 days quarantine. We booked a corner king size suite. The decor seemed a little dated, nevertheless the room was comfortable. The room doesn’t have a balcony, which is a con but the living room and the bedroom is spacious enough for you move around freely and stretch. Additionally, the hotel served descent quality, large portion meals. The staff( housekeeping and the front office ) were very responsive to our needs. A special shout out to, Marvin from the front office. :)
