Peaks Hotel and Suites is often lauded for its serene setting that is still conveniently close to local attractions, although occasional noise can be a concern. The rooms are modern, fostering an inviting atmosphere with an emphasis on cleanliness that guests consistently applaud. Despite the praise for location and service, with staff noted for their attentiveness, some guests question the value due to the high cost and additional charges for certain amenities. Amenities like underground parking are appreciated, yet there is a mix of on-site and off-site facilities.

We stayed at the peaks lodge as part of a planned tour for birthday and retirement celebrations. What an amazing place to stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Booked trips for us and always on hand with a friendly welcome. Snug area to sit as a group or simply chill. Tea/ coffee in snug 24/7. Never have I seen such hospitality. And now the rooms.... they were idyllic. Spacious, spotless and just breath taking. We were ground floor at the corner so view was restricted but not a complaint when you can walk out front or back door and u are looking up at the most amazing scenery. It was very peaceful and although we opted for no service the guy still checked in to see if we needed anything. Just lovely. Location was great. A short walk and you had everything at hand. Shops, restaurants and transport. My only regret is our staff was too short (3 nights). If I ever get the opportunity to travel to Canada again then Banff will be my base and definitely the Peaks will be my choice. Thank u to everyone there who made this trip one of a lifetime. And well done everyone for such and amazing place to stay x Edith Hull

Celebrated our anniversary here and would do so again! Great location around the corner from Banff avenue, the square, and about a block from the Bow river parkway. Easy access to public transport (if needed for busier season), but we enjoyed the ability to park in the underground "heated" garage that has its own car wash! Opt-out of daily cleaning and get vouchers for use at the restaurant in Banff Park Lodge across the street - had an excellent/quiet dinner meal there. The construction of the property is ideal for privacy, especially the loft and balcony units on top floors - very little adjoining walls/ceilings to potentially deal with noise from other guests. Free coffee, tea, cocoa in lobby 24/7. Late April was excellent time to visit Banff; while the water bodies are still frozen, it's gorgeous and great weather to enjoy along with lesser crowds (mostly local AB tourism). Peaks made your experience all the more pleasurable! Thanks!!

Family of 5 staying in a one bedroom suite, the option for a family of our size. The staff were really good here, nice and helpful, couldn't have better. The hotel is a 'sister' hotel to the park lodge across the road and if you want breakfast, the gym or pool, you go over there but none of these interested us too much so wont comment. The carpark underground ($18/day) is very helpful if you have a car, secure and it also has a wash area for free so you can hose off all the snow! Our suite was on the 4th floor, and the corridor for rooms on this floor is open air, kind of irritating when it was minus 25 but not a major issue, just run from the elevator. The room admittedly is a bit small for us. Two double beds in one room with no window, and a foldout couch in the main room. There was a fridge and microwave. The bathroom is too small for a room with two queens. The toilet roll goes into the bin, the bench is not big enough to put toiletries and the towel holder is on the opposite wall so water goes everywhere. The shower is also ridiculously complex to operate until you figure it out - I imagine several people have to ring front desk. In saying all of this, the bathroom is the only grievance, and I would still stay at this hotel again as it did everything else well. The location is very good, as you can just walk the two streets to the main street. Some of the hotels further than this could get tiring when its snowing and as cold as it was during our stay. The IGA supermarket is only a few mins walk if you need. Bluebird restaurant next door was good (although Banff has a lot of good restaurants to choose from). The laundry in the ground floor had 2 washers and one drier, $5/wash, $3/dry. These are often in use but still, a handy asset Overall, we were quite happy with this hotel and would recommend for a young family. A bigger family may need two rooms.

We recently stayed here and had a mixed experience. I had high expectations of this place because of the reviews. I was really looking forward to staying here. I will start with the positives. Connor at the front desk was great at both check in and check out. The location is amazing. Although there is no on site restaurant we enjoyed being able to have so many options close to us. The room was more spacious than the pictures implied. I always enjoy underground parking at hotels in Banff and Canmore. Parking was not included like some other places we stayed at and was 18 dollars a day. The parkade spots are tight but we have a truck and it was fine. Now the negatives. Our room was disappointing. We booked last minute so didn't have much options to choose from so got a limited view king. We got a room on the second floor. The view was fine you could actually see the mountains from our window. Our first issue was that our sink did not drain. It would fill up and take about 5 minutes to drain. We were offered another room in the same category but it was in a really poor location on the first floor right next to the lobby. We decided we would just stay in the room with the cruddy drain since we expected the other room to be noisy. Speaking of noise if you are a light sleeper like I am you will most likely be woken up by the garbage truck that goes down the back alley every morning. Our second disappointment came when we went to get into bed. I usually check the sheets as soon as we get into a place but after driving a few hours just wanted to eat and relax. Our sheets ended up having stains and hairs on them. Hairs happen I know and can come from anywhere while making the beds and stuff it was just odd they were all on one side. It was long after house keeping left so we just dealt with it. If we stayed here again I would hope for clean sheets and a fully functioning room. We made sure when we were leaving that the front desk would make a note for maintenance to fix the sink so the next guest wouldn't have the same issue. I do not think the girl who was going to give us a new room made a note when we mentioned it to her. I would also get a preferred view to avoid the alley noise. I really did like this hotel but the issues with our room made it disappointing.

I understand this is the peak season in banff, but if we are paying $700 per night per room, at least show me some respect as a customer indicate that you care and treat us like human beings so that we will be back next year. What I'm seeing in this hotel was merely competeable to Airbnb we stayed in Canmore. Nothing other than towel was provided not even bottled water despite the fact it does not cost you more than $5 for 2 bottled water just to show you care. All the staff member we're super friendly and helpful but the hotel itself is horrible experience and i will never go back to it as long as there are any other hotel vacant. Matter of fact, this experience has caused me serious thoughts of never to return to banff anymore even though Banff had been backyard choice from time to time. Its just not the same anymore

Hi MonicagM6587DX, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding your recent stay at our hotel. We truly value your comments as they help us to continually improve our services and offerings. We are disappointed to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We strive to provide exceptional service and accommodations to all our guests, and it is disheartening to learn that we fell short during your stay. Banff Alberta National Park has a well-deserved reputation for being a bit more expensive compared to other tourist destinations. This is primarily due to the high demand for accommodations, limited availability, and the park's commitment to preserving its delicate ecosystem. As such, prices for accommodations, activities, and dining options may be higher than average. We understand your concerns regarding the amenities provided in the room, and we appreciate your feedback on this matter. As an environmentally friendly hotel, we have made a conscious decision not to offer complimentary bottled water in the rooms. Instead, we encourage guests to utilize the water refilling station located at the coffee/tea station on the main floor in the Aurora room and the tap water is safe to drink, meeting the guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality. We regret that this aspect of our eco-friendly policy was not communicated clearly to you upon your arrival. We will take your feedback into consideration and work on improving our communication with guests regarding our hotel amenities. To avail yourself of our personalized support, we kindly request that you reach out to us either via email or phone call before making your reservation. This will allow our team to understand your preferences, requirements, and any special requests you may have, ensuring that we can provide you with the ideal accommodation tailored to your needs. Despite the setback, I hope that you were still able to enjoy the beauty of the Rockies in Banff. Please know that your comfort and satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us, and we appreciate your understanding. Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts with us. If you have any further comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Kind regards, Lalanie C. Front Office Manager

Conveniently located in Banff, Peaks is a smaller, visitor-friendly hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable. A lounge near the front desk features 24-hour coffee or tea. Although the place has no dining facility of its own, within 2 or 3 blocks are restaurants featuring almost any kind of cuisine. Because many of the main streets are pedestrian malls, nearly everything in central Banff is within a 10-15 minute walk. The surrounding Rockies are ubiquitous and gorgeous. Convenient, reasonably priced bus service will take you to nearly every site you might desire to see. In town you won't need a car.

The Hotel room doors are not automatic and the doors are very heavy to open on your own. The bathroom is fantastic for someone in her wheelchair. All the hooks for hanging up your jacket, or your towels are 6 feet off the floor. The bed is about 6 inches too high for anyone to get into that is in a chair

The property was modern, well lit and the staff were helpful. Our checkin and checkout experience was smooth. Checking out via just dropping the room keys in the elevator box meant ducking off for early tours easy. We stayed here twice and would recommend it to those traveling to Banff. It is an easy walk to the town center and worth the extra price for a more modern stay.

We visited Banff for our honeymoon, the hotel left us a very pleasant experience, it is a new hotel, the decor and facilities very tasteful and impeccable, very comfortable. It is located in the center of Banff, a few steps from restaurants, convenience stores and shops to buy souvenirs. The hotel has facilities that give you a very pleasant plus as a living room for all guests with coffee, tea and hot chocolate always available, also has a coin washer and dryer. The room had a coffee maker with coffee capsules, a refrigerator and enough space to store all winter clothes, etc.
The highlight of the visit at the hotel was the welcome and all recommendations of Valeria on the front desk, she was extremely warm since our arrival, with an open and available attitude to make recommendations, to improve our stay and to move with confidence in the area of Banff and its surroundings, definitely an outstanding attitude, super grateful with their recommendations.

Loved the location of the hotel. It’s within walking distance to fabulous restaurants, the river and the ski bus picks you up 50 feet from reception. It was a quiet and comfortable room - except for the pillows. I’m a bit of a “pillow snob” and these pillows were lumpy and hard… a feather pillow or something more squishy would have been lovely. Otherwise, it was a perfect trip in Banff. We’ll be back, but we’ll bring our own pillows 😉
