Brilliant experience at one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Staff are impeccable and the service is second to none. The building is luxurious and the rooms are small but you are paying for the experience. The beds are super comfortable and I recommend the day spa and the cocktail classes as well as happy time at the Rundle bar.

I am not sure how all these previous reviews are so positive. We had probably the WORST experience in a hotel here at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Paying so much and getting horrible service was just absurd. We would never recommend this Fairmont to anyone. I am grateful we did have a manger, Emma, try to make sure the rest of our stays with Jasper Fairmont and Lake Louise Fairmont were better but our experience was ruined and we will avoid booking with a Fairmont again. When you pay so much for a hotel and assume that this will have a world class experience, it stings a lot more when there is a failure in service at every level. Let's start with our issues: 1- Our room was not cleaned well, there was a one random slipper left behind the door as well as dirt under the credenza. When we did another search after our complaints, we found a random orange ball under the drapes. My 9 month old was playing on that FILTHY floor that appears to not ever be vacuumed. We are still in a pandemic, I would hope for better cleanliness. 2- We requested extra toiletries because there were 4 adults in the suite. Never received them for hours until we asked a cleaner in the hallway. She told us she could not help us because we had to call again. The cleaner in the hallway did give us some towels but they were DIRTY (I did not take a picture but it was disgusting). My husband said who ended up delivering the extra toiletries later was "scary" and "unfriendly". 3- We asked for tape to cover an outlet so that the crib for my baby was safer as it was against a wall with an outlet, we were told they couldn't help us (apparently did not have tape) 4- The ice bucket in the room had a broken handle. Not sure how someone can clean the room and think leaving that is a good idea. 5- Our power went out the second morning as we were sitting enjoying the morning in our filthy room. I had to go to the front desk to have them turn it back on as we had no phone in the room. After reported the outage, maintenance came in to check and asked us what we did to have the power go out. Excuse me? Thank you for blaming us when we literally did nothing. Please avoid wasting your money at a Fairmont. It was a ruined experience.

Scott berry Tour guide We had a private one day tour and it was amazing Scott is very good company and a great expert on all aspects of the area. He took us to all the best places and as requested not too much hiking. We really enjoyed our experience from that day and have good memories of a beautiful place. He is highly recommended by us

Tea in the Rundle Bar - so special! The setting couldn’t be any more spectacular. The teas, scones, finger sandwiches & assortment of sweets were stunning & delicious. The whole experience, including the warm greeting & service provided by Fiona & Kyle, will be a treasured memory for me, my sister & mom. Thank you!

The title of my review only needs one word as it says it all. This hotel draws you in on the drive through town as it starts to peak through the trees and from the minute you arrive and the team at the door take care of everything until you sadly leave to go to the airport you are pampered and spoiled and reminded that great service can still be had even as we work through this never-ending pandemic. Room - great size with air conditioning that kept us cool during a heat wave. Bathroom was a little awkward but functional and fine as we aren't living there just staying for a few days. Housekeeping and turn-down service was efficient. Activities - if you can book the wilderness walk with Isabelle. She is fantastic and I learned so much about wildlife and Banff. She is an asset to the hotel and Fairmont Brand and I wish we had time to do other excursions with her. Hotel History Tour - really interesting - learned a lot and also saw parts of the hotel we might not have otherwise seen. Spa - one of the best I have ever been to, and I am a spa lover who regularly goes at home and on vacations. I did a 90-minute deep tissue massage and Johanna was incredible. I would recommend her to anyone. She helped with my problem areas and was a lovely person to chat with. I used all the facilities at the spa - from sauna to pools to hot tubs and actually fell asleep in one of the relaxation areas on one of the chairs because I was so relaxed. Golf - my husband golfed twice and thought the course was great. Challenging and unique and got to see some bears which was a bonus. I did the golf driving range and it was one of the nicest I have been to. Fantastic service at the course and easy shuttle back and forth to the hotel. Meals - we did breakfast and snacks at Stock Food and Wine. The sandwiches were delicious, pastries were incredible and the bacon and cheese scone I ate each morning I am still thinking about and wish I could have the recipe (though I doubt it would ever taste as good). Dinner - we ate both nights at the Rundle Bar patio. We wanted something casual and to be outside to enjoy the view and the weather. Great menu which added to the incredible scenery surrounding the patio. We can't wait to return and although we have stayed at many hotels we loved during our travels we always remind ourselves that there are so many other places in the world we want to go to and often don't go back to the same place. But we will be making an exception to our rule for this hotel and can't wait to return.

My octogenarian mother’s long-held dream was to travel on the Rocky Mountaineer and visit old friends out west. I encouraged her to seize the day and planned a luxurious getaway for us both. We rented a Mercedes SUV from Calgary and set off for the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel for a few nights, before boarding our train. We generally never splurge on valet service, but the kid-glove treatment from the folks at the front came in very handy. A flight delay almost made us miss our dinner reservations at the lovely Swiss Waldhaus Restaurant, behind the hotel. They instantaneously parked the car, brought in our luggage and popped my disabled mom and me into a golf card to get us there comfortably and expeditiously. They even had a shuttle bus waiting, just as we were ready to leave. I kid you not, it was ‘Radar’ like service (for all you M*A*S*H fans)! After our meal we checked in and were put into a ‘wheelchair accessible’ room outside of the main building. Despite my disappointment at being ‘off campus’ as it were, I tried to keep an open mind. Sadly, the room was underwhelming at the eye-watering rates necessary during high season at this landmark institution. Don’t get me wrong, the view was great, but the room satisfactory at best. The main issue though was the magical mystery tour to get there. Technically it was scalable with loads of time and perhaps an electric wheelchair or savvy/youthful aid, but I’d advise this extended wing be a better bastion for those quite able, fit and wanting a good amount of privacy. By morning, we realized the gauntlet was too much to manage for every meal, as well as getting repeated access to hotel facilities and grabbing our vehicle. After a bit of discussion at the front desk about capacity issues, etc. manager, Emma (extraordinaire) stepped in. This is when you find out what Fairmont service is truly all about! We were elevated to an incredibly large and beautiful room that also had a jaw-dropping view. We were compensated generously for the inconvenience and all staff took great pains in making the rest of our visit absolutely flawless. Sure, it would have been great to avoid any hiccups, but they made it right and then some, immediately. I’m sure it took a bit of juggling, but when things go wrong, you really find out what a stellar brand is truly made of. Of course, the facilities themselves are like something out of a fairy tale. This grand dame is definitely an experience that must be added to any bucket list worth dreaming about. The amazing views, grounds, restaurants, spas, pools, bar, golf course, common areas, etc., etc. should not be missed. The nearby village is its own little idyll too. The rest of our stay was nothing less than perfect (and trust me, Mom’s not an easy lady to please)! I applaud the FBSH for their amazing responsiveness and for making lemons into the sweetest lemonade ever. It must be difficult to manage a hotel that size, whilst keeping everyone happy at peak season, but they accomplished that and much more. Air Canada can take a few tips from these professionals. To that end, Fairmont has always been a favourite brand of ours and continues to be. They are a luxury brand and thus a bit pricier than some options, but worth every penny. Thanks to all the staff that went the extra mile and made sure this special trip memorable for my mother and I, for all the right reasons. Kudos to you all and keep up the fabulous work – my husband and I will be back to this and other Fairmont properties, as soon as we possibly can!

I went there for an afternoon tea during my last vacation in Banff, I imagined myself in Buckingham Palace, it’s an unforgettable experience, everything was perfect. If you go to Banff It really worth it, the price is quite reasonable regarding the service, the taste pleasure and above all the scenery you have in front of you while you enjoying your tea and all the sweeties that come with.

We had a wonderful stay. Although we ran into a few problems related to noise from room renovations and a wedding, the gold team handled it in an efficient manner. I especially want to thank manager Amelie for making sure the rest of our stay was smooth, even going out of the way to inform us of a road closure to Jasper where we were headed (saving us from being stuck en route for 7-9 hours) and extending the check out time. She is one of the best hotel managers we have encountered in our travels! The gold lounge spread has a good selection to suit various needs and tastes. If you have time to visit the spa, it has an indoor mineral pool surrounded by other smaller pools of various temperatures. Even when the the hotel was near capacity, the spa pool was not crowded at all. There is a nice trail to run along the river just a short distance from the hotel.

Fairmont Banff springs hotel was a great place to stay. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. We stayed as a gold member. Someone from the front desk met us at our car when we pulled up, had us checked in and showed us to our room. Our bags arrived as we were being shown our room. Gold lounge offered a great breakfast and canapés in the evening which were also delicious. The front desk was very helpful with all of our questions and gave us great recommendations. On check out they brought down our luggage within 10 minutes. I compare this to chateau lake Louise. We felt everything including food and promptness were so much better at Banff Springs.

The rooms are great. Large enough and very clean. Our view was of the flat roof, but other than that it was great. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and to our surprise there was champagne and dessert waiting in our room along with a sweet card signed by the staff/management. This was so appreciated! It made our stay special. We ate at the Vermillion restaurant and our waiter, Terry, was just awesome. He made our meal so enjoyable. We were treated to a dessert with the meal to celebrate our anniversary. High tea was wonderful. The tea and food was so good, The staff at the High Tea was informative and fun. Thank you to all in the hotel that made our stay so memorable!
