The hotel is very nice, its on the main avenue so you can walk anywhere you want too, its close to the restaurants and shops. The room had very nice view, and the bed and pillows were comfortable, the sleep was very nice. There is hardly parking on the premises, so prepare to drive several blocks away to find parking, if you do find make sure its not on a designated place, and you also need to pick up your car early if its parking in residential area. The breakfast was very nice. The working stuff was also very nice, polite and professional, I definitely recommend this place.

We stayed for 3 nights: the room was clean and spacious and comfortable (we particularly liked the huge shower), the breakfasts were delicious, with a good selection of things to try, and the staff were helpful and friendly throughout. The location of the hotel is really good for getting anywhere you need to go and there is a nice cafe in the foyer with delicious coffee and cakes, so you can sit outside and watch the world go by. We would definitely stay there again!

Originally selected this property due to the location and great reviews; unfortunately, the overnight stay proved to be very disappointing. The hotel is not equipped with in-room air conditioning, and despite using the fans they provided while keeping the drapes closed, the room remained unbearably hot. Sadly, it felt like a sauna in Room 111. Additionally, the shower was not cleaned properly as there was still clumps of hair on the floor from the previous guest. Nevertheless, their staff was kind and accommodating. Will likely choose a different property in the future where the A/C is operational.

Wonderful stay at the banff aspen lodge. Room had a balcony with a great view of banff and the mountains. We also had a courtyard on the other side overlooking the hot tub. It was hot, so I had the window open I was a little concerned having it open sleeping right in front of it when everyone could walk right on by. Parking situation was awful, very tight, but had a spot for the 2 nights we were there. Breakfast was really good. Great location for walking to all the shops and reautarants in downtown banff

This was the start of our tour, before taking the Rocky Mountaineer. It was probably one of the only hotels that doesn't look like a ski lodge but the outside is deceiving as the rooms etc are beautiful. We were lucky to have two superior rooms which included two separate rooms with bathroom between them and all the mod-cons from a microwave to a fancy coffee maker. We had fab views of the mountains too. Staff were very helpful and friendly and offered advice when requested. Close enough to walk along the main street to the restaurants and shops.

This hotel has undergone significant renovations since my last visit in September 2017. I continue to highly recommend this place as your base camp for a fun time in Banff. Based on my recent experience, I have two recommendations: 1. Ask for a top floor room. 2. Ask for a room away from the main street. I wasn't bothered by the noise when I was in the living room, but some may want a more peaceful experience. Light sleepers should consider bringing ear plugs because the bedrooms face the inner courtyard and you will definitely be able to hear people walking to their rooms/using the hot tub.

Well, this was our last stop on our 2 week fly drive holiday in BC and Alberta before flying back from Calgary to the UK. We had enjoyed Tofino and VC as our favourite stopovers and I kind of wondered why we had 3 nights in Banff. Now Banff is our favourite place of the holiday. And some of this is in part due to Aspen Lodge. A central hotel on the main thoroughfare into the main high street of shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great room with a sofa and space to relax in once you’d come back from sightseeing. The balcony with rooftop views of the mountains with a pretty Canadian lodge type hotel opposite to look at was really special. The cool pool was closed which was a shame but we did venture into the hot pool and steam room for a relax before a meal in the centre. Parking on site for free was great. Continental type breakfast was absolutely fine. Waiting staff were very friendly. This hotel gave us such a good base to make the most of Banff. Loved it. We would love to come back when it snows!

Our first trip to Banff our travel agent booked us into Banff Aspen Lodge . It’s in a great location on Banff Avenue so shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Rooms are well equipped and spotless you can opt out of housekeeping if you want. Breakfast is buffet style and for us was adequate with fresh hot and cold options would definitely return
