Our family had a great two night stay in a three bedroom chalet. It was tiny, but accommodated our family of four adults and two small kids. We enjoyed the deck and the fireplace and we’re able to make a few of our own meals. The outdoor hot tub was also great. The waterslides and pool were not as much fun as we hoped. The kids (2 and 4) were two small for the waterslides and there really wasn’t much pool space otherwise. Housekeeping was very helpful with a couple of questions we had and we really appreciated the maintenance person who helped with our smoking fireplace.

Went for a family weekend getaway from Calgary for September long weekend and was very disappointed with the hotel. This once beautiful resort where we have stayed at for many years was run down and appears to be going out of business. Rooms were not well maintained:TV, furnace and toaster not working. Appeared like no one has been in the room for years, yet told we had to leave that morning as new guests were arriving that afternoon. Place was a ghost town. Maybe 10 cars in whole resort yet sign said “No Vacancy”. Neighboring hotels were packed with people, grounds were beautiful, one resort was hosting a wedding but not our resort. Only plus we’re the waterslides as best in Banff. Desk staff as per other reviews did not want to be bothered by guests and definitely were not welcoming or hoping for guests to come back. We left wondering if the resort has been sold or going bankrupt. Would recommend staying somewhere else until resort is improved as price was not much better than other hotels in the area.

So disappointed. Stayed here for 3 nights in July 2021 with our young kids. While we knew there would be restrictions with covid in advance (the play area was closed), I wish they would have been upfront on the website that you only get one 30-minute time slot for the pool per day- it just wasn't quite enough time for the kids. However, the real thing that bothered me (and reason for the 1-star review) was how rude and condescending the staff was. We dealt with 5 different employees over the course of our stay and 4 of them were rude to us for no reason. They were behaving as if we were an inconvenience. Just going to the counter to check in, book a pool time, or to ask how the bus passes worked seemed to be a problem for them. Both my husband and I had the same experience with different employees. Our room itself was fine- I wasn't expecting anything fancy based on the pictures or reviews I had read. In fact, I prefer to stay somewhere where everything isn't new and shiny, given our young kids. But for $300/night I definitely expected better overall- especially since there were so few amenities due to covid (keep in mind, our stay was after covid restrictions had been lifted provincially). Our TVs didn't work, but the employee they sent to fix them was the one great employee we met, and he had the issue fixed quickly. Still, I just felt like they did not want us there. So they don't need to worry, we won't be back...

Booked on line for six nights. BBQ area cannot be used, due to COVID despite it is after July 1 . No house keeping services, again COVID. Hotel is dated and is need of repairs. in our studio , dishwasher not working, cupboards doors lose, toilet leaking. When questioned as to full summer rates and no service front desk smiles and blames COVID. Would not recommended this hotel. Given the choices in Banff we will stay elsewhere for a similar rate,

This resort is completely outdated, they did not change our sheets or clean our room once during our stay, and when my pregnant fiancé phoned about getting towels, the manager verbally harassed her about a pool time that we missed by accident and hung up on her. When I confronted them about this incident they they responded with "we are no impressed with you". The Douglas fir doesn't Seem to care about there guests from My experience. I will not be staying here again.
