This B&B is as good as it gets. We stayed three nights in the Master Suite which was huge with a private balcony. Bathroom was large with all sorts of extra touches and a nice jacuzzi. There are three large "lounges" where you can sit, watch TV, read, listen to music or just chill, look across the harbour to Charlottetown and check out the cruise ships. Stratford is a nice community and only a 5 minute drive into Charlottetown. Shirley is a delight and her breakfasts are out of this world. No need to eat again until dinner! This experience was completely first class. Beautiful house. It doesn't get better than the Boathouse. Thanks Shirley!!!!

Wow! Where to start! Shirley makes your stay memorable. You arrive as strangers and leave as family. Shirley is super nice, full of knowledge of the local area and can give you some helpful suggestions. Breakfast is fabulous but very relaxed. The views from her B&B are worth the stay but then when you see your accommodations you won’t want to leave. Her B&B is super clean, and tastefully decorated. Our visit to PEI was made special by her attention to details and her warm and friendly personality.

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay for two nights at the Boathouse from July 31 to August 2, 2016, during our first trip to the Maritimes. Let me just say that this was the best B&B at which we had the pleasure of staying during our vacation. The room was impeccably clean and elegant, the location and view from both our personal deck and the main one overlooking the Hillsborough River and the Charlottetown harbour were stunning, and Shirley's scrumptious regal breakfasts laid out as works of art on our plates were just too good for words. In addition, the home is so beautiful and luxurious that we felt like royalty. The level of attention to detail is beyond reproach. There is so much more that can be said about our amazing experience, but for now we will be recommending The Boathouse to absolutely all of our family and friends who may think about planning a trip to PEI. Thank you, Shirley, for an unforgettable stay!

We stayed here for 4 nights in the Master Suite and it was just wonderful! The room is luxurious! Shirley is a wonderful host, very friendly! Breakfast every morning was amazing, 3 course meals and we left feeling full for hours! The location is gorgeous. The private deck off our room was also great. We definitely had a wonderful time and had some good laughs and learned a very important lesson: to check on the host when the fire alarm goes off! LOL. We met some wonderful people while staying at this B&B as well. Shirley welcomes you into the B&B and you feel like you are coming "home" every day, not just to a B&B. We will most definitely be back!

What a wonderful B&B Shirley has. The view over the water which comes right up to the garden is beautiful. The house itself has been lovingly restored and is a lovely place to stay. We stayed in the Master Suite which overlooked the water, had its own deck, was really spacious with a seating area, an extremely comfortable bed, a huge bathroom and dressing room! What luxury! Shirley is a welcoming host and her breakfasts are superb! If we were ever to return to PEI we would certainly stay at The Boathouse again.
