Lovely B& B with eagerly accommodating hosts. Rooms are lovely. Breakfast was filling and presented beautifully. Very quiet and easily accessible to Charlottetown via car Be aware that in partially above ground basement. Steps down. Nicely appointed kitchen area and living room. Dehumidifier and fans take care of any concerns given a basement area.

We visited this B&B for 2 nights in Sept and it was really lovely! Beautifully appointed, comfy bed! Our room was lovely with a big bathroom and all the toiletries (Aveda...yay) included. Even a razor and shaving cream! Breakfast was amazing and beautifully presented! Our hosts were very welcoming and so friendly! It was nice to be just outside the hustle and bustle of Charlottetown proper but so close as well.
I highly recommend this B&B.
Don't think, just book!

The B&B is clean and spacious (it looks exactly as shown as in the pictures!). It is located about 5 minute drive from downtown Charlottetown. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and they really do try to accommodate you and your needs. My wife and I had a really good stay. The breakfast was served at 8:30 (at our request), consisting of bacon, scrambled egg and home made potatoes with fresh fruits. We found the wireless internet to be fast. All the furnishings in the B&B looked new and spotless. It met all of our expectations and more. Overall, highly recommended for when visiting Charlottetown!

Beware! There is obviously a problem with organization at this b and b. We made a reservation for 2 rooms at this b and b for tonight, August 9.. This afternoon we arrived at 4 pm only to find there was no reservation for our us. We had booked, providing our Visa number, a month in advance and had made contact with this establishment August
3. Can you imagine our surprise when we went to the door of this house, which incidentally has need of a new paint job, only to be met by a lady who could not find any paperwork in our names. We, along with another couple, from Tennessee, were planning to spend the night here, and go to see Charlottetown and the musical, Anne of Green Gables, tomorrow. Charlottetown is in the height of its tourist season and there were no rooms available at any of the hotels with the exception of one in Stratfort that we went to see and decided it did not meet our standards. It was perhaps an ok motel 60 years ago but the room smelled stuffy and the decor left a lot to be desired. The desk clerk was more than courteous and told me she had heard that Serendib had had other customers who arrived only to find there were no reservations. Apparently we are not the first ones to suffer this lack of organization.
There was absolutely no professionalism showed to us at this b and b and we certainly want to make other potential customers to be aware that you may be like us and end up stuck with no room for the night. We are extremely disappointed given that there have been some good reviews. What we saw did not impress us.
We left PEI this afternoon with a very bad taste in our mouths. It ruined our 2 day outing with our friends not to mention the inconvenience and the embarrassment as we were the hosts and the organizers. All 4 of us are seniors and had a long day of driving to get to PEI and to drive around the scenic coastal areas and certainly were looking forward to a relaxing evening at a nice b and b. Instead we had a long drive back home and are terribly disappointed with the b and b.

The owners are extremely kind and hospitable. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious. The room and bathroom were very luxurious. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting PEI!!!

My boyfriend and I called at the last minute when we decided to stay in PEI for an extra night and they were very accommodating. It is less than 10 minutes to Charlottetown. The rooms, kitchen and living area are newly renovated and absolutely beautiful. The kitchen is stocked with bread, jams, cereals, and juices for guests to access at any time. The family that runs this newly opened B&B are wonderful. They offer a warm breakfast between 8-10am. We told them that we would have to miss breakfast since we were leaving at 7 the next morning and we were pleasantly surprised by a breakfast to go in the morning consisting of homemade banana breads, yogurts, fruit and juices. Truly a great stay, I would recommend to anyone!

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of July. I thought from the picture it was a secluded spot but it is on a fairly busy road just over the bridge from Charlottetown. The rooms are in the basement but they are bright and very clean. I doubt you will find a cleaner place in all of PEI.

Kamal and his wife are exceptionally nice and both make a great breakfast. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is great. We basically just slept here as were exploring the island all day. I would recommend this place for something a little different. I appreciate the pride they put into keeping a place so clean and the hospitality they offered.

Serendib is the best place we've stayed on our trip through the Carolinas, Virginia, New York, Maine, and Canada. The B&B occupies the entire lower floor of this home, and it will be your spacious and private retreat! (We had planned to stay only one night but quickly decided to extend our stay.) In addition to the bedroom and spacious en suite bath, there is an open eating area, mini-kitchen with snacks and treats, and a roomy living room area. And, be prepared for an unforgettable breakfast! Kamal, the owner, is a trained chef, and breakfast was not only delicious, it was beautiful. Located just across the bridge from downtown Charlottetown, the setting is quiet (and parking is easy). Don't miss this wonderful place and delightful family!

Kamal and his wife are sweet, lovely hosts, eager to please and accommodate their guests. Upon arrival, the house is unassuming, nothing more than an ordinary suburban home. But we were quickly greeted and shown to their basement, which is beautifully modified to accommodate their B&B guests. There are 2 guests rooms, a kitchen, a common living room with a TV, a common eating area as well as an exercise room. The basement is cool, quiet and modern.
BUT... We were not staying there. We were escorted to the home's master bedroom, which has been made into another guest room. The bed is clean and comfortable, and includes a coffee maker and microwave and such, but it's not as private as downstairs. Nor is it as cool . We needed to keep the windows open, but then we heard the noise from the busy road. We also could hear the family doing their everyday business, and we had to walk through their kitchen and family room to get to the basement go eat with the other guests. Sure, the room has a private bathroom, but it is straight out of the 70s and needs updating.
Kamal is a chef, so the breakfasts were great! He also can recommend many great places to eat in town, for the foodies' pleasure!
The location is great, other than being on a noisy, busy road - it's close to town, and close to highway interchanges to take you to all parts of the island.
We were not overly impressed with being upstairs in their home, and our experience would have been totally different had we been offered one of the basement rooms.
If you plan on booking here, I recommend you insist on being in their basement if you want privacy and a more peaceful stay.

This B and B is wonderful. Two of us were in town (one for a conference) and we LOVED staying at Serendib. We felt like we were staying with extended relatives - it was that comfortable! The room had everything we needed, all the storage we needed (and more), and we were in the slightly smaller room! Absolutely beautiful, thoughtful furnishings and tastefully decorated at every turn. The owners believe in providing excellent service. Some examples in the room are, (beyond full service amenities and toiletries) a small memo book instead of loose paper or ugly generic notepad; great palm sized flashlight; 1st aid kit; use of washer and dryer and detergent so you don't have to go home to a pile of laundry! I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but bottom line, this is a phenomenal choice for a stay. Our travels to downtown Charlottetown were extremely easy (we could have gotten there with a good 30 minute walk if we wanted - no big deal), and stratford, Cavendish and more are within an easy drive. The owner is a chef of all things, so the food and presentation are amazing. There is a workout room that I used frequently and it was SO nice not to have to walk to an elevator and all over a hotel to get to it!! Plus, the area itself is plenty conducive to an outdoor morning run or walk. Thanks, Serendib, for making our PEI stay so perfect!
