We "ve just spent a few days here and were very impressed . We stayed in room 8 - the Hardy room and it really was superb . The room is finished to a high standard - the bed was both massive and very comfortable . But what really makes this room are the 2 french windows with Juli

Just got back from another weekend at this lodge. The views never get boring and the accommodation is amazing, clean and well maintained. We’ve stayed twice in the last month, this weekend we took our teenage kids and dogs.

The kids loved it and the dogs are shattered with all

Thank you for your lovely feedback and we're pleased the children enjoyed their first stay. We're very lucky to have quite a few good eateries within walking distance - two good pubs in the village, the very popular Hive Beach Cafe across the field and just a couple of minutes up the cliff path from the cafe, the Seaside Boarding House. If guests like a good walk then there is also the Club House on the back of the beach at West Bexington and also the Manor Hotel.

Chesil Beach Lodge was recommended to us and we couldn't have been more pleased. It was warm, clean, the breakfasts were amazing and every little thing and final touch had been catered for. The views from the windows (we stayed in Golden Cap) were second to none, especially when

Mid-range price but with a luxurious feel. The owners thought of everything so we didn't need to ask for anything extra but got the feeling that had we asked, they'd have gone out of their way to deliver. Homemade chocolate shortbread (replaced after we'd eaten it even though w

I am hoping to book for my friends surprise birthday in November. Would be able to walk safely to the village for our evening meal ?
It is a very busy road and no footpath for most of the route so definitely not a good idea to walk. The route across the fields is steep and when we were there in April the fields were really muddy and slippery so again not a good idea at night.

The Lodge appears (on Google Earth) to overlook a large chalet park - am I correct?
There is a chalet park below right of Chesil beach Lodge, but much of it is not seen due to the lie of the land and Chesil beach Lodge is situated higher with expansive views out to sea and up and down the Jurassic coastline

We would love to come and stay here. But just wondering how easy it would be to get to Hive cafe/ village etc with a pram? We would love a little break as a family of 3. Our baby would be just over 4 months the time we thinking of visiting. Is trail/ paths safe with a baby in a pram? Is there a path along seafront so we can walk along? Thank you
The National Trust field and coastal path between Chesil Beach Lodge and the village beach / Hive Café is not really suitable for a pram. If you have a harness for your baby or he/she can be carried, it is only a 5 minute walk across the field from our garden before a pram can then be used, especially if going on into the village. The best walking route to the beach and Hive café is across the field circling to the right for a gentler descent.
