Detailed Reviews
As soon as me and my Partner Frank arrived, we were greeted by the lovely lady Sam who was managing the reception area.
Check in was from 3 PM, checkout is the following morning at 12 PM, which results in a good sleep in, should you have been travelling long distance.
Breakfast boxes are available for an additional charge, and these rooms are very affordable. May I give you reference we stayed in room 102. The room overlooks the car park area, which I found to be relaxed and not overly noisy.
We were speaking about our trip to the Cotswold, and it was lovely to have someone listen to our experience, and not feel rushed. Milk run low, as the pots were small sized, however once we requested more we were given a handful more without a fuss, and a lovely smile.
The room had most essentials, I am all for suggesting improvements, to make this room perfect I would recommend supplying:
• A fan, for the warmer months.
• A wardrobe.
• More soap, as this was empty upon arrival, and this would of been wonderful to have be full, should we of been staying longer than one night we would of had asked for a refill of this, however we had our own travel miniatures on this occasion.
Otherwise , a lovely stay and service from the friendly, smiley Sam.
I would give the service a 5 ⭐️
And the room a 4 ⭐️
Have a wonderful New year,
Many thanks,
Jack.

AlthoughI have seen some bad reviews of this chain, my stay herehas been most comfortable. I am waiting to move into a house and so have spent a few weeks here. Nothing has gone wrong so far! The day staff and night staff are all very pleasant, I mention the very helpful Jay and Laura, who both were always eager to please. The whole place was always clean, there was always tea and coffee available, the bathrooms in the different rooms I stayed in were done to a high standard and very clean. No hairs, no dust, shining porcelain. The beds were the most comfortable I have slept in for a long time, with plenty of pillows.
It was terrible weather most of the time, but the hotel was always warm.
This hotel is situated on an M4 service station and so Wales and Reading were just an hour or so in either direction.
I was very satisfied with my stay and give it five stars.

Room spotless and hospitality changing towels re stocking soap etc excellent, the cleaning team are working hard too❣️ First time staying in a motorway service Travelodge for more than one night, and it has it's advantages which are free parking ,shops and cafes open all night on your doorstep. Would highly recommend this Travelodge to explore Bath for a few days. Note to management you have an excellent team working hard for you and your customers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐well done 👍

Had a very pleasant one night stay, made all the easier by Nedd.
My one issue was on finding the entrance. My Sat Nav told me to make a sudden left hand turn up a side road, but it looked like a lorry park and no signs saying Travelodge Entrance! I continued thinking there must be another turning past that one, only to find myself on the M4 again.... about 18 miles later I parked near the services and walked to the lodge!
Nedd went above and beyond to help me sort the parking issue. His friendly manner was very reassuring and I was then able to relax and appreciate the pleasant room and handiness of having Sevices nextdoor open till 11.00pm. My room was surprisingly quiet, plenty of hot water for a bath and I appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities.
All in all a very nice stay... just better signage needed!

Just of the M4 so really easy to get to, loads of free parking. Nice rooms comfy beds, usb plug ports next to bed, flatscreen tv, modern bathroom although shower pressure was not as powerful as I would like but still adequate. Reception staff Sam was lovely and very welcoming 10/10 for customer service.

Our room was clean and a good size but the hand and bath gel dispensers did not work. We stayed 2 nights but despite repeated complaints to Reception and their delivery of replacement parts, they were unable to fit replacements. They just provided large plastic bottles of shower and hand gel which were not easy to use. The staff were very pleasant and apologetic but ineffective.

Had to stop here due to motorbike trouble and was very pleased with the price and overall size of the rooms. The reception staff ( Laura) was very helpful upon my arrival and informed me where to leave my motorbike overnight. Would highly recommend.

While Travelodges are, by design, budget friendly hotel options, they always provide a comfortable and affordable stay. The bathroom did show some signs of wear and tear, but was perfectly functional and the room was very spacious and had an extra single bed alongside the double bed, and the desk space far exceeded our expectations and allowed two people to work with plenty of space. Overall, would recommend the Chippenham Travelodge for a comfortable, convenient and affordable stay, particularly with the convenience of the service station next door, free parking onsite, and easy access to the M4 and train station links 20 minutes away.

Horrible, poorly maintained and cleaning not up to standard, staff who don’t care and it shows, I can usually tether my tablet to my phone to use my own wifi but there is absolutely no signal to do this here. Forces you to purchase their wifi at £3 a day for 2 devices. The room had a stale damp smell. There is no sound insulation so expect to get woken by late arrivals and other people who think it acceptable to shout to each other early hours of the morning.
