Kaleiçi is the name given to the city center surrounded by sea and land walls, located within the borders of Antalya's Muratpaşa district. The streets and structures of Kaleiçi bring the traces of Antalya's history to the present day. The importance of old houses is not only in terms of architecture, but also conveys very useful information about people's lifestyle, behavior, traditions and social aspects. Hadrian's Gate or Üçkapılar is one of the monumental gates on the city wall surrounding the city in Antalya. Also called marble door. It was built in 130 during the Roman Emperor Hadrian's visit to Antalya, addressing him. The three-eyed door has an inscription in Latin. From the decorated marble columns in the Corinthian style, the statues of the emperor and his family on the door, only the inscription has survived. Our hotel is located in the castle when you enter through the Hadrian's gate. We have a total of 22 rooms, 4 Triple, 1 Family, 1 Suite, 4 Deluxe and 12 Standard.

I booked this hotel last minute for one night. That has now turned into 5 nights because the room, staff and hotel overall is so nice.

Breakfast in the morning is traditional Turkish, with watermelon, cucumbers, tomatoes, assorted cheese and olives. There are also a few different hot items which change depending on the day.

My room was small, but perfect for a solo traveler, or even a couple. There is a refrigerator, closet, and cabinet space. The bathroom has a shower (no tub) which was clean with everything in working condition.

The AC in the room works well, and I have had no issues sleeping, even with outdoor temperatures being 30C!

The beds are memory foam, and extremely comfortable.

The pool area is in a courtyard of the hotel. The pool is sloped from a depth of about 1m to about 1.5m. It’s not a large swimming pool, but it’s spotlessly clean and the temperature is great.

One downside is that some of the rooms of the hotel face a restaurant that plays loud live music. Not a problem for me, as I’m usually out until late, and by the time I’m home, the music has stopped. Bring earplugs for sleeping if you’re worried.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for a great stay in Old Town Antalya.

PS, they have a parrot on the property and the parrot is lovely.

A very nice hotel, right in the center of the Old Town, but the sounds of nightlife don't reach here. Cleanliness at a high level, cleaning ladies very nice and smiling, our room (No. 105) was always fragrant. Very tasty meals and large portions, the Chef is a real Master. Waitresses and waiters very nice, polite and smiling, also the receptionists will help in any matter (taxi, cruises, buses). In the evenings, Enis (an incredibly friendly man) plays and sings, has a wonderful voice, a great pleasure to sit down with a drink and listen and sing with him. The hotel has a very nice and pleasant atmosphere, we stayed for 2 weeks and never got bored and did not disappoint. We warmly greet the whole preson (for the parrot too) and thank you for a wonderful holiday and we hope to meet again Friends!

We had such a lovely time in this hotel with my boyfriend and parents! Hamaseh is so so nice, she is a star and amazing worker who goes above and beyond for the guest! My parents loved her so much we wanted a photo with her so I will share it her so she can hopefully see it! We also loved Babush the parrot who talks and even meows. I miss him!
The room was lovely, it had a mini fridge and kettle, hair dryer etc. It was cleaned daily and our towels were always changed!
The lobby area and swimming pool was nice as well and the live music was great. The breakfast was small as reviews said but I think for a 3 star hotel it was perfectly ok, anyone could eat there even if you’re vegan. Such good location in middle of old town. We would stay here again :)

Based on 5 nights stay. This hotel is centrally located in old town, surrounded by restaurants and the sea. It has a pool and a few beach lounge chairs.

Hotel gave us “Standard Room” which was the attic essentially with ceiling height of 5 feet. Looked like the hotel had put together this room because there was paint at random spots, bathroom door knob fell apart so you’ll get stuck inside the bathroom. No shower head holder so you basically have to hold the shower handle when showering, the room window was over 5 foot so you can’t see anything unless you’re tall and the window was cracked and broken. The best part is, the hotel music was loud enough to start a Spring Break Miami Beach party everyday. And there was party everyday.

After complaining about room situation, we were given Standard Room the next day. Ended up wasting half of the day waiting for a new room, only to be told we have 5 min to move everything after reminding the hotel about a room switch. This room bathroom was nice minus it didn’t have functioning bathroom fan.

Also lockbox requires a physical key to open it and the hotel doesn’t have keys labeled so you’ll waste another 20min watching staff figure out which key is correct lockbox key.

The hotel staff doesn’t clean much as there was trash middle of the steps for 2 days and multiple staff members passed by it but didn’t pick it up.

The value is not worth the price paid and the service received. Will not recommend.

This should have been a nice review. However, I was allocated Room 102 which is clearly a breeding ground for mosquitos. I never encountered 1 mosquito in 5 days while in Antalya. I now know they are all in Room 102. After my 1st night, I had 25 bites on my face as well as my arms and the room was alive with mosquitos. They appear to come through a ventilation grill in the bathroom. Management know about this. I spoke to a couple who had been moved after 1 night as the guy had literally 100s of bites. So, no corrective action taken by hotel despite knowing the issue. They couldn't move me and after my complaints they bought a small mosquito plug in repellent and sprayed my room. Next morning still swarming. I forced the move when someone else was checking out, otherwise I think I would have had to spend a 3rd night in it. New room small but NO mosquitos. Shame my face was an absolute mess and still is. This is a shocking disregard for guest, depending on sending new victims into the swarm, knowing perfectly well what awaits them. In addition, you do not get your room made up or new towels during your stay. If you must stay, DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM 102

Room rate for 2 nights was verbally agreed and paid in full on arrival. On leaving we were charged again claiming the staff had made a mistake. The rate we had agreed was in line with all advertised rates
Book on line through a reputable provider.
The hotel is ok for the £40 ish rate.
Not very clean , bedding and towels are scruffy. WiFi doesnt work.
No coffee or tea in room, charged £2.50 for a poor Nescafé from machine, no prices displayed.
Confused and intimidated at check out, have ended up paying £160 for two nights.
We were tricked and taken advantage of
Best avoid

Last night (10.09.2021) the waiter received our order. Our order; It was an anthropotic and cheese salad. The average cooking time of an anthropoly is 3-5 minutes.
If there was a cheese salad in 5 minutes, it would be 10 minutes in total. But we waited a total of 40 minutes for our order to arrive. Reason? I believe the front row was a friend of a gentleman in a tie. Even though they came after us, they ate tenderloin before us :) Everyone took care of those tables because that's what the boss wanted:) Too bad I never recommend it. Note: Thank you to the friendly waiter friend who helped us

Made a booking via Agada website, it changed the dates to the the day I made the booking instead of the days I wanted. I called the hotel 10 minutes after booking, as I didn't realise until getting the email, to inform them there is technical issue and I'm not coming. They said I should speak to Agada. Contacted Agada same hour but they won't refund me without getting approval from the hotel who hide behind 'its non-refundable' and you should change it three days before booking. How could that be when the website changed my date??? Unhelpful and not understanding at all. What waste of money

VERY DISAPPOINTING experience at Castle old town hotel in Antalya.
1. When I arrived at 14.40 the room was not ready yet and I had to wait until 15.30 for check-in.
2. When I asked receptionist to provide me with internet details she was not helpful at all and replayed that she had to deal with other things.
3. I was checked-in into very noisy room #104 and after 3 days I asked if I could move into more peaceful room however they suggested only very tiny one where I could hardly move around the bed.
4. The bed sheets were worn out.
5. In the corridor in front of my room was like a storage with bed mattress.
6. The attitude of manager and receptionist lady from Ukraine was not friendly but rather hostile.
7. Location is incredibly noisy.

The hotel is perfectly situated, just off the main street so no noise at night. We stayed in a room at the back of the hotel, so can only speak of our experience. The room is pleasant and clean. A little tired in places but nothing major. Bed is extremely comfortable. Hotel itself is small and cute. Intimate is the word. The staff are attentive and go above and beyond. We are on a b&b basis. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choices available. Babuoosh the parrot is a cool member of the team however i don't think he pulls his weight as much as the others in the team. A lovely, friendly and clean hotel. I would definitely recommend to others. The pictures are exactly how the hotel is in reality.

Is the pool open in April? If so is it heated?

I have no idea if the pool is heated. It is not large and other pools of other hotels that we visited in Turkey were solar heated so my suspicion would be that this pool would be a bit brisk in April. This is a very good budget hotel, so I doubt that the pool would be heated.

Hello Koko, I dont work for the hotel. I was a guest at the hotel over the summer...with regards to your question, you can easily get a taxi from the airport to Kaleici for 40 Liras (£10). The airport transfer arranged by the hotels are expensive and I would not recommend it. Kind regards Ali
