Everyone at this place is amazing. Everyone took an extra step to speak with me and to go the extra mile to make sure I was happy, comfortable, and had enough to do on my solo trip to Fiji. To the person who threw a temper tantrum about being served cornflakes for breakfast: you must have missed the coffee, tea, three types of fresh and locally grown fruit, and the toast. All whilst overlooking the most fantastic view of the coral coast in perfect seclusion from the rest of the world. Particular shout out to Joe, the chef and landscaper extraordinaire who made sure every meal I had was the best, and never failed to ask if I needed anything else. He and the housekeeper brought me a freshly chopped coconut full of coconut water and then opened it so I could eat it for lunch while overlooking the water. Everything here was perfect. It’s not a 4 or 5 star resort - there are only 8 rooms, which makes it wonderful for seclusion, relaxation, and the best service you could imagine. I enjoyed everything more than any 5-star resort I’ve ever been to. Next time I come to Fiji, it will be to this hotel! I would recommend asking for the lobster a few days ahead of time, to make sure it is in stock! Only regret was not trying that magnificent looking meal.

This is an amazing boutique holiday destination. Still in its infancy but it is a super quiet holiday choice. We encountered a couple of issues to do with the showers. Our reservation was for four nights, our shower had no hot water for two days, we were moved to another bure which did have warm water but the water did not drain away. The showers are outdoors which is pretty cool but be aware that bugs like to join you. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the bures clean. This is a resort that has been restored after being closed for a few years, so the bathrooms are original I think therefore not swanky. The windows do not have mosquito netting so keeping the windows shut from early evening is essential. The breakfast is adequate, cereal, fruit, toast, jam, tea and coffee. It is wonderful enjoying the gorgeous view while eating breakfast. You need to sit by the office to get wi fi but that is ok, beware of mosquitoes though. The staff are very accommodating and lovely. We really enjoyed our few days there and will stay again.

Very relaxing. Friendly staff and great service. Comfortable rooms. Beautiful views. Restraunt has good food. I especially liked the Ika lovolo. Fish cooked in coconut milk. They also do lovo and have a string band some nights too. Lush tropical garden environment with great sea views from all burres

We stayed in one of the beachfront bures and it was just magic. The bed was so so comfortable and the view from it just magic. Yes there are niggles, the shower was tricky and there is no technology to speak of. The wifi was like catching pokemon. But the staff were just amazing. The service was also delivered with real care and generosity. Our breakfasts were simple but all you needed, fresh pawpaw and just perfect toast with lashings of butter. Mmm yum. Meals here were just great. The fish with the soft tacos was one of the best meals of our holiday. Anything we asked for, from beach towels to birthday flowers and cake for our birthday girl was no problem. I loved it and the location was simply magic. It is not 5 star but it is a very lovely and real place to experience Fiji.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. For us, it was a 6 out of 5! We were the only people staying there at the time, so it was incredibly quiet and relaxing. All the staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to give my wife and I a beautiful romantic dinner ON the beach to celebrate her birthday. From our own kava ceremony, to cooking food we bought at the Sigatoka markets, nothing was too much, and we all had plenty of laughs together along the way. Chef Josh and Joe the bar man do a great job in the restaurant that serves simple but incredibly good Fijian cuisine. Snorkelling at Namolevu's beach which is a marine reserve is great, with some of the best coral life I've seen anywhere in the world. We also loved the fact that we were supporting a 100% indigenous owned resort. With only 8 bure's, if you're looking for a quiet and authentic Fijian experience with lovely and genuine staff we'd highly recommend Namolevu. Thanks Seni, Josh, Joe and the rest of the staff, you were a big part of our trip being very memorable and we'll definitely be back.

I have no idea what other people saw in this place. The place is already outdated after just opening up in 2017. Who need a iron or a telephone (reception is 30seconds away)? There are no flyscreens on the windows except on the bures for the staff. Good luck with opening a window for fresh air at night.. The bathroom is just cheaply build, get proper construction workers, invest something rather than just offer this place for way to much money. The food for the price is ridiculus. If you have ever been to a normal (not a luxury!) restaurant in a hotel you will be disappointed. Included breakfast is a joke, cornflakes?! Is this homestay or a hotel?! And if you still wanna go, book online on agoda or else, because if you book directly via their website it is double the price (hopefully they changed that). You’re better off at any other place nearby, like us, because we had to leave after 1 night. Moreover the managament is unprofessional and rude, you can not even call it cultural differences. If you don’t believe, good luck.

Response from Stoga2019, Guest Relations Manager at Namolevu Beach Bures Accommodation
Responded 19 Jun 2019
Bula Tim M Thank you for your interesting review. Namolevu Beach Bures always prides itself in maintaining a high standard of service to our guests and I find it interesting that this was not as you expected even when making a booking online. As explained to you, this resort is 100% indigenous owned and we try our best to offer an Exclusive private resort to reflect just that, the local atmosphere. Which I believe if you go through our previous reviews, we did deliver, it was merely an issue with the rates that you're holding everything against Namolevu even though we tried our best to assist you. We do thank you for your biased review and hope that you did enjoy your stay in Fiji afterall. Thanks Stoga Marketing Manager

We had absolutely amazing holiday in Namolevu beach Bures!! To be honest, initially we were like "ok.." when we got there and saw a very basic guest room without TV and bathroom door(there is a curtain though). We already expected wonderful views and friendly staff etc from reviews of other people so we thought nothing was particularly exceptional. However! For 7 entire days, there was only us as their guests! We felt like as if everything including gorgeous beach in front of us was all ours! We had never experienced such a thing before. And also, the beach front room is truly amazing!! We hired snorkeling gears from a scuba diving shop within the accommodation for 2 days and beautiful corals and fish were waiting for us! No TV ended up didn't bother us at all. Anyway all necessary amenities including shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were there, and also complimentary tea and coffee were there too, so nothing else we really needed. The staff treated us as if we were a part of their family. We want thank especially Rowata for her friendly and very professional service. She always made sure we were comfortable and offered absolutely everything we needed during our stay. The restaurant view, foods and service are the five stars as well!! Even though you don't stay there, you should come and eat there. We enjoyed a lot and we will definitely come back again! Oh, I have to mention "Buddy" the puppy dog of theirs. Thank you for playing with us!

With the threat of a cyclone forcing us to return from the Yasawas to Viti Levu, a Fijian friend recommended us Namolevu Beach Bures. We booked in the afternoon for the same day and were welcome there as if we were part of their family. This Fijian owned business is deserving all the good reviews it has received. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a direct view on the ocean (litterally 5m away), a small swimming pool, and a reasonably priced restaurant on-site. The staff arranged for us a car rental, and a visit to a local hot spring. We were also lucky to be directly introduced to Sisa, the director of the resort who told us about how they got around taking over the business, the only Fijian owned business in a sea of foreign owned, 2 to 10 times larger, businesses. We totally recommend this place!

For the second year in a row, again we visited Namolevu, located at Maui Bay, around 20-30 minutes from Sigatoka. Four of us had a well needed blob out after a very busy time on Mana Island. Although the weather was slightly ‘drizzly’ and damp over our stay, we still found plenty to keep us occupied. We booked 3 Hema bures (right on beachfront) & side by side. Very comfortable beds, blackout curtains, great air condo, & everything else supplied. No TV in rooms, but we wouldn’t have found time anyway time to watch TV. Sited next door to Maui Bay, there is an option to visit/eat here. Just along the road is the Moksha Spa and the Gazebo Café. We spent an afternoon here, excellent massages and services. Whilst two were having massages, the other two spent some time relaxing over coffee/scones at the Gazebo café & vice versa. Included is a free pick up and back service, even although just a few minutes up the road. Our breakfast table was always set up for us each morning, at whatever time we arose. Continental breakfast included in room rates, and is more than sufficient. Fully cooked breakfast is also available at a charge. The food here is great, and they source the freshest vegetables, fruits, fish, & imported steaks are so tender. Food and drinks are not expensive. Most late afternoons we got together on our decks (covered) for nibbles and refreshments. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, with nothing being a problem. We spent an afternoon with Luke, Head of Tagaqe Village who are part owners. We were enterained with fascinating stories of Fiji life and culture. There is a well equipped supermarket around 10-15 minutes walk for any last minute items needed. A recent acquisition is a Dive Centre on the premises. The resort was fully occupied (8 bures only) during our stay, and in the midst of the Fiji elections, which had no impact on our visit. If you want a relaxing holiday, safe location, great food, snorkeling, safe swimming and outside activities this is the place to stay. Vinaka vakalevu to Sisa (Managing Director), Illy, Luke and all the Namolevu staff. We will return again as soon as possible.
