Paradisus Los Cabos, an adults-only retreat, is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere with live music and DJs, though a few guests find it overwhelming for quiet relaxation. The immaculate condition of the hotel garners compliments, despite occasional housekeeping hiccups. While opinions on value vary, with the Reserve upgrade receiving both kudos and criticism, the friendly and professional staff are often commended, even as some point out slower service. Its enviable beachfront location near Cabo's heart is a highlight, as are the extensive amenities, despite some guests suggesting enhancements. Mixed reviews on the rooms suggest variation in noise levels and cleanliness, yet many acknowledge their luxurious aspects.

Check in went smoothly - we were greeted with welcome drinks and were offered several options for upgrades (some free of charge). Jose at the front desk was so kind, friendly, and more than accommodating for offering this to us. He also kept us in the know of different activities at the hotel (turtle release, art walk, downtown recs) and which restaurants we could eat at on the property. The food was great and the drinks were strong, especially considering the price we feel it was well worth the cost. The Nespresso shop was great for coffee any time of the day. We had Gilberto as a server for lunch and he provided us excellent service. The ice cream shop was just ok - they ran out of cookies n cream which was the only good flavor. The hotel and rooms were very clean - staff does a great job with the upkeep. The location of the hotel is excellent - there is a swimmable area in the ocean and the water was so clean/clear. We didn't go in the pool - we heard the water was colder than the ocean, but Daniel at the pool area was always energetic, friendly, and accommodating to us and would reserve our pool cabana every morning. We would consider going back and recommending this to others.

We always have excellent service at Paradisus properties in Mexico. Usually it's just a few staff members that go above and beyond to help you live your best vacation life, but this time I ended up with a whole list who deserve a shout out. We are glad to be in Melia's Circle because we are always so impressed with the people who work at Paradisus in Mexico. The service is what you might expect at a much higher price point. Everyone is friendly, engaged, and obviously they take pride in aiming to create their guests' ultimate vacation experience. They even surprised us with an elegant welcome spread in our room on our first evening. From restaurant reservations to spa bookings to general questions, our concierge Luis Basilio helped make our visit seamless.

Our room was flawless, although we would have liked to be closer to the Reserve lounge, which I found to be a great place to do work on my laptop with a gorgeous view in the background. The lounge also had some impressive coffee table books, delicious espresso, a friendly & accommodating bartender Hector, and a nice spread of snacks from before breakfast to after dinner. Anyway, our room was a beautiful space, made more luxurious by high vaulted ceilings because it was the top floor. The room was spacious, airy, and well-maintained: Surprisingly, EVERYTHING worked perfectly, including sliding door, its lock, air conditioner, sink drain, light switches, no light bulbs were out, all drawers opened smoothly, shower door sealed, no chipped paint, etc. Housekeeping was consistent, and we never got even remotely close to running out of bottled water or clean towels. My only criticism is the fan vent in the bathroom was a bit dirty and looked like it could use a wipe. Also, I was not terribly impressed with the quality of the bed linens. The shower helpfully features two heads & wands, allowing for a couple to shower together comfortably. Good temperature and pressure. The lighting in the sink area was soft and flattering rather than stark and jarring. Love the fluffy bathrobes.

We enjoyed hanging by the main pool, which seemed to oscillate between periods of rest and activity (water aerobics, bumping Latin music). The cabanas available to Reserve guests were a shady refuge to relax in between dips, while reading, or napping. The Reserve pool was a little tame for our taste. We participated in sip & paint activity, and also I really enjoyed the pole fitness class with Dani (Danny?) by the pool. He was a great instructor and it was a great way to challenge myself on an otherwise relaxing trip. I also enjoyed several yoga sessions with a view of the beach. They have group yoga classes, but I rolled out my own mat and did my own practice anywhere I found a great view and didn't seem to be in the way. The gym was pretty cramped with equipment and did not have open space or a separate studio area for yoga/pilates/calisthenics. I enjoyed 2 spa treatments - a facial and a massage. My massage therapist was great, but my husband didn't like his therapist as much, so make sure you speak up about your preferences if you're going to spend the money. I do hope the resort invests in more/better live music and shows, perhaps performances at a bigger venue could create a more exciting atmostphere than upstairs by the lobby bar.

For breakfast & lunch, we ate mostly at the Palapa in the rserve section, where Valentin & Ventura accommodated all sorts of special requests, made fabulous cappucinos, and humorously tolerated my husband practicing his Spanish.

For dinner, we went to our favorite, Tokimeku, twice, where Manuel took great care of us.
We also enjoyed Sal steakhouse, where we had extremely polished service and great discussion about wine with Benjamin.
La Palapa had some really great dishes for dinner as well; Salvador our waiter was fantastic, although the kitchen was slow that night.
Ciel was also delicious; Santiago made sure we had everything we needed and made a great recommendation on my husband's main course.
We did not try the Italian Cappella, in order to hit Tokimeku a second time :D

Hugo, the sommelier, enhanced dinner throughout our stay with some excellent wines. From French to Californian to Mexican, they were each thoughtful and lively selections.
After we complained about the slow dinner at La Palapa, immediately followed by slow service at Gabi the next day for lunch, it seemed like they sent Marco, a food & beverage manager, to shadow our following meals. He cerainly is en effective leader, because everything was on point after that, and we appreciated management's eagerness and ability to correct course.

This was a truly gorgeous resort, probably the second most impressive Melia property we've stayed at (after Gran Palacio Isora in Tenerife). We loved the imaginative landscaping, a combination between dessert (cacti) and tropical (plumeria, jatropha). Can't wait to come back!

We had an incredible stay at this resort! The facilities and amenities were not only top-notch but impeccably clean. The staff were truly accommodating and hospitable, making our experience all the more enjoyable.

The location is perfect if you’re looking to escape the busy tourist areas of downtown Cabo. It’s about a 20-minute car ride into the city, giving you the best of both worlds—seclusion with easy access to the action.

Housekeeping was attentive, ensuring our room was always spotless, no matter the time of day. As for dining, the restaurants exceeded our expectations. Our favorite, in order, were the Italian, sushi/Asian, Mexican, and steakhouse options. The breakfast buffet and poolside lunch options (including the food truck) provided a great variety for all tastes, and we loved the assortment available throughout the day.

A special highlight was the coffee and ice cream shop, as well as the homemade popsicle cart whenever it made an appearance—such a treat!

One of the best parts of our stay was the variety of daily activities hosted by the resort. My mom and I enjoyed participating in several, and they added so much fun to our trip. There was always something engaging to do!

We highly recommend tipping generously, as the staff here are incredibly polite, respectful, and always willing to go the extra mile. Adrian, our concierge specialist, was absolutely fantastic. He was our go-to for all questions and recommendations, both in and outside the resort. His professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness made our stay even more special.

This is a beautiful property and our first time staying here. We enjoyed most of our stay, however there were some rather glaring issues. The biggest issue was the fact that we reserved two rooms that were both “1 king bed ocean view in the Reserve”, one for each couple. When we checked in on Thursday, one couple was given a room with 2 queen beds and the other was given a room with 2 double beds. Really? In an adults only hotel for 2 couples? When we questioned this, we were told that the bed type was not guaranteed and there was nothing they could do. The person who checked us in was rude and dismissive, and the check in process took forever. The other glaring issue was the “Ocean View”, or lack there of. You had to go to the sliding glass doors to the balcony and look through the palm trees to see the water. Not the ocean view we were expecting, not at all.

On the other hand, our personal concierge, Juventino, was great. He was very helpful and pleasant to work with our entire stay, making certain we had what we needed. We enjoyed the variety of food available at the 7 different restaurants, and the liquor they served was top shelf. Roberto in the Reserve Lounge was great, and always had a smile.

The pools were clean, but a bit chilly. The cabanas were comfortable and there was none of the silly “must get up at 6am and put towels on chairs to reserve them” nonsense. The beach was beautiful and the staff went out of their way to help me, with my wheelchair, to get down to the beach and back up the rather steep slope again. A big shout out to Eric, a security guard, and another male staffer who was newer (I’m sorry, I forgot the name), who helped us and were interested in our conversation about a beach wheelchair and what an asset it would be to have.

The transportation to and from the airport went smoothly and was very easy. We were very happy to not have to find transportation ourselves, a nice benefit with our reservation.

We met multiple people who have been coming to this property for many years which reinforced our belief that we shall probably return again, with the hope an even better experience.

Dear Janet, Thank you for the time taken to share your experience of staying with us. We are thrilled to hear that Juventino, our personal concierge, provided you with the attentive and helpful service that we pride ourselves on, and that you savored the variety of top-shelf offerings at our sophisticated dining venues. It is heartwarming to know that our team, including Roberto and the helpful Eric, contributed to your carefree beach experience, and that our transportation services added a touch of convenience to your stay. We regret to hear that the room allocation and views did not meet your expectations. While our room descriptions aim to be as accurate as possible, we apologize if the natural tropical beauty of our location impacted the ocean view from your suite. We strive to ensure all guests have an elegant and harmonious experience with us, and your feedback is invaluable as we continue to enhance our services. It is inspiring to learn that our clean pools and the relaxed environment of our cabanas allowed you to enjoy your time without the hassle of reserving spots early in the morning. Your suggestions, including the idea of a beach wheelchair, are appreciated and will be considered thoughtfully as we endeavor to make our resort even more inviting and accessible to all our guests. The entire team really hope we can welcome you back on a future occasion. Kindest regards, Ricardo Mondragón, Hotel Manager

Staying at Paradisus Los Cabos was a truly first-class experience, especially in the Reserve section. Our swim-up room offered a sense of privacy most of the time, making it a peaceful retreat. The concierge service was exceptional—Roberto, in particular, made our stay effortless, handling dinner reservations and even booking a spa appointment, which left me feeling completely pampered. Although we don’t drink alcohol, we indulged in the resort's delicious ice cream and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, like a frozen strawberry delight garnished with a popsicle. The food, while fancier than we’re used to, was enjoyable.

We also had an included excursion—a fun city tour of San Jose del Cabo. We learned about the history of chocolate in Mexico, explored the city center, and enjoyed some shopping. Additionally, my husband and I went on a separate fishing trip, where we caught Mahi Mahi and brought it back to the resort. The chef prepared it in three delicious courses, with the grilled Mahi Mahi tacos being a standout.

The resort offers a relaxing atmosphere, with a fun but not overwhelming pool area. We also loved our quiet mornings at the beach, exploring the tide pools. Housekeeping was attentive, and the little touches, like chocolates and sparkling water in our room, added to the experience. I already miss the morning room service!

However, there were a few minor drawbacks—our premium room had a dead tree, a dirty lamp, and, as with many Mexican resorts, the wet tile floors were slippery, so caution is advised. Despite these small issues, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. The welcoming touches, like cool towels at check-in, made all the difference.

We really enjoyed our stay at Paradisus Los Cabos. I would give it 4.5 stars - because while it was great there were a couple things that could be improved

The Good:
-Quiet room, comfortable bed, could not hear neighbors or music from main part of hotel
-WIFI was excellent
-All the staff was fantastic- very helpful and friendly
-This is not the type of place people run down and put towels on chairs at 7am and leave. it was very casual- plenty of chairs even during the peak week between xmas and new years
-Breakfast buffet and lunch truck by the pool were excellent

Could be improved:
-I think there are two types of people when it comes to music at pools. There are people who like a party atmosphere and those who like quiet so they can read and nap. I'm the 2nd type. The music at his hotel was constant- at the pool, at breakfast, even 10pm walking to room. thought maybe the beach would be quieter but nope, music playing down there too. At the pool it went from somewhat loud to very loud when they had a guest DJ. Sometimes I would hear two different sources of music- one from the DJ and one from the restaurant near where we were sitting. I know this is a personal preference but it is a reason that I would probably not return
-No hot tub and the pools are not heated.
-Dinner in SALT steak cave was downright awful. We ordered the NY strip off the included menu (you could pay more to get rib eye and other cuts). It was like shoe leather and you could taste the gas grill.
-Our air conditioning was loud like a jet engine (room 4312). We had to turn it off at night because it was so loud.

We had upgraded to the reserve. for us it was worth it because we were able to reserve a cabana every day. If thats not important (and there are plenty of chairs) not sure it is worth it.

Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. It is heartwarming to hear that our tranquil rooms, high-quality WIFI, and caring staff contributed to a comfortable stay, fully immersed in the luxury and elegance expected of our resort. Our paradisiacal location and the harmonious blend of nature with our amenities are designed to provide a carefree and inviting atmosphere, and it's inspiring to know that you appreciated these aspects. We are genuinely sorry to hear that some elements did not meet your expectations. Our sophisticated environment aims to cater to a variety of preferences, and we regret that the music ambiance throughout the resort was not to your liking. As for the A/C, we recognize that some units can be noisy, which is why individually controlled air conditioning is available in all rooms for a more mindful experience. The absence of a hot tub and the steak dinner at SAL Steak Cave are certainly areas we will reflect on to ensure a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for all our guests. We are delighted that the upgrade to The Reserve was a highlight for you, offering that extra touch of sophistication and exclusivity, with reserved cabanas and an elevated level of service. We are hoping to welcome you back in the future. All the best. Ricardo Mondragón, Hotel Manager

My boyfriend and stayed at Paradisus Los Cabos from March 14 to 21, 2024... It was an unforgettable trip, because everything was perfect and beyond our expectations... The temperature was ideal for sunbathing and swimming, i.e. 25-27 celcius during the day and 20-22 celcius in the evening, no humidity and wall-to-wall sun throughout our stay... We had a room facing the sea (3218) in block 3 with the "THE RESERVE" option which is really worth it.. In the room, the fridge was always well stocked every day, bottles of water in large quantities, several towels and washcloths, coffee maker with Nespresso pods, several sweets and bottle of wine upon our arrival... We were taken care of by Roberto who was very efficient, very friendly and attentive to our requests... He took care of making all our 7 reservations at the different restaurants in the menu... Besides, they are all very good, but our favorite is undoubtedly LE PALAPA of haute cuisine, where we tasted the best filet mignon... The site is magnificent, well laid out, lush and d 'exceptional cleanliness... The main swimming pool is very large and we also had the option of swimming in the private swimming pool for "THE RESERVE" for more tranquility... On the other hand, for those looking for a sea crystal clear, calm with white sand (like in Cuba), Mexico in general is not quite the designated place, but there is still a small bay which is swimmable... And I end by mentioning that ALL the staff are really friendly, courteous, smiling, helpful and very attentive to their customers... We loved this place so much that we are already planning to return! ♥♥♥

Simply put an amazing stay. We booked the Reserve level rooms and from the moment we walked in were whisked to the Reserve Lounge to be checked in. We were introduced to our Concierge, Carlos who was the most attentive, professional, friendly, knowledgable and anticipated our needs without having to be asked.

This is a mark of effective training and leadership which was evident by the manager, Diana. Diana, leads by example, she understands the importance of the customer experience. Paradisus, don't lose her, she is excellent. In fact the entire staff of the property is trained on the customer experience, from the Bell Captain and team, front desk, restaurant workers, housekeeping and even the maintenance crew all greeted you with a warm and friendly smile and wish you a good day.

The hotel grounds are beautiful and they work daily to keep it fresh. Housekeeping deserves a special acknowledgement, we were in rooms 3215 and 3216 and they took great care to ensure our rooms were cleaned properly and smelled like a spa. Thank you housekeeping!

All in a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend the Paradisus Los Cabos, it's a special place. Thank you Diana and Carlos for making it extra special.

From the moment you step into the Paradisus the feeling of tranquillity surrounds you. As you walk towards the beach the desert, rocks and sea water create a spectacular view. There you are met by Carlos who manages the beach with a calm but orderly presence. We found him to be exceptional in service and personality. Somehow without being intrusive he was always there to move a chair into the sun provide an extra towel and made sure we had what we needed before even asking. Carlos made sure the white cabanas were set up each morning with our names and lined with fresh towels. These were the most comfortable chairs I've had to lounge on. Alejandro provided endless runs between the bar and the beach always with a smile and before we even realized we needed a refill. We found the food to be well above average for an all inclusive. Every morning at Sante we were greeted with a huge smile by Valeria who just made our day with her warm personality. We enjoyed Mexican breakfast with chilaquiles and huevos rancheros but they would literally make anything you asked for. Emmanuele at Sante was also excellent in service and made sure we had anything we needed. In general the people and the service at this resort was exceptional. Rafael at Aguamarina had drinks and chips waiting for us before we sat down and always again with a smile. We enjoyed the lobster ceviche and the Totoaba tostado in addition to the blackened fish tacos which were all excellent. There were a number of choices for restaurants including Mexican Italian and Sal steakhouse. Our favorite was the Japanese Tokimeku. The lobster sushi fried rice and Robatayaki meat was exceptional. The rooms are cleaned daily by an amazing maid staff who also provides turndown service, a very subtle but luxurious touch. The beds are really comfortable and always clean. Overall the experience at this resort was everything we could have asked for and more. We relaxed we were pampered and we truly enjoyed. Will definitely be back!

TL;DR: Far more "Griswold's Family Vacation" than "White Lotus."

It's like the last few days of a dying, tired resort that never recovered from Covid. Half of the place is closed and it's tiny to begin with.

After repeated attempts from multiple staff, nothing changed, so in no particular order:

This was billed as a family friendly resort and when we checked in, I learned it will be adults only in January. The staff was openly hostile to my kids, reprimanding them seemingly anytime they were having fun. They were yelled at for swimming in the rain (no lightening), walking on the beach nowhere near the shore and splashing water onto the pool deck. Kids are also banned from the gym and when we checked in, from most restaurants. They relaxed these rules during the course of our stay "because it's raining" although I'm not sure why that factor alone saved my kids from eating cold room service nightly.

Our "upgraded" room felt like any ho hum Marriott with full beds, not queens, so we had to order a roll away to make it livable. It was clearly set up for two - two patio chairs, two bathrobes. Not family or group friendly at all. The thermostat goes down to 16C but the room never actually cooled past a certain point.

The poolside bathrooms often smelled like a barn and had visible poop on the seats. Plaster was falling from the ceiling.

Here's what's going on here:
No hot tub
No towel art or room decor
No bathtubs
No water sports
No poolside music
No movies
No pool floats
No tennis or basketball courts
Two volleyballs for the whole resort?

The only evening show we watched featured a reenactment of human sacrifices made to appease the corn gods.

I also watched the pool staff pour chlorine into the water as people were swimming. And when it rains, good luck. Every surface leaks and their solution is to put down old towels everywhere.

This place was also infested by bees and flies, to the point that the grass looked like it was moving from all the flies levitating above the surface.

Breakfast and coffee is not open until 7, bars until 10 and ice cream until noon.

I could go on, but I'm running out of room. If you have a family, go to Dreams instead for a better experience at a better price. Couples should visit the Secrets here, it's incredible and don't sleep on the poolside tacos!

As for me, I am writing this poolside while still on this "vacation" where I can't get anyone to take my lunch order and my room has also not been touched by housekeeping in 24 hours. I can't wait to get my kids out of this.

Dear Kellystone26, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are glad to hear that you appreciated our prime location and the beautiful views it offers. However, we are truly sorry to hear about the inconveniences you and your family faced during your stay. We understand that our transition to an adults-only resort in January may have caused some confusion, and we apologize for any discomfort this may have caused. Our aim is to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests, and we will address your concerns regarding the room conditions and poolside bathrooms with our team to ensure improvements are made. We would like to clarify that our resort offers a variety of activities and entertainment options, as well as multiple dining choices to cater to different preferences. We apologize if these options did not meet your expectations during your stay. Regarding the bees and flies, we are committed to maintaining a clean and eco-friendly environment, and we will continue to work on finding solutions to minimize their presence. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our services and facilities for future guests. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes, Diana Delgado Bauzá, Guest Experience Manager

Afternoon, We did not experience any dress code expectations at any of the restaurants. There is sunscreen available by the towel pick up location (main pool). Yes, our room had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Pool was chilly but fine once in. I'm sure temperature liking is dependent on person but the coolness did not stop us. Hope you have fun!
