Our stay at the Los Cabos Grand Fiesta Americana was fantastic. The resort was spotless, the staff were incredibly polite and helpful, and tipping was never expected, which made us want to tip even more. The food and drinks were excellent for an all-inclusive, and the beachfront breakfast buffet was a highlight—especially when we spotted whales while enjoying fresh fruit and bacon. We also loved the abundance of pools, hot tubs, and the convenient beach access with plenty of lounging options.

We stayed in room 119, which was a bit noisy at times with employees rolling carts by, but honestly, they were just doing their job, so we can’t really complain. The beach isn’t swimmable, and the ATM fees were high—so bring cash for tipping. Overall, the experience was so great we’d love to return!

Stayed here to celebrate a 50th birthday and a couple 60th birthdays and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are extremely friendly and work very hard to make sure the guests feel well looked after and the grounds are immaculate. The resort is beautiful and not overly big making navigation easy.
The restaurants offer a good variety of meal choices and the main buffet has a different theme nightly. Reservations are required for the Italian and sushi restaurants only.
Starbucks served in the coffee shop was our daily start.
Our room was lovely and had a stunning view of the beach. The bed was comfortable and shower was great too. Fridge was fully stocked with beer, pop and water as well as snacks. Room service was available but we never used it. Housekeeping was great as well offering clean towels and turn down service daily.
Water shoes are recommended as the beach sand is very course and hard to walk on even in sandals.
There are a couple entry points into the water at the beach that are safer due to many big rocks among the waves. Saw many fish while snorkelling including pufferfish and angelfish.
Towels are provided for the beach & pool, no towel cards required.
Wifi is available throughout the property.
We met one guest who brought their small dog so I assume pets are welcome but can’t confirm.
We would definitely stay here again in the future.

As a travel agent ill try and provide a reasonable assessment of this resort. I’ll start by saying we were here for 7 days and had a good time. There was nothing awful or disturbing but future travelers should know about.

First the grounds were very pretty and very clean. The resort was built around 1999 and is showing signs of age but nothing awful. There are a lot of steps so anyone who is walking challenged needs to think carefully about this resort. There are ramps but not always in most convenient spots. The three pools were a nice size never felt crowed and the infinity edges gave it a nice feel. My one issue were the pool needed a lot of cosmetic repairs. Tiles were missing and those that they attempted to replace were done with a brown adhesive and grout that stood out like a sore thumb. Again not awful just takes away from the experience

The weather for the first 6 days was hot and humid almost as bad as Florida in the summer. What made this difficult during this stay is that there are not many places on the resort that have any worthwhile A/c and not very many fans so it tends to get quite uncomfortable at times. Room A/C worked great%.. dinning rooms A/c were limited.

The other issue was all three pools the water temperature was like bath water.. The only relieve you got is once you were wet and a breeze came up it would feel nice. The ocean was only slightly better and the surf was pretty rough.

Only recourse was the shower by the beach that had cold water.

Moving on to rooms. Jr suite Ocean view plenty big and clean. Furniture is dated and not many drawers and not many hangers in the closet. There are 4 shelves in the closet but 1 has the safe. Good enough to sleep, shower and change.

Breakfast is the only true buffet, lunch or dinner are served in other restaurants. Othe than Rosetta (Italian restaurant) you don’t need a reservation. The peninsula restaurant was closed all week for maintenance. The Seafood restaurant by the beach for lunch was very good, the grill by the pool for lunch was very good. The Mexican restaurant had tacos for lunch several days while we were there. The Mexican restaurant for dinner was the worst. Blu and Rosetta’s for dinner were very good.

Staff was very nice all over the property. No issues getting any type of beverage around the pool and small bites were also available.

The resort is in José del Cabo which is 40 minutes from the airport. Downtown Cabo San Lucas is another 15 minutes away. You will need to take a cab if you want to do any type of shopping visit nightclubs or go off property to eat.

Hope this helps

As far as food is concerned this resort is a little different all inclusive approach.

This was my wife and I's second time staying at a Grand Fiesta resort. We had a great experience at the Peurto Vallarta location back in 2017, and wanted to give this one a shot as well with a few friends.

These hotels continue to not disappoint. The food, drinks and staff in particular were all fantastic. The sushi and italian A La Cartes had awesome food, as did the buffet and Cechiveria/Grill during the lunch hours. They also made lunches special by the pool daily and those meals were great as well.

On the liquor side, they served spirits like Ketel One and Kraken (which were included at no extra cost).

The one major upside of this resort was no doubt the unreal staff they employee here. From check-in to check-out, all of our interactions with staff were top notch, and I'd like to call out those individuals for making our trip a special one:

Yami - unbelievable server at the pool. We always had drinks and food in our hands and she always had great drink recommendations. She was AMAZING.

Entertainment staff (Yair, Nicole, Lenora, Aura & Armando) - we are always looking to keep busy at the pool during the day and these guys always kept the energy fun at the pool. We appreciated how hard they worked to keep everyone entertained.

Victor (lobby bar) - super nice guy and a great bartender.

A La Carte servers - Narci (Italian), Carlos (Sushi), Miguel (Mexican) - all very friendly and made our dinners super enjoyable.

Carlos (swim-up bar) - very personable and friendly

Ivan (check-in) - from the get-go, made us feel very welcomed

Only two downsides to the trip:

We stayed in 201 which is the room closest to the Martini Bar (literally down the hallway from the bar) so we unfortunately heard a lot of noise late in the early hours of the night of people coming back to their rooms and from the bar itself.

The first night, our group decided to try the seafood A La Carte restaurant and the food here was below average.

I will also say that the "$500 room credit" we recieved was a bit of a joke. It could only be used at the restaurants to pay for food/drink upgrades OR at the spa. However for all options, you could only spend $100 a day maximum (so you would be stuck paying the difference for a spa treatment that is more than $100 USD).

Overall, great experience highlighted by amazing staff.

We just left after 6 days stay during spring break. Not much nice to say about this hotel. We have been to several all inclusive hotels in Cabo and Cancun this is by far the worst experience. I have no idea how this hotel got so many good reviews.
I booked our rooms two months in advance because xcaret and Hyatt Ziva both were out of rooms, this is our last option, room price is quite expensive about $1000 a night, a week before our trip the price went down $900 for our whole trip, they wouldn’t adjust the price or give us any updates but ok, not much we can do. At check in we were told we can only make dinner reservations for Saturday and Sunday because reservations open up on Saturday for the following week. Also all pool cabanas were booked I have to come bank tomorrow at 9am when they open to see if there is cancellation. So we ate at the Japanese restaurant the first night server didn’t even give us a menu, when I asked she said since we are a big group she ordered us family style meal, ok but at least tell us first, so after they brought out the food server never came again, to refill our water or check on us, 20 mins later we just got up and left.
2nd day 8:50 I went to down to see if we can book reservations for the rest of our stay, there were already 3 groups ahead of us, after waiting for 20 mins they told me all restaurants were booked and they only have availability at 9:30pm, basically she’s telling me the three groups in front of me took all dinner reservations in all restaurants before 9:30pm that’s total BS, then when I asked about booking cabana she said I have to go to another booth, again not what I was told yesterday.
They didn’t tell is what’s happening at the hotel at all! We looked online and found out there will be shows so we had to go to the front and ask for activities schedule. One of the nights we ate at the Mexican restaurant, they had mariachi band signing at the tables, our kids really wanted them to come to our table so my husband gave the manager $20, he said no worry I will take care it, until the end of dinner the band never showed up.
So were many other negative things about the hotel.
Old outdated room, broken toilet, leaking water faucet. No toilet paper in the restrooms, had to ask several times and different servers about high chair, never end up getting one. Over all, it’s no where near the 5 start hotel standard .
One of the nights we are at the Mexican restaurant

Overall the Resort is a great place to hangout for some R&R. We had a 3-bedroom suite in a great location with easy access to the main building, pool, and beach.

We spent the majority of our days by the pool where Nicole and the rest of the aquatic entertainment crew kept us dancing and playing throughout the day. Nicole has such a positive attitude, she is warm, welcoming, and full of unstoppable energy.

Our last day we booked a cabana by the ocean and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for the ultimate relaxation experience. The sound of the waves and endless ocean views are wonderful.

The lobby bar is by far the best place to get drinks. Ricardo and Victor took time to craft our cocktails with care. Although bars are available at the pool and surrounding restaurants, they are making their drinks as fast as possible to keep up with demand and the quality is not consistent.

This also plays in to the restaurants available on the property. My family has been coming here for over 24 years and in that time, the size of the property has grown but the number of restaurants has not kept pace. This can lead to frustration when you want to make reservations or eat at a specific restaurant on a specific night. Nelson at Blu provided great service, along with Alex (Villa de Mar) and Regulo Villa de Mar/Cevicheria).

The only negative I would say is that La Bodega, the steak house, is not worth the hype. The surcharge for the restaurant and the up-charge for little things (mashed potatoes!) is silly when the steaks included at the other restaurants (with mashed potatoes) are of equal quality.

If you are looking for a great Cabo destination, this resort should top the list.

This trip was supposed to be a 52 years anniversary celebration trip for my parents and I was so looking forward to spending time with my parents and my husband. Upon giving the front desk girl a tip for 2 higher floor "Grand King" rooms, someone else came out and told us they can upgrade our rooms to a better location and bigger room if we go to a presentation. We said yes, and upon checking into our rooms, we were disappointed. The so called balcony is so tiny you cannot comfortably sit and enjoy the view. The balcony isn't see through so once you sit, you cannot see the ocean as there is a block of concrete where the balcony is, and there is a giant palm tree that blocks any view. We were extremely disappointed as the first time when we came, we booked a 1 bedroom suite and it was an amazing experience. The safe doesn't work and the AC was extremely loud and doesn't go down to under 21 degrees. They eventually fixed the safe after we called them 3 times and 4 people ended up trying to fix it and finally brought a new safe which they should have done in the first place. In my parents room, they could not close the closet door.
Food was decent, however, the evening service at Blu was one of the worst we've ever experienced. Our server showed us attitude, never gave us the wine we ordered (my husband and I ended up heading to the bar area to ask for wine and brought it back ourselves after waiting for over 15 minutes), and we asked for water and the rest of the servers never brought us water. The entire team seemed frazzled and unorganized. Needless to say, we never went back there for dinner. However lunch @ Blu was amazing, and Carlo was amazing server, and we went there 3 times during our stay for lunch. The Italian Restaurant Rosato maintained their consistency and was good service and good food. We also went to the spa and it was very good spa services.

I will suggest to the resort to have buffet for lunches and evenings.
Certain areas at the resort need some upgrading as it appears old and dirty.
We were so put off by the "upgraded" room that we let the sales rep know and we did not buy into the program, and he was pretty upset with us. I definitely feel like I was in some high tactic sales meeting. If you cannot take the feedback, then you shouldn't be in that business.

We will not be back to this resort, we were extremely disappointed with the money we spent and the room and service we received were not up to standard.

Our stay at the Hotel Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos had significant ups and downs. We arrived on Thursday the 27th and, upon check-in, were not taken to the VIP lounge as expected. In addition, two people attended us in the process: one started and then another arrived, which generated confusion and the promotions of our reservation were not respected, even requested evidence of them. It is important to mention that my annoyance is due to the fact that we are master members of Fiesta Americana Club Vacation and that the service we usually receive is much better service.

Although we had all-inclusive service, both rooms had empty refrigerators. We thought it would be filled the next day, but it was not and we had to request it ourselves. When they stocked it, they only gave us liter and a half soda and three packets of potatoes.

Another uncomfortable situation was the differentiation in the armbands for the all-inclusive. There were four people and my brother and sister-in-law were given different color bracelets, explaining that only the two of us could access the Premier bar. This was disappointing, as it is important for me to share these experiences with my family, especially considering that we use timeshare points for the stay. This situation makes me reconsider buying more points if I cannot share them with my loved ones.

Despite these drawbacks, I must highlight the excellent service of some staff. Concierge Alice tried to support us as much as possible. In the restaurant, Régulo deserves special mention: his attention in the breakfast buffet and in the cevicheria was exceptional. Always attentive, he remembered our names and what we wanted to take, providing quick and friendly service.

The food in all the restaurants was delicious. The breakfast buffet cooks are excellent and attentive to the needs of guests. In the pool area, Yahir was very attentive and helped us get a bed and umbrella quickly.

Another plus is the water temperature in the pools, always nice and clean, making one not want to leave the water.

Although the hotel has several years, the maintenance and cleaning are excellent. Everything looked clean and well maintained. Anahí, who did our room service, was very attentive.

In summary, although there were negative aspects that affected our experience, the service of some staff and the quality of the food were highlights that deserve recognition.

We are long time Cabo Fiesta Americana vacationers, having been part of Fiesta Americana Vacation Club since 2002. All I can say is as of the last half decade the place has gone downhill considerably. This trip 3 weeks after the hurricane they are still doing almost nothing to repair the damage…elevators that don’t work, devastated beach and palapa etc and not a single construction worker in sight doing repairs. We ended up having to call the front desk several days to get the room cleaned very late in the day after being gone all day…they either forgot or don’t have enough staff. They push all inclusive but most days the restaurants are full until quite late. And now the extremely boorish game of going out at 7 AM to leave towels on beach chairs and then never coming back until noon has gotten to the point where there are absolutely no beach seats available with shade. We were told they don’t want to stop the boorish tourists from doing this because they don’t like confrontation and don’t know how to manage it. And the condo folks have the gall to tell us it is the best Fiesta Americana has to offer of all their resorts and will compete with the new 4 Seasons being built next door! The actual FAVC deal has now become a pyramid scheme where every time you visit your points are worth less and in order to just get the same level of access you previously had you need to spend $10K on more points. I suspect we will end up checking out the Cancun options. It is unfortunate that what was once a great destination has become a poorly maintained well-worn resort. Great staff and they should not be blamed….management is clearly at fault.

Let's start with the good things about the place. Firstly, it is quite large and has several pools, we have 7 in total, including those that are exclusive for members, adults and principal, so they are not as full as in other hotels where they only have 1 to 3 pools. There are golf carts to transport you to certain points of the hotel. There are free magic shows, Michael Jackson impersonators, Elvis Presley, adult shows (non-sexual), live singers, violin music, among others, free daily in different parts of the hotel. The Kids Club is very good with activities for children from early until 9:30 p.m.
Now the bad. First of all, “All Inclusive” is only in the name since this does not exist, they manage the European plan so all food and drinks have a very inflated price (for example a hamburger for $450, 2 tacos for $350 or a soft drink at $70) which almost forces you to have their “All Inclusive” plan unless they want to be leaving the complex to buy food or errands to prepare in their room. But in the “All Inclusive” everything is not included since they have their premium menu where food or drinks are not included in that place. There were almost daily blackouts where we were left without electricity for periods of up to 15 minutes on several occasions daily, so we did not even have cooling in the room. We would think that a hotel of such a category would have several power plants for emergencies, but that is not the case. I had talked about golf carts to get around, since there is insufficient staff since there were many vehicles stopped and they only had around 5 in operation for the entire hotel and for the Live Aqua! It was almost impossible for them to pick you up and I heard other people walking who had been requesting one for more than 40 minutes… The food, apart from being expensive, is mostly not exceptional at all, with the exception of La Bodega or Roseto which have better quality.
The hotel is good to go for 3-4 days maximum and only to go once since there are better hotels from the same Posadas group with better service, quality of food and they are All Inclusive like the one they have in Puerto Vallarta.

Yes it is in the same location. As a timeshare owner you can choose to do the all inclusive at the hotel.

Just got back. The pool is heated, but is a little chilly right when you get in. After a couple minutes though it feels great!

"The resort is all-inclusive. They are very accomodating to young children. It is a great "stay in place" should you just want to relax."
