The service here was amazing. The cleaning service cleaned our room perfectly at the same time everyday so we knew when they would be done. The ridge pool and bar was fantastic. Jose was our waiter all week and he knew exactly what we wanted at the same time of day and made sure we were taking care of all day long. Jose made this trip amazing!

Amazing and helpful staff who were attentive to all of our needs. I highly recommend the restaurant and bar at The Ridge.
Our room had a beautiful view of the marina and city. The pool areas were clean and comfortable, at the right time you can even see whales coming out of the ocean.
The hotel is located in a convenient area with the beach and downtown just a walk away. I plan on staying at this resort again for my next Cabo trip!

CONS Cesear behind the desk was NOT friendly or apologetic when he could not find any reservation for us and made the check in process take forever. The resort is huge with tons of walking and stairs and stairs. We got a suite with a full kitchen. There was no coffee in the room and no creamer. They charged us $10 just for the coffee. There was no water in the room. We had to pay for it also down at their little shop, and it closes at 10pm. So right off the bat we had a bad taste in our mouths. I picked this place because on trip advisor it showed a huge swim up pool bar, so I thought it would be a great place to party and hang out without going downtown. Nope. First the pool surface is so rough below the water line from either low PH for too long or low calcium (been in the pool biz for 24years). I actually got my foot cut up so badly it’s still not healed a week after I’m back to the states and everyone in the pool was complaining. No one was sitting on the bar stools because they hurt your butt. Oh and it’s not a part pool bar. I’m 47 one of the youngest people there. And they close the pool bar down at 6pm! Do not think you can get in the ocean either because while it was beautiful, a big red flag and a guard was running people off.
PROS the wait and bartending staff at the ridge pool was great, especially cirilo and Andres. Keep those 2 and give them a raise! The drinks and food everywhere we ate on the resort were great or above average. The wait staff in Calima was especially excellent. The temperature in February was amazing with a particularly cool breeze always blowing atop the ridge.beautiful well kept hotel and the views from the ridge which is separate from the main hotel (and you have to have an access key) were incredible. 10-15 minute walk to the marina depending on how far away you are from the hotel. Oh and you cannot get to divorce or lovers beach unless you want to do some serious mountain climbing, so if you are thinking you want to go there since it “looks” so close, take a $12 water taxi from the marina.

The good: great location, amazing views, nice pools, pool service excellent. The bad: as soon as you walk in the lobby you're hit with an ammonia stench - room was also smelly. Not hot shower. Place is HUGE...you feel lost going from top of Ridge to lower pool. Too much expansion there. Last...make sure to check your bill closely. They add a service charge to EVERY transaction (you have to request to have them removed). They also add a 'voluntary' $15 charity donation. Last, they double charged us for the Beach Party. Felt fleeced - not coming back.

We had a wonderful time at The Ridge. Always impeccable service. The restaurant and pool staff are top notch. Benito, Uriel, Cirello and Jose always made our breakfast experience a pleasure. With their good morning smiles and greetings. We even were taught how to order our breakfast in Spanish from Benito. (Some days were better than others. lol. ) Breakfast was always tasty and the presentation was a nice touch. We spent most of the days with Ofelia around the pool and after the first day she really got into a great rhythm with us. Our glasses were never empty. She knew what we liked to drink and when to bring them. The views are beautiful from the Ridge. At the quiet infinity pool(adult only) you are able to enjoy the ocean views. From the larger infinity pool and kiddie pool you can enjoy the Marina and Medano beach. There were only a few issues that we had. •Building D seems to have an AC problem in July. They were kind enough to move us to a different building with basically our same view. •The selections of restaurants for the All Inclusive is dwindling. They sold Puerto San Lucas and did not replace it. They used to have the Ridge restaurant opened at night a few days a week for dinner and they no longer offer that. •They use to have a private entrance and exit for Ridge guest to get to the street easy without going through the hotel and they did away with that.
Our suggestion for The Ridge and Playa Grande is to have live music nightly and a fire pit. There is really nothing to do at night after dinner so most people go off property or to their rooms.

This review is for Samuel, Antonio, Pedro, Daniel, Andres, and Lillian! the service from them was beyond exceptional. Despite us being young adults they still tended to our needs making sure we were well kept at the sports bar, adult pool bar, and pool side service. Although we had issues with room maintenance within the resort- these quickly went away due to the service provided by these people. The service by these people made our time in Cabo memorable and we are looking forward to coming back and seeing them!!! GREAT STAFF!!!!!

We stayed at the Ridge for 12 nights in April 2022 and absolutely loved it. Certainly, some of the one bedroom suites are looking a little rundown but the service, food and drinks more than made up for it. As an aside, I did have an opportunity to see a couple of the two bedroom Penthouse suites and they were both updated and gorgeous so if you want a modern suite, then I suggest upgrading to a two bedroom PH. The staff at the Ridge were exceptional (except for one bad apple who yelled at me about an error that he made) but Martin, Blanca and the rest of the team at the pool area, more than made up for it. The rooms were kept exceptionally clean by room service, and fresh towels and linens were used every day, which is exceptional compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at. The location is also fantastic and within walking distance to the Marina. We loved it so much, we are bringing our kids back for another 10 nights (3 at GS Lands End and 7 at the Ridge) in July 2022 so we can have some more quality family time. Highlights for our kids were the waterslide and pool area.

This trip was one of my favorite since coming to Cabo! On our first day we checked in and it was flawless. We worked with Goretty who was kind and very efficient. She was the best part because I had a broken foot and she was able to put us in the perfect room that was not too far from anything. Then we’re served by the happiest waiter named Jorge. We would wait for him every morning and sit wherever he was working. The other person I wanted to mention is Carmen. She was our room attendant and she did such a great job cleaning around 4 disorganized adults. We had a different towel animal everyday. The views were spectacular and the Mexican Fiesta night was so fun! My only complaint is that it is not very handicapped accessible which made it difficult for me to get around. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone!

Pool side server Ofelia enters the pool deck "I am ready, Wake up!" She walks around the deck reminding us for our morning cocktail. Noon comes reminds us to order food and a drink! Next visit 3 o'clock drink special. Ofelia always wears a smile with a giggle!

I agree with the suggestion to contact them prior to coming. They are very responsive and support your needs better if you contact them before you arrive. There are reserved umbrellas for Ridge folks at the beach end of the resort. When we were there, there were several available each time. The report on the roughness of the waves and serious currents keep all of out of the water for our own safety. Too many stories to not take that advice seriously. But there are other beaches you can go to for beach swimming.
There are more places to choose from in the Cabo San Lucas area.
